I’ve had furniture recovered and in many cases it is less expensive to buy new than recover some old thing. If you already own it and the piece means something to you then recover it.
I've had furniture recovered and it's always been free, including the fabric! You just have to know where to look and who to kidnap! And where to dispose of the bodies afterwards.
You turned a mess into a wonderful constructive area. I understand people need designers to help them but I've but I find it amazing they had no idea how to go about making things look less messy.
I love everything U do and Tommy is fabulous too .I love the way U two work together .I live in the US ,Alabama ,but I would love anything u design and have followed much of your advice .
A wonderful upgrade! Truly lovely. And lots of great tips/ideas. Love you two working together. Your work transitions throughout the years…never looks dated.
@@AbodeHomeChannel seriously thank you been searching for Sarah content for years almost all her designs are timeless. Could y’all look for the I Brake for Yard Sales with Lara Spencer, I don’t thinks it’s but one or two seasons but I have been looking for them forever too and could. I get watch them like I do Sarah
Wow, gorgeous! (as always) Really great, useful space now! The only thing I would change is the coffee table - it's too big, too bulky, and has too many sharp corners. Remember, they had LITTLE kids, one just walking. Which means little heads may come into contact with the furniture. Ouch. Not enough room around the coffee table to move, really. A round or oval coffee table might have fit the bill better, IMO.
It's beautiful, love the storage ideas. Carpet in the basement for me though - NO! What if you have a sewer back-up? What if your basement floods from a broken water pipe or a burst pipe from the water heater or even, Heaven forbid, flooding outside that pours in through the basement windows? With our climate changing, never count out that you could get a flooded basement.
Great idea! But wouldn't you rather have a comfy carpet under your feet on all those days there isn't a flood? Way more chance of no flood than flood...
Sarah..you MUST stop sharing the result at the beginning of your shows! Why, I ask myself, would I feel compelled to watch the show if you have already showed me the result?? There is now no dramatic tension!
Omg all the things we were told NOT to do in 2000s lolz. This sure is an old show. RED really???? That big print for childrens play area curtain is a big no no. Should hv just stuck with the same print curtains. Too much red even with colors coming back in fashion in 21' 22'
I loved the redo and the use of red! But I don't get the room. Ivory walls, white sofa, white in the fabric, light carpet? Curtains, accessories, and a TV on a low console? First of all, the kids will have it dirty and destroyed in a week The TV can fall on them, and all the glass bowls, wicker balls will be ruined. I wouldn't get a chair from the trash. Covid, pet urine, roaches, bedbugs? Nasty is right!
@@janewasson4845 OK, then why have anything to begin with? Save all that money and give them nothing since they will break everything anyone. Give them a mattress and a pillow and a blanket and move on.
@@thehungrygoldfish No reason to be extreme. Just childproof fun areas, protection, easily cleaned surfaces, washable paint, and reasonable colors. Not light colors, designer decor, and a TV placed where it can fall on a child. Just common sense decor for and around kids.

I love it when Sarah does mixed metals in her jewellery. She has great taste.
This shows the genius of Design, Inc.

Sue here: love this basement redo - it's cozy and stunning. Love the reds ❤❤❤
One of the best episodes I've ever watched on these designs. Thank you!
The dog at the end almost getting the popcorn, so cute!
How ever much I dislike the red, I have to admit that this basement looks Fabulous.
One of my all time fave episodes
That storage is genius.
Aww the pup just wanted to be included

Talk about solutions! Sarah brought it again! Storage and style. Love it.
She's so great
What a beautiful change to a boring basement. It now looks amazing!
Oh, I'm so glad you are on UA-cam! Who knew? Yea! Thank you.

Love the red in such of a variety of fabrics! Beautiful and functional room!
Love it. The storage is a great idea and the orange colour is so fresh.
Wow, this looks so good. I think I need to redesign my living room. Just love it ❤️
The kitchen cabinet idea is so perfect for a kitchen, too Oh thank you
I would love this room. It stands the test of time. How long ago was this show?
Fantastic transformation!
Is a light colored couch a wise choice for a family with small children?
Yes. Just wrap your kids in plastic and you're good to go!
Thank you, again, Abode, fabulous :D
Pleasure!

Outstanding. Beautiful space
to enjoy. the blessing of
being ❤️
Couldn't agree more!
What happened to desk area in the before view?
Well done!
as always another great makeover
Thank you! 😊
Where do the people put their clutter when the basement was cleaned out? You 2 are ingenious
Fantastic !!!
Tommy is right about the chair
To be fair, Tommy is a diva. Like, yes, we would want a $15o,000 chair covered in silk and diamonds, but we can't all afford it, honey.

I do not use a coffee table, for just that reason, no ease of walking.
Great transformation but the tall storage in the play area is awkward.
This design felt claustrophobic for me but I loved the colours
gorgeous
Love it!
Basements can be cold and dark. Can you address lighting better in those spaces?
Where did the lawn mower go?
In the bathroom!
And what happened to the office?
It turned into a crack den. More versatile, you know?
Confused--why create a laundry area separate from the laundry machines
DVDs...??!
Those cabinets need to be secured to the wall for the kid's safety.
I hated sectional seating because I feel trapped.
Pronounced E COT. Not E CAT. Ikat. Always gorgeous.
Those red picture frames are just too much red.

You know all of that can easily be changed, right? It's not like curtains and picture frames are permanent, lol.
Maximize not maximise

Sell the kids and move on. God. if your kids are that bad, just get rid of them.
@@thehungrygoldfish it's not that the kids are necessarily bad, it's just the decor is wrong for kids that age.

CAN'T fall on a child.
