    Funny story...
Back when I was in middle school, a group of us went on a trip to D.C. Back then, I was superstitious (though, I still am, but a medium, so it kinda cuts down the superstition a bit) and was psyched to visit the diamond. It was on display on a slowly rotating platform. Excited to see the legendary Hope diamond, I went up to the ropes and looked in awe at it as it revolved only to have the rotation stop with it facing dead at me! I had a very brief freakout in my head before it started to revolve again. Turns out the display turns a little, stops, then resumes turning. Lol

Please do a video on lab grown gems.
Are they cheaper? How do you tell the difference? What can and cannot be grown in a lab?

In Czechia the royal crown, apple and staff (or as they say "Korunovačni klenoty") contain many gemstones. It is said that if any person that is not chosen by people to be king puts on the crown will die along with his son. Just something that might interest you.

I'm kinda surprised that you didn't mention the volcanic stones from Kilauea Volcano from the big island of Hawai'i (though they're not really specific gemstones so maybe that's why)
Google "Pele's curse" for anyone who's curious

When I was 10 I had a necklace I was convinced was cursed. The pendant was a plastic dalmatian, don't remember why I thought it was cursed...

Very informative video. Liked getting to see what Hope looked like, whose name is given to the famous diamond that bears his name. As a kid, got to see the Hope Diamond at the Smithsonian and I was surprised to see its dark blue color. It was explained to me that traces of the element boron account for this.

0:50ff.... "King Edward of Woodstock" never existed. The "Black Prince" was Edward, the crown prince, eldest son of Edward III, and he died before his father and never became king. Jeez!
