when I saw my friend stream this game, my first impression was that she was a big drug addict, tripping hard on some acid , leaving her in a distorted vision of reality, using inanimate objects as a guitar and imagining them as her guitar. Being a rock star must be hard.
As someone else on another UJL video said: "The adjectives on the right aren't how well you're playing the song, but rather how well your acid trip is going."
Wow, good times. Played this with my son back in the day and he always kicked my ass...Didn't help that I was actually a musician playing actual gigs !
This game was made before Guitar Hero which had latency compensation in the options...these early rythm games were notoriously lagging behind what you are seeing on screen vs. audio....the only exception being Bust a Groove
The pilot has PTSD from the vietnam war. He has a full literal flash back while in the air. I say this because UJL came out 1999 pre-9/11. He looks like he’s about 50 ish (20ish years old during Vietnam) 30 years past give since the war. I’m 29 with PTSD after serving in the Marines. It’s kinda funny, I remember being 7 years old when I got this game. Damn.
The musical segments, excluding the idol performance and milkcan gig, is all in her mind since she feels much braver with her guitar but shy when she doesn’t. Hence “my guitar is in my mind” is what gets her to deal with the situation at hand.
I can't believe Parappa got more games than Lammy. This game looks easier to play instead of Parappa's pin point precision game, the rifts sound good as oppose to Parappa's "having a seizure" rating system, and the music is pretty good. Plus, she LITERALLY DIES and has to rock out on the highway to hell just to get to her concert. Parappa was just believing in himself, learning lessons or stopping a guy sick of food turning it into noodles.
this games actually harder but yes omg it’s much more fun to freestyle on and feels more natural and satisfying. and as much of an acid trip the storyline is it’s much cooler than parappas imo

This is not my real name. I just chose a random first and last name because I didn't want anyone to discover my true identity. You are the first people to learn this.
These songs were so great, before rock band, guitar hero, and all that. The overdrive guitar on the woodchuck song is so instense 🔥 kudos to the developers
Best one was the airplane level, hands down. Despite being simple, this game really was ahead of its time. Keep in mind that this came out before Guitar Hero or anything else. Parappa and Um Jammy were the OGs for this genre. I would say that they created it. There was absolutely nothing like this when it first came out.
Classic game, but the difficulty can be all over the place. Stages 3 and 6 annoyed me to no end. Stages 2 and 4 are my personal favorite because of how smooth stage 2 is and how hardcore the beat is for stage 4. The final stage is one of the easiest, next to the tutorial level with Chop Chop Master Onion.
Can we get some sort of explanation as to what Katy and Ma-San got got up with? Doesn’t have to be a game, something like a comic would be fine. But they have whole costumes in the localized versions and I NEED the story behind those

lammy somehow fell asleep for like 3 1/2 minutes, put out a whole fire, went to a babysitting area and babysitted, flew a plane to get closer, chucked a new guitar, LITERALLY went to HELL, yet still made it to the band. this game’s plot proves you can do way too much just to not miss something
"this is where i watched my parents die lammy"
**Cool rock music**
Ok but Lammy herself kinda just died and went to hell once
lammy is clawing at a child's face and using it as a guitar and it doesn't seem to care at all
0:28 In the background you can hear the final song playing
But as a piano
@@wantedbird55srandomchannel28 Yea
Who the hell names their band "Milkcan"?
Who calls their last name Wojcik?
This is not my real name. I just chose a random first and last name because I didn't want anyone to discover my true identity. You are the first people to learn this.
A lamb, a cat, and whatever the drummer is supposed to be
FunnyMadd Games chipmunk?
ma-san
These songs were so great, before rock band, guitar hero, and all that. The overdrive guitar on the woodchuck song is so instense 🔥 kudos to the developers
Lammy just casually gets a few electric shocks in S6 and continues playing as normal. As you do.
I'll be real, I like this so much better than Parappa, and I already really like Parappa.
Aaron Wiley. What!!!
Kid Me: Why would she tell Lammy about an After School Sale?
Older me: Oh. That's what she meant. HOW THE FUCK DID THAT GET INTO A KID'S GAME?!
What does it mean
Teen pregnancy.
zeldaed123 Omfg I'm legit mentally scared now that I see that cutscene
zeldaed123 oh my god I’m dense.....
I only just realized that after reading the comments...
Its teen mom 3
The pilot is on pills...
that’s how he broke his plane!
17:32 - 17:34
DP As in drunk and pissed
29:03 uh no lammy, your guitar is in your hand.
That's exactly what I thought!
Maybe she's just going crazy
So cool that you put the full version of "Keep Your Head Up!"
Please put the Parappa campaign link in the description now.
Oh yeah, thanks.
31:28 THE CLUTCH AT THE END OF THE SONG IM AT THE EDGE OF MY SEATTT
I played this when i was 12/13 years old it hit then and hits now.. ❤
Parrappa on drugs.
...so just parappa the rapper?
PaRappa the Drugger
Un Chico Loco [INACTIVO TEMPORALMENTE] Honestly, PaRappa is just as bizarre lol
coloneele nuudles Parappa the raper
DRUGT
This is the kind of stuff that I would watch as a kid and then have nightmares.
28:02 Are we just gonna ignore Lammy breaking the fourth wall?
She is right about that.
"wHaT a StUpId GaMe"
Classic game, but the difficulty can be all over the place. Stages 3 and 6 annoyed me to no end. Stages 2 and 4 are my personal favorite because of how smooth stage 2 is and how hardcore the beat is for stage 4. The final stage is one of the easiest, next to the tutorial level with Chop Chop Master Onion.
i played this game like crazy as a kid, which probably explains why i am the way i am today lol.
Can we get some sort of explanation as to what Katy and Ma-San got got up with? Doesn’t have to be a game, something like a comic would be fine. But they have whole costumes in the localized versions and I NEED the story behind those
they also had to deal with absurdly weird lsd induced shit like lammy knowing they came there on the same time
3:58 CHOP CHOP MASTER ONION WAS THAT A DAB!!??!!??
The Dab Police are on it, sir.
And he did it in the parappa sequel
Chop Chop Master onion dabs in the audience
1999 Colorized
Dab punch and break dance it
1:57 smoothest transition ever
She just spontaneously combusted...
When lammy forgot her guitar i felt so bad for her.
No for me it was when she used the chainsaw as a guitar. She even touched it. In normal logic she would have died already
15:54 when the ecstasy kicks in
Welcome to seizure ville, now punt these kids to sleep will ya
4:29 lammy: DONT SAY SHUT UP TO ME NEW “VOCALIST”
XDDDDDDDD
Glad to see I'm not the only one getting this in their recommended
