I've come to support Team China not because of the players or the country. It's because of her. I want to see her team win. She is such an inspiration!
The reason for the cancellation of the premiere was that the documentary was broadcast abroad and could not be seen by Chinese audiences. Even if Chinese audiences saw it, there was no Chinese subtitles and many Chinese audiences could not understand the meaning of it. Therefore, the director wants to make it available to audiences all over the world, including Chinese audiences who cannot access the foreign Internet. Therefore, the producer is making various contacts at present. Not only foreign audiences can see the premiere, but also Chinese audiences can see the documentary with Chinese subtitles at the same time.
The latest I heard now is that they are aiming for a Chinese theatrical release. I get it from a business standpoint, since the Chinese market will have strong demand to see it. But to abandon the global market as a result also seem rather unwise. There are people around the world wanting to watch this after all. Some vague and meaningless statement about being released "later this summer" really does not cut it.

So Olympic Channel, since the premiere of this documentary at the We are One film festival got cancelled for some reason, what is the new release date?
If Lang has this, they should do Cuba's story and USSR. Volleyball with Lang ping is great, but you must also add some ppl or team that pioneered the sport in the old times. Who agrees with me tho🤔
The youtube link to the video on the We are one Global Film Festival site has been taken down for some reason. And the documentary can no longer be found on its schedule. Has it been taken off the air for some reason? And why?
Its almost September and fall is approaching and still there is no release date??? I guess "released later this summer" is not going to work. Is it even going to be released this year or next???
I'm asking the same question. Why has it mysteriously disappeared? Is this just some glitch and it will air as schedule? Or has been taken off the film festival for some reason?
@@video_watcher9252 You would think the film festival organizers would at least have the courtesy to announce the film would be replaced. But not even that. Just disappeared out of thin air.
I wonder if Jenny Lang Ping used some of the training methods her coached used on her when she coached the USA team by having a member of the men's team stand on a stool on the other side of the net constantly spiking the ball in their faces, body, or feet until they connect on 30 of the shots before the coach would signal for the guy to stop. lol
It was a technique that Yuan Weimin actually learned from Japanese coach Hirofumi Daimatsu, who was invited to China in 1964 and 1965 following the Japanese women's volleyball gold medal in 1964 Tokyo. Daimatsu was notoriously insane in his coaching methods... he was a POW during WW2. You can find videos here on how he trained the women and accounts stated he didn't let them sleep more than a few hours per night. They'd work in the factory all day then train until 1-2am, him pelting volleyballs at them... when he was invited to China one of the young national team volleyball players taking part in the trainings was Yuan Weimin.
Since World War II, no country with a population of more than 50 million has been able to live a happy life because of democracy and freedom. Brother, you are so naive
Winning an olympic gold when she was still a player and then winning olympic gold as a coach. She's a real legend. 🔥
She was the woman who really changed Volleyball in China forever. Great to see her in five rings film through Olympic channel. Love you ♥️
