Both products are Delta. Ferguson is a nationwide plumbing (A/C also) supply house. Home depot sells plenty of faucets that are made of brass, know what you are buying, walk into a Ferguson (show room), Pirch, Pacific Sales (best buy) or any strictly plumbing supply show room and you will pay far more than what a home depot or Lowes has to offer. Yeah I would avoid Glacier Bay, but Delta, Moen, Price Pfister have lifetime warranties to back up their products. It's all about your budget.
If the model number faucet you picked up at home depot matches what Ferguson has, it's the same faucet. Big box stores will carry some fixtures that you can only purchase through them. Kohler, for one, sells very inexpensive faucets and also very expensive faucets, some companies like Delta, will just have a different name brand name for their high end product, Britzo. Most people purchase fixtures due to the way the look, if it looks good, has a good warranty and a good price you can afford, don't worry about it. Warranty is the key, I see people buying crap from Amazon far to much, I would worry about ya l those fixtures...

I work at a Home Depot and a lot of pros buy supplies here, including faucets so I guess it depends on what their customers want to or are able to pay.

They go to home depot, because its more convenient, and when you order from Ferguson, they sometimes have it in stock or have to order it. If i was a customer, i would pay a little more, for something that will last longer. Not saying plastic wont last, but its definitely not the same as metal parts.

Thank goodness I saw this video. Purchased a delta faucet from big box store to replace my 43 yo one rusting under the base. Saw this video before even taking it out of the box. Did some research and this was a big box only model number. Took it back and got my money and ordered an identical one with a different model number thru this plumbing supply. Difference in price $75 at the big box store and $108 from plumbing supply. It has to be shipped to me, but I am willing to bet the little extra I paid will be well worth it. Very informative video, I was almost fooled into buying a cheap kock off.

Glad for the info. Cheaper usually costs more in the long run. Going for quality, thanks !
My dad was a plumber many years ago. He once told me to never buy plumbing supplies from a box store, to always buy from plumbing supply store

This is true. But those deltas from Home Depot still come with lifetime warranty when customer registers it.

This is well known in the industry. The big box store request the manufacturers to come up with the cheapest product. Hence all the plastic parts.

Why do the Delta and Moen website both say there are no differences aside from the drain assembly? Moen says: Moen's production line does not differentiate between wholesale and retail models. There is only one grade of brass, only one grade of cartridge and only one grade of warranty coverage - the best. While the numbering system for Moen's wholesale distributors and retail distributors may vary and subtle installation and trim differences may exist. These may include, but are not limited to, packaging, threaded or slip-fit style tub spouts and metallic or non-metallic drain assemblies. The quality and limited lifetime warranty against leaks, drips, materials, and workmanship remain the same for all of our products. Delta basically says the same thing.

good video, great advice and good insite on the pros and cons of quality vs cheap...but at the end of the day most homeowners are looking for the cheapest thing they can get installed no matter how much you try to educate them. Not to mention, they feel that they can't go wrong with a life time warranty given with most of the name brand fixtures from the big-box stores. And, as mentioned before -the cheaper products are just job security for the tradesmen.

Good video! Just curious what the price difference is between the two (percent-wise). Is the Fergie model for commercial use or just a professional version of the same model? Thanks 😅

Worked for HD 14 years started in 1995 just when they started to change. If a commercial grade item was selling and contractor loved it. They would have a cheap Chinese knock off made of it and tosse the ridge name on it. It was just a poor quality knock off. They went from their core believe of sell quality products and make it a one stop contractor store. Changed too a buy low sell high and if it doesn't turn drop it. Homeowners store..

Ferguson is the faucet of choice. The problem with today's products are plastic every where. Gone are the days of quality made items. If you can find them, buy them. They will cost you more but in the long run, they will hold up much better.
