Tommy is funny! His face was priceless when Alex started talking about keeping the walls! 🤣
Sarah's face was funny when her husband came up with a different idea. She listen and that part I loved. Tommy of course was being his funny self.
Love it, lol
Sarah, I am not even halfway through, but I had to stop and tell you, just in case you don't know, you have got THE BEST HUSBAND.....EVAAAHHH.....LOL love the way guys relate. ...o.k back to the show...😁😁

That stone wall is GORGEOUS! Aren’t you glad you kept it?
Super-super-super-super!!!!!!!! 👍👍

Excellent.... creative, educational, inspirational and reality face off! Just really great segment! Watch it again...🤭
Glad you enjoyed it!
So glad they kept that beautiful wall of brick. Love it love it love it.
Sarah, you have great imagination, able to visualize what you want to do and get it done the way you like it. Amazing person!
Thank you! 😊
Love all of this!
Sarah your houses is beautiful, enjoy it,god bless your family.
Thank you so much!
We did one of these wife-makes-only-so-so-financial-real-estate-deal, too, so I can relate. Thank goodness for my minister of the exterior stepping up and saving the day, like Alex did.
Love it all!
It's a lovely looking house at the front.
Quite elegant
Love, Love, Love this home.
That is so lovely, truly a selling feature
That turned out amazing!
I love that Sarah said she doesn't design just to look pretty, she designs for life. That's my complaint about a lot of HGTV shows, I feel some of the designers just go for a high end look, but not for how people really live. Love Sarah and Tommy!
Yep, suuuperb.
Brilliant yet again 🌻♥️
I will see this one again. I love this basement and how you all brought it together. With the height of the ceiling, makes it so functional.
Hello Elizabeth how are you doing and thanks for your love ❤️❤️❤️
Sarah, you have a nice Cherry Pink sweater, and the regular black coffee you made for Alex looks delicious.
Love watching anything Sarah on Abode! So glad I found this! I love Robin and Fiona's reaction to the bathroom! It's like watching Sarah and Alex. Fiona is shocked while Robin is laughing. Can't wait to watch more!

