- Showcase Mode has its positives and negatives. One of the positives is how accurate the mode can be at times. However there have been sometimes where WWE Games completely made up moments in Showcase Mode that don't actually exist.

Also in WM 2000, Vince actually hit Rock twice with the chair, in 2k14 he hit Rock once with the chair.
I have an example for your part two. WWE 13. Shawn Michaels vs. Mankind. The formation of DX. In real life, HBK's "insurance policy" was Rick Rude. He wasn't in the game, so Showcase mode made it Triple H instead.
There's also one showcase moment that didn't exist either, and that was during the Inferno match between The Undertaker and his demonic brother, Kane at Unforgiven 98. In the real match, Undertaker did toss Kane over the top rope as the flames rose higher, when Kane and the returning Vader were brawling on the outside, the Deadman was able to do the Topa-Suicida (iconic Suicide dive) over the top rope taking both of them out as the flames rose higher again. But in WWE 13 however, it was changed to have the Undertaker do the Hardys Swanton Bomb over the top rope and land on the outside. This was crazy bruh.
THQ and 2k were known for altering
history of stuff that nevered happen.

That’s what Takers dive was in the games for whatever reason. Also I feel they cut the Vader part out cause it would’ve added a layer to the mode wasn’t needed.

I always thought he was crap at game voicerovers while Cole actually sounds great in 2K15's showcase.

In 2k16, during Stone Cold vs Bret Hart and In Your House: Revenge of the Taker, Jim Neidhart and British Bulldog run out due to Owen Hart not being in the game. Neidhart takes Owen’s place instead.
you missed one. in wwe 13, rock vs x pac, hbk hits x pac with sweet chin music. in the actual match, hbk hit x pac with a chair.
HBK didn't punch the ref, he discus clotheslined him. I love 2k15's cutscenes.

I wish they didn't get the rights to Tyson in wwe 13, but did get the rights in wwe2k16. We could've seen next gen Mike Tyson model graphics.

I think the reason for the WM20 change is because they wanted to censor Brock flipping Austin off.
In 2K14, at the end of the WM28 Hell in a Cell match between Undertaker and Triple H, rather than just help him to the back, Taker and Shawn Michaels raise HHH's arms in celebration when they're outside.
There's the Shawn Michaels-Mankind, match in WWE 13's Attitude Era mode, which was the very first match of the mode. It didn't have Chyna and Rick Rude in the game.
There's actually another error in the WM2000 cutscene.
The Rock has his accurate attire during the match (gold logos) but in that cutscene, his attire has changed (white and blue logos instead).
they altered these matches, yet they couldn't be bothered to add undertaker vs big boss man in wwe 13 and leave the noose part out.

Also at WrestleMania 2000 in WWE 2K14 they show The Rock with the shorter pointy side burns wearing his Gold and Black trunks when playing the match but post match cut scene they show the 1998-1999 model with the longer side burns and Blue/White and Black Trunks with the more open knee pads I noticed this the first time when the game came out they put the wrong character attire/model for the cutscene
I love how must of the reason this stuff doesnt exist is due to wwe going all pg on us 😂

Man, probably doesn't count because they mention his name, but the Ken Shamrock's appearance on Austin v Bret (2k16 showcase) doesn't look like Shamrock AT ALL, first I thought it was because I played on PS3, but I checked the PS4 footage and yep, doesn't look like Shamrock.
To point out the ending of the No Way Out match with Austin and Triple H in the Showcase version they do the moment of him getting hit by a can in the head just like in the real match but with no can being thrown in the showcase version it looks like Austin had a late reaction to loosing to Triple H there.

I hate the praise that 2k16’s stone cold showcase mode gets because they call it one of the greatest ever, even though 70% of the matches can be found in ‘13’s Attitude Era mode and 2k14’s Road to Wrestlemania

4:57 pretty funny how after Stephanie almost got completely dropped by the Rock, after watching McMahon get hit with the Rock Bottom (the only one protecting her from receiving the same thing), she just stays there in the ring as if she’s completely safe even with nobody standing to defend her, like she’s forgot she was almost rock bottomed and he could put her back in his sights but she just chills there in the corner like a true NPC
Also 6:50 those hit sound effects were so weak and repetitive Jesus Christ you could tell 2007-2010 did a way better job back in the golden WWE game days

It's all cause WWE went PG and they got cheap. No alcohol (the WM20 change), no violence against women (even tho we know It's a show, don't hit women irl lol), no blood (no barbed wire). And them just not wanting to pay Tyson or Bischoff for their likeness.
