  • In this video Cliff & myself revisit the Abandoned town of Greenville (aka Nay Aug Station). In part one, we discovered several areas with buildings, wells and foundations. While exploring, we noticed some interesting things on the other side of the river. So we vowed to return to explore the other side. Just as we thought, we did find more ruins and cool finds. So join us as we finish exploring the Abandoned town of Greenville, Pa. Enjoy

    Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations can be dangerous. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

    Thanks for another awesome video 😁 actually two 😀 'cause I watched both parts 👍 The scenery is gorgeous 😍 and so many remnants of things that used to be there. The old power house, that old pipe and the wells. What an amazing set of videos. The bricks may be from the buildings or they may well be from the streets that were once there. I imagine if you dug down along the possible road you were walking on you would hit either cobblestones or bricks as a LOT of streets were paved with them before they used concrete or asphalt. Every spring in Scranton you can see the layers on some of the roadways by looking into some of the potholes. Sometimes you'll see a brick layer staring back at you. Matter of fact the one side street in West Scranton on the right hand side of Luzerne Street a block behind Walgreen's was paved with cobblestones for half of the hill there till just a handful of years ago.

    • @JPVideos81
      @JPVideos81  5 років тому

      There's a street in scranton too, not too far from dunmore thats lined with all bricks.

    That town would have had it's own brick company. each brick maker or company had their own signature of bricks so other brick makers knew who made them. many of the businesses & homes of the rich people in town would have been made of bricks. basements 6 ft to 12 ft was so they had root cellars for storing food & meat. however i'm sure you all know this. that town would have had all kinds of business to make most of what they needed themselves. they likely even had drug stores, theater as well as many other things for entertainment too.

    Hi Jay, some lovely shots of the water coming through the rocks, life must have been hard back in the days that it was a thriving area. That enclosed area (your house) was really built well as those walls look like they would last at least another 50 years if not more. A very pretty area, it would be awesome to wake up every morning to hear the sound of the river and to look out of a window to see the beautiful woodland. JP. Thanks for your reply. There's probably the best lock from the Erie canal, a log home found inside another home, a WWII POW camp, Shenango Indian sites on the river, old coal mining towns, massive strip mining operations, an impressive dam, nice waterfalls, the avenue of 444 flags, the only free golf course in America(beautifully maintained by The Penn State Shenango Valley Golf Club, the Johnston Tavern, with a cellar hideaway used for the underground railroad, many abandonded steel mills (we're right in th middle of the rust belt), and more. Unfortunately, at 57, I'm disabled due to damage to my cervical spine. Can go short distances with a walker, but then need a wheelchair. I could guide you to these places, but not access most. If you could ever get out this way, I would be enthralled to assist you. And, the greatest amusement park in the world(Cedar Point) is just 3 hrs west of here. If you love rollercoasters. It freaked me out how long that frying pan swayed after you hung it up. 😂😂

    yes back in the day people sure did build stuff to last a long time with good maintenance measures - but when left alone it still takes years for the real decay to set in and be unsafe or questionable // so if it was like 100 years plus then it will be another 100 years until the earth reclaims it back // great video

    You have some great pics as usual !! What a beautiful area. Not to get off topic but have you ever heard of concrete city in Nanticoke, PA ?? It's was apparently built by the DL&W railroad's coal division in 1911/ 1913 as company housing. there's suppose to be 20 two-story concrete poured rectangular double houses that surrounded a park. Abandoned in 1924. It's said to be haunted as well and it's " buildings that dynamite couldn't bring down.

    The place with the 2 holes close together very well could have been either the school or the church. Those would have been Men's and women's outhouses. Also remember this town was abandoned in the sixties when indoor plumbing was still a rarity for rural areas .

    A dark entity moves to the left of the screen under the tree limbs when you are skipping rocks at 13:35-38 right before Cliff's head comes into view just behind it. A brown bi pedal entity is standing at the far end of the fallen tree at 17:01

    The walls in the stone house were probably higher, but you were walking around on the caved in roof which is now part of the ground over the years. What is it 60 yrs.

    OMG freaky/scary all the holes...see the brick walls at 22:12...strange considering all the stone walls around...built later? part of town? or something different?