Love this
I absolutely Love love love your decorating ideas. Please come and help me here in South Africa,???? So wish you were closer. Stunning stunning ideas. Totally addicted to your videos and adore Tommy!!
That looks nothing like a basement it is absolutely gorgeous I love all of it
'BEAUTIFUL' Just LOVE everyone's ideas on how to put this room together. Beautiful! LOVE from Chicago
So talented
I love it so much but Sarah always does amazing design. The only thing I wish she would have added is a small powder room so you wouldn’t have to run upstairs to potty every time you had to go during a get together or movie night
Just do what Sarah wants - cmon! Ha! It's the best
Great as always!
Thanks again!
Awesome. Fantastic. Outstanding. Tremendous. Just when I think you've designed your best-past projects-you hit another grand slam! And that's what keeps me coming back for more. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you like it!
The transformation of this house is absolutely stunning from the videos I have seen so far. Same for the other houses & rooms you have refurbished. Just saw this one & love how great the basement turned out. Especially liked the glass enclosed staircase, laundry area & foundation wall. But I would never put vinyl flooring in my house. It's bad enough I have vinyl siding & a home fire with vinyl involved spreads very quickly & is extremely toxic & deadly. It's all made of PVC, vinyl flooring too. It off-gases phthalates & chemicals constantly. It's a disaster in the landfills where burning toxic fumes harm the environment.
I remember watching Sarah on HGTV here in the states when she got pregnant with her first child. Can’t believe she is that big already.
I knew her on the show when she was single! I feel old.
love it
As always Sarah, you are great at what you do. 🥰Love your designs 👍.
Thank you so much!
Love this episode!! Wish Sarah could come to Massachusetts and finish off our basement !!
You know you would have to pay for it, right? It’s not free to renovate your house lol. Everything you want cost money and of course you have to pay Sarah and her employees.
This transformation is spectacular. Love that the original building's stone foundation was kept--and turned into a feature. What did you do to it to clean and polish it?
(basement: sump pump area suggestion), that Alex is why you are "The Minister of Exteriors"! 😂❤
Loved the whole thing. Your redesign is fabulous!!
This media room turned out fantastic! 👏👏👏 Would you share what app you were using to "test drive" the furniture before buying the pieces?
Yes please,! I waited and waited for the name and you never mentioned it! Love the house, this is really fun.
I love your style. My concern is that you are putting a great deal of money into a rental. We had rental properties for several years and the renters always tore up the houses. I hope you have better success than we did. Maybe a higher end property will not draw destructive. I wish you well.
I get an en endorphin dump from the feely intro music followed by SARAH.
Wish we could see the whole house !!
You will do as the series continues😄
I’m liking what you did with the addition but what did you do with the rest of the house keeping it Victorian out side but landscape how did you incorporate the barn I’ve enjoyed your videos your leaving us wanting more not a bad cliffhanger
With a 400,000 budget, you can do practically anything.
Tesla free ( inexpensive) energy is coming to us ALL before too long.
I have just recently discovered your channel and I absolutely love your ideas and designs.
Just wondering, what colour of lighting are you using with your interior designs?
3000k or 4000k??
Sometimes, a cream of the crop psychic is more than worth what you can possibly pay. The right one can let you know property surprises. Just say ‘ n
That tractor thingy with jaws for demolition looks like every 3 year old boy’s fantasy about being a dinosaur.
the room is lovely, what did you do on the stairs and treads to make it look like the floor?
Surprised laundry didnt just go upstairs rather than thru the obstacle course basement area lol
Not bad ,but the house itself is Not contemporary ,but vintage, victorian and the design should have followed that thread...at least you saved the stone wall. Kudos..
I hardly think that the interior of this house needs to follow some “rules’ like that. There’s no doubt this house flows well exactly how it was built and decorated. There’s not a single jarring view in the whole building.
What design/virtual walk through app is that?
Was Tommy on Schitt's Creek??
Any time you’re building from scratch, the changing space perception will happen…over and over. First too small, then too big….trust your design numbers, not your eyes!
Those stairs to the basement i feel is too big! Why didn’t they try to put the stairs in the corner instead? Would save tons of space? But then again i’m no designer.
No bathroom in the basement???
I'm amazed that they don't remove the glass windows before tearing it all down. For one thing, they could probably be re-used. For another... broken glass everywhere! I don't understand this approach.
These three were such a great team. I hate that Tommy is out of the picture now . . .
I want to see the rest of the house?
Watch the other episodes? lol
Sarah, can I have your husband. So understanding and calm.
No horizontal beams in basement...makes it feel soo small
They poured concrete on a snowing day, I reckon temperature would certainly be below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. You NEVER pour concrete at that freezing temperatures. This project was botched on a very fundamental level.
Sandra Westley uk, I expect they used antifreeze in the concrete, they are professional builders, they do know what they are doing.
Why bunch of professionals have no plan before they start all the works?
They could of reused the wood from the walls of they didn't tear it down like that but okay
I'll tell you what you can do... hahah
It's wonderful! But hardly a green build just because they repurposed a few boards as an accent. And bought solar panels. It sort of bugs me how they keep congratulating themselves over this.
It's outdoor lumber too, so I wonder in the long term how safe it is to use that kind of treated wood in a space with no windows.
Am I the one who thinks that this TV series is a complete show of Sarah Richardson? Look: I married rich and my husband and I constantly buy houses around Canada and turn them into luxury homes? Aren't we just great? They talk abou budget all the time but as we all know: Richardson does not really have a budget...her father in law is former Minister of Finances and her husband is a millionaire..plus she always talks about herself and her work as amazing.. who does this? PLus I count 7 different wood colours in this basement, this is not good design.
amd the solar is tax deductible
When does the next episode drop
In less than 3 hours! new episodes every Wednesday😎
It’s my way or no way! Her attitude reminds me of the last dear leader! Needs adoration every 10 seconds. Her little muppet agrees with her and she is purring while he looks like the Cheshire Cat on steroids because the ‘boss’ agreed with him. Mutual self adoration.
tommy has issues. he doesnt like anything fake but he paints wood.
what you do works, love love the designs. when i watch the sound is turned off for your voice is to loud and brash. the end product is what counts ido hope we never meet, even though i could use your help.
this is a disease.........
$10,000 for a railing.........then a cheap floor........sorry doesn't work for me!!!!!!!!!
