HI, I have actually deleted all the one drive related things and also from the user part and now I am not able to take screenshot it is not saving in the screenshot folder . What should I do , please reply.
I had problems with my one drive, it was first synching folders that would take so long and make my laptop slow so I just waited for it to finish but then the storage of one drive got full so I decided to do what you did and uncheck the backup manage folders to stop the synching but then my games on my desktop disappeared, then I see a “where are my files” icon with a one drive logo that has my files, I clicked on it and it had my games so I clicked on the game GTA Vice city but now my games saves are gone and I don’t know where to find them and I don’t even know how they looked. Does anyone know what could have happened and whether I can be able to get my game saves back?
Your files are saved/moved in the corresponding folders in your OneDrive! Please read the message at 1:46. It basically says that the files that are saved/uploaded to OneDrive, will be deleted from the PC. If you still got OneDrive program, go to its folder and find a copy of all your files. Then, copy and paste them to your PC's with the same names (desktop, etc). Or you could login to your OneDrive and download those files. All the best!
You mean the files in the desktop folder? Then, those files will be deleted from both your computer & the OneDrive. Just make sure to give sometime to OneDrive to synchronise this information with the cloud prior to unlinking it.

Hello and thanks for the video. First thing - The cloud's on my computer isn't next to the folders 'Decktop, Documents and Pictures' like you showed in your video. Nor are these three files to find inside the Onedrive folder on the computer. Second thing - When I stop the backup, the files on my computer will be removed from my desktop, then put inside a cloud file on the desktop called "where is my files" Third thing - If I at this time delete anything from my Onedrive, it will also be deleted from my computer. What do I do here?
Hi. If the clouds are not next to your specified folders, then that "should" mean that they're not in the cloud and hence are not backed up. So, if they're not backed up, then if you stop the back up, these specify folders shouldn't be effected. When you stop the backup, things that are already uploaded to the cloud will be removed from your computer. Hence, if you delete anything from the cloud, they'll be completely deleted. At the same time, if you delete any thing from the cloud and you got the same file in the OneDrive folder in your computer, it'll also get deleted from your computer in order to match the cloud. I suggest you to watch 👉 How to change the location of OneDrive on Windows 10 - ua-cam.com/video/s6mRfYu0_2U/v-deo.html
@@bhupindertube Thanks, I’ll try that. I actually think I managed to succed in what I was doing just before.. took a while to find out though :) So the files were backed up, I believe, because they were inside the drive, even though the cloud wasn’t next to these 3 folders you mentioned… But, what I did then was to click “stop backing up” and so… a new folder with an cloud ikon along with all the files that disappeared, was created in the desk top. Then I moved the files from that folder, directly on to the actual desktop. Think I got it right. And now I’m just thinking… I would like to choose which files that should go inside the drive again. But if I turn the backup on again, it will probably take the whole thing/all files agains. Isn’t there a setting where it will allow me to pick which ones goes inside the drive?
@@anderskruse Great! I suggest you to create folders inside the OneDrive folder on your Computer for the files you wanna backup. Then, you could easily create shortcuts of these folders in any part of your computer for easier access.

1st method actually helped me atlast, I've tried unticking the folders on backup menu, but it still backup, so I've left with last opt i.e unlink this pc :)
Glad it helped and thanks for sharing what worked for you. It is strange that unticking the backup still backed up. Are you sure you've applied the changes after unticking? Also, things that are already backed up, will remain in the OneDrive. It only stops new files from adding on.
Thank you for this great tip to free up my OneDrive storage. Do you also know how I can delete pictures from my phone but keep them in OneDrive so I can free up my phone storage?
It seems an absolute pain this whole Onedrive. I wish I never accepted the invite to sync in the first place when i purchased my PC. Google photos will probably do what you are trying to do. I believe it keeps all photos on it but you can take them off your phone...
Welcome. Sorry for such a late reply. I suggest you to follow 👉 How To Turn Off Auto Upload Of Photos To OneDrive - ua-cam.com/video/ofBLff4RhqA/v-deo.html . But instead of Turning it OFF, Turn it ON. Then, your photos would be automatically uploaded to OneDrive. Then, first check the photos/videos are available in the cloud, and then you could you delete them from your phone. Just don't delete them through OneDrive App on your phone otherwise you're deleting the cloud files!
@@bhupindertube After uninstallation, my entire desktop is still in the OneDrive folder, even though it is not part of a cloud. It is still called OneDrive in the directory, and follows a different route than the empty desktop folder on my C prompt. At this point, it looks like it would require much more work and deleting/reinstallation of important info and programs in order to untangle this. Your video is good, btw, and I appreciate you responding so quickly. Keep up the good work!
I have done this steps. Thank you for posting this. However, once the PC turn off, when it is turn back on, the setting automatically goes back to link again.
Where I've shown the cloud sign, there is an arrow to the right of it, click there and you might find the cloud sign there. Or you could first simply click on the start and type onedrive and then select onedrive from the search and then it should appear in the taskbar. All the best!
I am trying to block one drive because I think only a fool would store their work on someone else's computer. I view Microsoft practice as theft. Thanks for helping me learn to disable that function.
point of addition, when u turn off OneDrive, all desktop created folders will disappear so what u need to do is first move all the things in desktop folder to document folder then unlink OneDrive uncheck backup then again move back your folders from document folder to desktop folder case closed, problem solved and all your desktop folders will be back as normal
Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. Died on the cross rose from the dead three days later so you can have eternal life. You just have to accept his gift of salvation and repent from your sins and surrender your life to him Jesus Christ for eternal life. God Bless Everybody and Everyone !
I did the method before the sync was complete, I guess, because a couple of photos were not in the One Drive folder, neither in my PC. It sucks. I guess I will back up on a hard drive (the documents and desketop) and then use this method. This invasive design sucks, it's actually why I didn't like Google Drive and liked One Drive.
I agree, I think Microsoft is becoming more aggressive in pushing their products and services using Windows. The good news is that it still gives the option to change it!

