This is basically my wafter rig, no need for that much shrink tube, can trap the hair opposite the point on shank with 0.5mm silicone, also just use a smaller loop and anti tangle sleeve other end. Will save you a fortune on shrink.
Would you use this rig with balanced or bottom baits i.e hook flat on bottom. In this instance would you remove the shot or does it still help with hooking properties?
Yep, my rig for wafters is the same as this, except I trap the hair opposite the point with some small silicone. No need to use all that shrink tube. Just for kicker is fine. I use a small bit of putty instead of the shot Also I use a curve shank
Hi, I’m 66, so please go gentle, been try ing for ages to tie this grinner knot, but all on you tube shows it being connected to something, how do I tie it with just the loop? This guy was just to fast for me. Thanks in advance

Anti-tangle sleeves are big con in themselves, just make a bigger loop around 2-3 inches and it acts in the same way.
Been tying a similar rig for years now. Saw something similar in a magazine with the shrink tubing and messed about with it for ages.
Wow, this stuff is high tech. The method I use for my koi carp videos is just the low fi running rig. Cool video
Good tip, nice one Elliot 🎣🐟
I presume that’s a Baitworx 12mm pop up?
The Mainline 12mm pop ups will only just hold up a size 8 !

Hey buddy. Very easy knot if you search grinner knot tutorial they're are lots on here :) good luck!
actually one of the best rigs ever and so much underrated … 🖖🏼
And as soon as you catch one fish on that hook, youll have to scrap the whole rig as the point will turn over. Spinner rig much more economical.
Best rig
Is that little Easton ?
Sure is
@@darrenstevens3798 thanks, I used to fish this alot in the 90s and early 2000s.
