So this is a project that I started in late November and was gonna finish for María’s bday in December, but I lost inspiration so I didn't get around to finish it til now. Oops.
I don’t know why but I have a really hard time vidding these two, so I’m sorry if the video is a total mess… Anyways I adore serenate so much and I’m forever bitter that they weren’t endgame. Nate clearly was the right guy for Serena. He loved her so much and never judged her like Dan did. He was always there for her even when he was mad at her and she could always be herself around him. And that kiss in the first ep of s2 is probably one of my all time fave kisses. SO MUCH CHEMISTRY. Anyways I’ll stop rambling now bc I could go on forever otherwise haha.
María, my dear, this is for you. I know you’ve been wanting me to vid these two forever so I thought it was about time I did. You’re such a sweet person and you truly deserve the world. I just wish I could come and take you away from that country you live in, ugh. Anyways, I hope you like this and that it’s not too much of a mess. Love you.

You know what's really beautiful about this edit is hearing Blair's voice in the background, speaking about their love for each other, when Nate was her own first love. One thing gossip girl taught us is that love is never perfect, even though how beautiful they were together, but togetherness just wasn't for them.
Exactly Blair and Nate were always gonna love each other but realized they weren’t meant to be, and even though it was hard for Blair, she realized Nate always loved Serena more. 🥺

This video is what every derena shipper needs to see! Nate loves Serena for who she was and never really gave up on her, he always loved her and forgave her. They all say Serena’s didn’t really love Nate... well yk what.. dan didn’t really love Serena after he developed feelings for Blair (I ship chair). Dan just went to Serena when he realized he couldn’t have Blair. Serena will later realize that she doesn’t love dan anymore, that they are different, and she will move on to Nate. Serena is like her mom, so a divorce from dan would not be unexpected!
