- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been named NFC Player of the Month for his play throughout September. Hurts has notched 1083 total yards: 916 passing yards and 167 rushing yards, earning him an average passer rating of 106.5. With these numbers, Hurts ranks first in the NFC and top 5 among all NFL QBs in each category.

I love how in the very last clip AJ Brown gets clipped hard and the defender is still shaken up, whereas AJ pops right back up and walks off with his teammates. An absolute unit. 🦅

I mean it's kind of the nature of football to take your foot off the gas. You're not going to do anything exotic or crazy. Even if its not intentional if you're up by 3 scores and its 3rd and long You're probably content to just check down. It's kind of just a conservative mindset all around when there's no sense of desperation.

Hard work and a positive attitude can do wonders for you. Jalen has put in the work and the locker room clearly respects the kid and has rallied around him. The results speak for themselves. I know it’s only been 3 games but I put Jalen’s 3 game start to the season up there with any other 3 game start any Eagles QB has ever had.
He doesn’t throw anything he isn’t sure of. Amazing decision making combined with excellent accuracy. When he decides he can throw he knows he’ll hit his mark. He doesn’t need to make insane throws or runs every play. He needs to operate an excellent offensive system and scheme and he does it to perfection. When the scheme falls apart he is talented enough to improvise and utilize his natural abilities but what makes him so good is his ability to operate WITHIN the offense. Runs it with as much poise as a Brady and the ability to extend when things fall apart like a Mahomes/Allen/LJ8. Mad respect from a Ravens fan Mr. Hurts.

This is why I commented on his first start against the cardinals video that he was gonna be the eagles version of Russell Wilson . Anyone that watched the Seahawks during Russ early years knew what I was talking about . The hawks had a dominant def along with run game for Russ to gradually improve his passing through the years . same with hurts, that’s why howie knew he couldn’t make the same mistake not taking him when he had the chance just like how he regretted passing on Russ in the draft. People wanna be right so bad about hurts they don’t wanna admit hurts being good instead of wanting what’s best for the eagles that they can’t wait till hurts lose a game just so they can dump on him . Be patience eagles fans we got a good one

Compared to last year, Hurts cleaned up his foot and now really stepping into his throws and letting them go with more zip. Also he is targeting the centre of the field a whole lot more. Devonta and AJ are giving him such a large catch radius to throw at, and he is doing it well and they are just toasting opposing corners making plays.

The way athletes maintain their body's and health, along with film study, etc, there's no reason to risk injury. This isn't college football, after all.

The thing is I see some hurts hate because he isn’t playing “top tier teams”. Y’all forget that he struggled making these throws against even bad defenses last season. His mechanics have improved and he now can read defenses against the lower ranked guys, that is serious improvement.

Born and raised an still living in Philadelphia I've been a die hard EAGLE'S FAN ever since I was 11 and started playing elementary football , I cheered for them through the High's & low's I never jump off the ban wagon and never will untill I'm 6ft under . What I love is you can see the differences in his placement tight window throws and decision making from years past. I haven't watched every second of every game but from what I saw he has no interceptions that are his fault.

The pick six int in the Jaguars game was probably his fault - a defender was able to get in front of the intended receiver and tip the ball that then went into the hands of another defender. If the throw is made a bit earlier the defender that tipped the ball might not have been in position to do so.

Normally people would compare Hurts to Russell Wilson. However, I actually think STEVE YOUNG may even be a better comparison. Almost exactly same height and abilities. Steve was a lefty thou.
Hurts kept saying the team was almost there and adding AJ brown and some key players on the defense is exactly what the eagles needed to improve. Football is the only sport where coaching and business can be the reason a players talent isn't shown on the field I don't think a player can be great in college and a bust in the NFL is that teams don't work around what made the player great in the first place. It's really sad many dreams end before they can actually be live. In life and on the football field. It's really like adopting a dog and wanting it to do what cats do. I love the entertainment of the NFL but it's really a lot that goes into the development of players

This is completely off base and really has not correlation to Jalen Hurts or anything, one thing I really want implemented in madden is a sound similar to the sound heard when receivers catch the ball. It’s so satisfying to see Jalen Hurts throw a dot and then the sound of the ball being caught.
