Insomniac with Attell was one of my favorite shows! Dave has partied almost everywhere and with VERY different types/cultures of peoples.
He brought Jim and Sam snacks and swag too. One of the greatest stand-ups and a true bro!

@@CVogel-jq9jk You’re joking, right? Joe is/has been doing stand-up comedy since 1988, literally 35 years. Like where tf do you get the audacity to say he isn’t a stand-up comedian? Like I hope that is satire honestly. And now not only is he one of the most important voices in comedy as far as the podcast, he now is one of the most important owners in the comedy venue business. Like I just dk we here tf you get the audacity to even say that for real.
And I wouldn’t say Bog Jay just verbatim rips off Attell, but I mean every comedian has people they look up to and base their style off of. Especially seeing that they grew up watching said comedians, so therefore they, well I wouldn’t say "rips off" those guys, but bases their style off of them maybe is a better way of putting it.
I mean, if you wanna get down to the nitty gritty, I mean even Dave has/had people he looked up to and has/had people whose style he liked and maybe not borrowed stuff from, but like based his sets/jokes off of.
Also, whether it be cadence, joke style, premises, etc., everyone attributes or uses the s,Al lest bit of someone else in their own stuff cause they all have pepper they look up to or have people who helped them along the way and just they grew accustomed to doing that style/cadence/whatever. I mean, to just say Big Jay blatantly rips off Dave, even though everyone in comedy technically "borrows" things from others (again, not jokes but styles, cadences, etc.) is kinda wack and ignorant.

Dave is the GOAT. I got into comedy through him back in my early teen years. It's so dope watching another 2 of my faves fawn over his greatness. I'd hurt a small child to hang out with Dan, Jay, and Dave.

Jesus. When you realize that A) Dave Attell is the old guy in the room, and B) I'm much closer to him in age.
Also, for anyone interested in the Philadelphia politician who killed himself on live TV, his name was Budd Dwyer. I only know because when I lived in Pennsylvania, a buddy of mine was directly related to him and told me about it. You can probably still find the video on UA-cam, though these days it may have been taken down. This is a very different UA-cam than it was when I found it a decade ago.
