I’ve been 11 years sober the pain of acute pancreatitis stopped me the dedicated doctors and nurses also immensely helped me too greetings from Scotland 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have never abused or being addicted to alcohol but have seen friends die and others lose everything, ex British Forces and BBC employee tge drinking culture in both organisations is massive there are so many functioning alcoholics and everything revolves round alcohol.
I missed out on many jobs as I would not be part of the “Drinking crew” but no regrets. People get over the first month free of alcohol and you will be fine and your life will improve massively. Your kids your marriage your health. Go Sober.
Glad to hear alot of folks knew enough to get help. My former spouse did not. Made my life a living hell. She died at 55 in 2017.
My mother’s friend passed away from alcohol a few years ago.

My three brothers died because of that alcohol..that's poison
My sister died cause of that poison I hate alcohol
My condolences. I stopped drinking two weeks ago as I live with a differently wired brain. Three folks I knew died of alcohol abuse, which was a shock.
@@pauljordan4452 my sister used to stop for a while and we could see it was difficult for her due to her anxciety we supported her as best as we could but she would suddenly shut herself off in her flat and not ansewer her phone or my text messages that’s when we know she was on it again she stopped us going to see her in hospital twice this year we couldn’t bear to see her detoxing but where their with hugs when she came round in august she just carried on till her liver stopped we are heartbroken I will never get over it now we have to have an inquest to make sure she had the proper medical care.
I heard that many suicides happen while the person is under the influence. I guess you’d have to be to
be brave enough to do it. Scary

But ty. Alcohol Kathy is too powerful for me right now.. I've actually been main caregiver for 2 people in my family died from drinking.. I'm totally messed up. Ty for you makes ng this but I honestly keep too far gone.i don't have the energy or trust I could do better.
