- For this traveling split cup pour with METALLIC paints I used 3D printed split cup from @MixedMediaGirl Etsy shop. I really like it, because I have more control over the lines and composition.
I had an idea with more negative space in my head, but I had too much paint in my split cup for that, so I left paint to flow. ;)
TECHNIQUE: Traveling Split cup pour
MATERIAL:
12x20 inch canvas
Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium
Split cup
Cake spinner
Palete knife
COLOURS:
Boesner black
Pebeo iridescent precious gold
Pebeo iridescent silver
Pebeo iridescent copper
Pearl white
All my paints are mixed with Boesner Guardi acrylic binder and acrylic emulsion.

I had totally different pour in my head, but I think that I know, what I did wrong... I will definitely do another one tomorrow with more negative space. ;)

Loved it when you had the two black corners of negative space as the black made the colours pop. Glad you like it though.
I love watching your process and the way you're always thinking of your composition. Your end result is always beautiful, but it really is a lesson in patience and not being afraid to take a chances. I probably would have stopped much earlier and missed the opportunity to see how far I can push it and still maintain the beauty of the piece.

I always enjoy watching your videos Fiona. I even catch myself tilting my phone in the directions that you are tilting your paintings. 😂 I’ve had to take a break from painting myself due to some family issues and me trying to hold up to my obligations. But trust me I really miss painting and I’m more than ready to get back to it SOON I hope.

It's gorgeous...I love the feathery look in the black space...to you an oops or not what you had invisioned but I like it. I'm just starting with pour painting and have so many of your tutorials saved for techniques and color combinations.
