[WHAT A TRUCK! 😍🚒] WEST METRO FIRE | HEAVY RESCUE 10 & MEDIC 10 responding (Metro Denver)

- Seen here is West Metro Fire Protection District Heavy Rescue 10 (R10) and Medic 10 (M10) responding out of its quarters at fire station 10 in Lakewood, Colorado - just 8 miles southwest of Downtown Denver. Both of the responses were traffic accidents, according to PulsePoint.
Station 10 has an eventful history in regard to its fleet. A few years ago an Engine, a Tower, the Rescue, the Medic, some special units and parts of the command level were based at 3535 South Kipling Street. Today it's just Rescue 10 and Medic 10. Rescue 10 is a very new multi-functional firefighting unit, which can handle a large variety of calls. It also carries 500 gallons of water. R10 goes out for any kind of call in it's district and for heavy rescue calls in the whole West Metro Fire Protection District. In my opinion this is one of the nicest rigs in Metro Denver Area!

Does the Rescue have a kitchen sink also? Lol........ That truck is damn sexy!!!!!!
Sweet looking Pierce tactical. I have wondered what the Rumbler sounds like from inside the ambulance. Do your ambulance crews wear David/Clarks and if they do, do the headsets deaden the noise? What about the sound vibrations from the Rumbler? I wish I have these items back in the day.
Cool showcase on HR10
Thanks for watching! :)
@@Firescue112 you need to do the same as Charlotte Fire Department. See If you can get a POV on their Alerting System and them responding
what a truck, indeed! that heavy rescue is really cool! love the medic too, cool rear lighting
Yes! Personally I am a big fan of those big rescue trucks, there's really nothing comparable :)
Great clips and a gorgeous beast of a truck ;) The flash patterns on the medic are also very interesting haha
Thanks Timur! Yes, I haven't seen more of these patterns on my trip, but I think they're pretty common in states like Texas... I personally really like these pattern, especially in dusk (like in the 2nd video) they're awesome :D
That’s not a heavy rescue, that’s a heavy fire truck!
Indeed! This monster can handle it all 😎💪🏻
TRUCK??

Does this [Tactical] Heavy Rescue have a specialty, like USAR, HazMat, accident extractions, or dive rescue or is it a catch-all? Asking for a friend...
@@dpm-jt8rj I think it can handle every type of call. Of course WMFR also has some other units like an USAR-Taskforce for example.

This is just a curiosity question but I love the fire service. I spent three decades on the job, doing one thing or another. Do the departments in your area have an auto-mutual aid dispatch program similar to MABAS in and around Lake County, Illinois or even Maricopa County, Arizona? The closest engine, ladder, ambulance, ALS or BLS (et cetera), responds regardless of location and department name? The basic response plans are as easy or complex as one wants to make them. Again, asking for a friend...
Wow, awesome video! That Heavy Rescue is an absolute beast of a truck!
Thank you! Absolutely, I love it! :D
Beautiful truck! I think Velocitys and Impels are great rescues! We just placed one into service this summer and its a PUC, looks just like this one! Great video as always!
Thank you! Yes, I'm a big fan of these modern looking apparatus! In my opinion, the Arrow XT or models from other manufacturers (especially E-One 😆) should get updates like a facelift. They look exactly like they did 15 years ago - it sometime happens, that a 20 year old truck is replaced by a "new" one, which is looking exactly the same. The Velocity (and Impel) as well as the Rosenbauer Commander are the most modern looking trucks in America in my opinion.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! 😊
So R10 can handle fires and tech rescues?
Yep, you're right!

Awesome video!! That truck is just... stunning! Love the lights on it.
Thank you man! Yes, that's a monster!
Classe ! Tu utilise quel caméra ?
Pompiers Lyon Emergency Merci beaucoup! J‘utilise une Sony FDR AX53.
Some cool lights on that 1st ambo.
I like the 2nd ambo better. Just kidding, they're exactly the same :D
Cool rig!!! 👍
Wow awesome heavy rescue. I have never understood why more departments don’t put water tanks on heavy rescues. Great job man!
Thank you, Parker! Yeah, I talked to a FF from Denver Rescue 1 who doesn't really liked this kind of Rescue. He's more strict like Rescue Trucks should just do Rescue Stuff and so on. Actually I think West Metro Fire saved money by replacing an Engine and a Rescue with this Beast, maybe this FF was worried because it might happen, that they replace more and more units with just a few multi-functional trucks. But who knows... I kinda like this truck! :D
@@Firescue112 Denver has always been strictly heavy rescue without a pump or anything. West Metro and Arvada did PUC Rescues because they serve as an Engine/Truck/Rescue all at once. West Metro uses their heavy rescue on all heavy rescue calls where as Arvada used theirs like any other engine. Denver has so many stations every few blocks that having a pump would be pointless. Both Rescue 1 and Rescue 2 from denver are housed with Engine companies. Denver operates like any big city where if you specialize in rescues, you can be assigned to a rescue and forget about engine work.
@@ColoradosBravestFire Exactly, that makes sense :)
Great truck!
AWESOME VID!!!!!! I love that truck! I saw it
Thank you! Yes, that is also my opinion about this rig!
Can you come back to Littleton?
@@ColoradoFireBuff Unfortunately I live in Germany and I'm pretty busy right now... But I have some more videos from Colorado (even from Littleton!) in stock and I'll definitely come back to Metro Denver some time :)
Good, use of multi- role unit, not every department can afford a dedicated rescue!!
😎👍
That was fucking awesome!
Agreed! :D
