- The Crescent Park Carousel is the best amusement ride in the state of Rhode Island. And it has a case as the world's best carousel. Located in Riverside (Providence), this ride was once part of Crescent Park. After the park closed in the 1970s, the carousel was saved and has continued to operate. This ride is a gem between the hand-carved horses and melodious band organ. And most importantly, you can still reach for the brass ring!
Born and raised in providence, live in Arizona now. I’d used to go to crescent park every weekend almost during spring and summer as a kid. This video took me way back. Thank you.
You're welcome.
I could watch this all day
Such a classic.
The fact that it still has a working organ makes me so happy. A lot of carousels are losing their iconic music and it’s definitely a shame
Glad they have kept this running!
So glad to see this back operating. They've invested a lot in order to assure its future. Glad the Brass Ring is still there too!!!
Me too.
it’s wonderful how much carousel content you’ve been uploading! thank you!! I really appreciate it and I have been using it for some of my other videos!
No a problem!
It's so sad to think that out of the 40 or so carousels that Charles ID Looff built, there are about only 6 large permanent park carousels left currently operating!!! 😢
Key memory unlocked
Nice!
Shockwave at Six Flags Over Texas has such strong airtime, like one time it was so strong that my legs were sore for like 15 minutes.
Those drops are no joke.
While you're in RI, make sure to check out Slater Park's Looff Carousel too!
I basically live in Rhode Island, so that's not far from me.
@@CanobieCoasterWould you mind doing a video on Rocky Point?
one of the rolls is 6838 that was playing
Thanks for giving the name.

The tunes sound familiar.
Does it still have its organ?
yes. it is working good beside the bass/cymbal side
Sure does.
