When you can't decide between going fully electric or going with a traditional hybrid, the new TX 550h+ is the perfect PHEV compromise between both and this TX is a special member because of its 3.5L V6 and 2-electric motor combination. Agree. Should have tucked away the windshield wiper. Hopefully they will do that
why are some people whining about not having a "walk away auto-lock"? I am going to guess anyone who can afford to buy these vehicles have garage where owners like to leave it unlocked for the convinces. I am going to guess enough people complained about auto locker feature to get rid of all recent new vehicles. guessing "wood" and chrome trims slowly disappearing from Lexus vehicles because of cost. I am glad Lexus finally phased out the touch pad and joystick controller but I like to see more visual impact like exterior chrome pieces and wood/real-fake interior. finally new Lexus have good touch head unit with large screen and decently quick response. Lexus is definitely worth extra $$ over Toyota counter model for extra nice drive, noise control, and overall aesthetics.
Great review. God bless.
Is this the same size as the GLE? I am looking to upgrade (size wise) from my current GLC. I am happy with my Mercedes, but I think Lexus is a good alternative if I am going to switch.
The TX desperately needs the Palomino interior color from the NX & RX to brighten up the interior compared to the dark brown Peppercorn interior
No it needs a complete redesign right now. Otherwise it should be discontinued
Great job and I will buy this hybrid SUV 1 day.
7:55 impressive that it can fold flat even for being a hybrid! I’d camp.
Decent option, but Id go with a X7 instead. 3rd row in this is better though.
X7 can’t go 33mi on electric.
@@GaryKetchum808 that’s fine
@@jakes5530 not really, that’s a feature that once you’ve tried, you can’t live without. Daily driving and commuting without gas is a game changer. And having that gas for road trips is also a game changer.

@@jakes5530 they could’ve used the 6 speed yeah. But at least it’s an e-CVT so it’s ultra reliable rather than a belt CVT.
Lexus > Kia. I do wish Lexus would up its game again on interiors. This model and the Grand Highlander were rushed to market because Toyota was too slow to give a true 3-row CUV. Hopefully refreshes come soon with styling tweaks.
That raptor I want isn’t looking that crazy!
Having a deep understanding of the transmission and the engine in this car, I find it funny that people are picking beef with the amenities in this car. Toyota handed people the holy grail of reliable PHEV's and people are complaining about the lack of a sunroof. Like yeah that would be nice, but I also know this car is going to literally last 20 years. That V6 is the tits, and with assistance from electric motors? Come on!
Sat in one at the NY auto show and I gotta say the interior is cheaply made with inferior material quality. They look rugged and durable like Toyota interiors.
I asked about the roof at the NY Auto Show, the representative told me it was omitted to save weight.
They don’t have a sunroof oh they really screwed up with this vehicle
The micia blue color of this TX is fire but I prefer caviar black
How would you compare this to the 2025 MDX Aspec advance?
Easy. MDX wipes the tx inside and out
This is more comparable to MDX Type S, which is similar in terms of 0-60. Regular MDX engine is too slow in comparison.
@@blackwhirlwind1245 but it’s way faster than the tx350

I don't want wood or pano roof.. I'm happy. great car.
In 2024 and Toyota/Lexus doesn't have a dedicated remote start button on the key fob.....
So, I haven't used a button on my key fob in over 6 years. With proximity lock and unlock on all 4 door handles and the app on my phone where I can be anywhere to start it, why use the fob?
@@jeffs6090 The vehicle would start faster with the fob than with the app. You won't need to take out your phone to start the vehicle. The proximity sensors are nice.
@ichigouzumaki324 Why would I care how fast it starts? Why would that even matter? The whole point of remote start it to warm up the car in the winter before getting in. What difference does a few seconds make? Plus, with the app, I don't need to be near the car. The best part of using it is when I'm 20 minutes from leaving work, I turn on my car from inside the building far away (where no fob would ever work). By the time I get to it, it's all toasty with the steering wheel and seats warm too. Then, I see others walking out to their car and start it with the fob when they're 20 feet away and think, "what the hell was the point of that?"

Lexus lost its touch when it came to their interior. Team MDX!!!

All that gloss black plastic cheapens the dash so much. That interior is rough at that price. ... Look at the wrinkles on the steering wheel and the exposed defroster piping when you open the door. Lexus is going to have to do better

Just buy an Acura or GMC for this type of money. I don’t care. Lexus should include at least a standard sunroof. There was a time when most of all if not all Lexus cars came with a sunroof as standard. From ES, IS, GX, LX, GS, can go on and on. Lexus went from being a main German Luxury competitor to now second grade luxury. With the exception of the LX/LS. Everything under the LS/LX seems more like an Infiniti & Acura competitor. Even the Jeep Grand
Cherokee Summit Reserve is nicer than this…. And Jeep is not good to me. Interestingly enough Genesis is sorta taking that spot previously that Lexus had. Lexus still has great cars, but they just don’t scream ULTRA OR EXECUTIVE LUXURY anymore. They just feel like the better Toyotas. Kinda like the Avalon and Venza used to be. BMW, Mercedes, and Audi are all more expensive. But they have reason, sorta.
I totally disagree with your opinion. It's Lexus for me. 👍🙂

It's barely better than a Limited or Platinum Hybrid Max Grand Highlander and $25k more.

Suede and leather is very nice i love it but these Lexus interiors are becoming so lame. I agree wjrh you. Lack of wood is a huge step backwards. They used to have that LFA gauge cluster that was so cool and unique like how Bugatti is not switching to screens but now these are without a doubt the worst luxury interiors in the biz. This is coming from someone who has cross shopped Lexus'. You cant have lame looking interiors with painted plastics, the same touchscreen on every model, no massaging seats (bro hyundai does this 💀), and then expect to be considered a premium company. Lexus exteriors are nice but they are getting incredibly lazy with the interiors. How do you not even have the frosted pano roof from the Venza? Lexus is so disappointing this gen! Toyota had to recall all Grand Highlanders and Lexus TX for a very dangerous airbag issue. There’s a stop sale on all of them too so you can’t even buy these right now.
GMC is more of a luxury brand and has done a better job differentiating the all-new Acadia from the all-new redesigned Traverse than Lexus. There really is no difference between this TX and the Toyota Grand Highlander yet there’s a larger price difference between this and the Toyota compared to the *gm* twins. Makes me wonder how large Toyota profits are here.
Both the Acadia’s exterior and interior design are more upscale than this Lexus TX, blows this out of the water in luxury & technology and that’s high praise for GMC.
Soyfan, you always give Cadillac lots of crap for their new nomenclature which to be much simpler than Lexus naming strategy and nomenclature which you never complain about despite how confusing and overly complicated _it_ is. Lexus could certainly simplify the names and trim level structure.
