When I was a child.. there were TV shows... Wonderful shows with real stars.. who had talent .. and were funny .. and charming.. and could sing .. and dance .. and tell stories.. and paint pictures of an entirely different world that would make your imagination soar... And now.. we have shows.... where you can watch a heavyset girl with incredibly low self-esteem and a desperate-for-attention stage mother shop for a wedding dress. Yes.. that's IT.. THAT's the show.. A show.... where you get to watch someone shop for a wedding dress. There's also a show where you can watch a girl or a guy interview 20 potential dates.. and narrow it down to just one... roughly just 4 weeks before you read about their dramatic break-up on a magazine cover in the grocery store check-out line. There's also a show where you can watch kids who are addicted to life ON a COMPUTER SCREEN figure out if the person they've been chatting with on line is a girl or a guy or a prison inmate. These are ACTUAL TV SHOWS. (The prophecy documentary called "Idiocracy" foretold shows like this... with one called "Ow, my balls". And this .. is what we've become. Thank God for UA-cam.)
Somewhere Over the Rainbow was written sort of as a sequel to this song, which was written a lot earlier. Listen to the lyrics, rainbows, bluebirds, etc. Judy Garland became famous for this song, too.
Hi Have The Complete tv special from 1974 with original commercials,it all so comes with Merry Christmas With Love Julie from 1979.2hrs,8+ in quality&Menu selection
Lyrics for "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows' were written in the 1930's for this melody composed by Frederick Chopin in the 1840's, known as the Fantaisie Impromptu. It was featured and played by Jose Iturbi in the 1945 bio-film "A Song To Remember".
