It was new to me too, it's the same customer that had the BMW with the electrical coolant pump which was new to me too, he must think that I don't know about cars when I say I haven't seen that before 🤣
When I first looked at it I stopped to do some research on what it was and how it works before going back to it. It saves time in the end. Thought I'd share what I found Incase it help someone. Thanks for watching
Very good Video, May icarsoft dignostic is not able to resolvd the d18e and d18d Error. Changing both Sensors eliminated only the d18d,but Not the other . In your Video you have the d18c Code . Maybe i will also Change the yellow Sensor
Hi Have you heard of vcds Ross tech and all analog copies for it .so you have the cable with obd2 adapter on the end .plug to your computer and work with it Do you know any alternatives for multi car scanning and changing parameters what vcds can do ? Thank you for your upload . We always hungry to get any help from video like yours. Cheers
I have used the vcds Ross tech at a garage I once worked at, and if up using other scan tools, some are better on some cars than others. If it is pc based that you want have you looked at Autoenginuity. It may be what you are looking for. Thanks for watching.
How much was the replacement sensor if you don't mind me asking? I've got the same issue and although I've not seen the sensor itself I believe that's what it is. Similar situation and my bonnet also never popped.
I have seen used sensors on eBay for around £50, the customer bought his own sensor for me to go round and fit. I'll ask him what he paid when I see him. Thanks for watching
@@mechanicmatt871 Thanks for that mate. Been looking for something on this for ages and this is the closest I've seen to a solution. Got yourself a new subscriber.
It's a strange one, at first when the customer told me about a bonnet message I thought it would just be the micro switch in the bonnet latch, I'd never heard of an active bonnet. Thanks for watching
Yes I managed to put the damaged green pedestrian sensor in the bumper back together and the message on the dash was out without even clearing the fault code. Thanks for watching
Looks like this, except it was green, you can just see it near the end of the video www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-A-CLASS-AMG-W176-CRASH-PEDESTRIAN-PRESSURE-SENSOR-A1769051600/184375222860?hash=item2aed9ea24c:g:9oMAAOSwDdNfGwsb