Again, once you found them, download them and back up them. You could also check the recycle bin on your PC as well. All the best!
How we can save them outside one drive?... I mean can i save it to the "documents" folder underneath one drive?
Simply copy/cut and paste it outside of OneDrive. For example, paste it to D drive instead.
Hi can you please help, i have one drive that is full so i did what you said and disconnected it from my pc but now i can not delete my files cos one drive is missing. How can i delete my files without one drive???

All the best!
what happens if you delete the desktop from one drive before unlinking the PC?
You mean the files in the desktop folder? Then, those files will be deleted from both your computer & the OneDrive. Just make sure to give sometime to OneDrive to synchronise this information with the cloud prior to unlinking it.
@@bhupindertube Thank you for responding and so quickly! So I was able to get the OneDrive back, and its showing the Desktop, DOcuments and Pictures. Now I think if i follow your steps in the video, i should be able to remove it. But I am on an Alienware Laptop, I dont know if that makes a difference or not.

Onedrive backed up my desktop without my permission. Now if I unlink the pc from OneDrive i cant access my desktop images. How do I get them back?
From what you're saying it seems to me that your desktop images where physically in the cloud than on your PC. So, I suggest you to watch ua-cam.com/video/y6VGFmhRa9E/v-deo.html . Please let me know if it helped!
Thank you so much. I was finding myself using up the 5GB but as soon as i would make space it'll fill up with more junk that I didn't need thank you again bruv
Glad I could help! Yes, OneDrive like to fill up the 5 GB and then keep saying you're running out of space so that you'd buy more space.
your video is help ful very much. but i did this before watching the video. i got troubled. i deleted the files without having backup what should i do?
its Sadd😪😪😫😫
Disconnect your internet from your PC so that your OneDrive won't sync the changes. Then, go to another device (another computer), login to your OneDrive online (eg browser) and try to find the deleted files. If you could find it there download them immediately, then go to the recycle bin folder on your online Onedrive (browser) and they should be there. Thankyou so much this fixed my problem

Hello and thanks for the video.
First thing - The cloud's on my computer isn't next to the folders 'Decktop, Documents and Pictures' like you showed in your video.
Nor are these three files to find inside the Onedrive folder on the computer.
Second thing - When I stop the backup, the files on my computer will be removed from my desktop, then put inside a cloud file on the desktop called "where is my files"
Third thing - If I at this time delete anything from my Onedrive, it will also be deleted from my computer.
I suggest you to watch

@@bhupindertube Thanks, I’ll try that.
I actually think I managed to succed in what I was doing just before.. took a while to find out though :)
So the files were backed up, I believe, because they were inside the drive, even though the cloud wasn’t next to these 3 folders you mentioned… But, what I did then was to click “stop backing up” and so… a new folder with an cloud ikon along with all the files that disappeared, was created in the desk top.
Then, you could easily create shortcuts of these folders in any part of your computer for easier access.
thanks good video one drive was slowing down my pc all the time

Hi,how do I move all my photos and videos from One drive to my pc,my one drive storage is full

@@bhupindertube Even I'm facing the same... it's just irritating.
thank you so much this helped a lot.

Is there any way to stop the PC from extracting zipped files to a OneDrive folder, even though I've already uninstalled OneDrive? I hate this app.
What you mean by extracting to OneDrive if you've already uninstalled OneDrive or followed the above video? I don't have the same experience.
Wow, I never heard that before. Could it be that you didn't press on "Apply" and then "OK" and the settings were not saved in the first place?
I cant find the cloud icon idk why
Where I've shown the cloud sign, there is an arrow to the right of it, click there and you might find the cloud sign there. Or you could first simply click on the start and type onedrive and then select onedrive from the search and then it should appear in the taskbar. All the best!

point of addition, when u turn off OneDrive, all desktop created folders will disappear so what u need to do is first move all the things in desktop folder to document folder then unlink OneDrive uncheck backup then again move back your folders from document folder to desktop folder case closed, problem solved and all your desktop folders will be back as normal
