Lovely bike. Just waiting on delivery of an 85 K100rs from Holland. It's unaffordable to bring bikes into Ireland from the UK since Brexit. I think I have watched every K100 video on UA-cam at this stage. Can't wait to get out on my 'new' steed. Thanks for sharing.
yes had an Rt 1986 for 15 years. Easy self maintenance, a little bitheavy riding and most annoying are hot knees when 30 degrees weather. Still fine bike and reliable.
Was not impressed with the mercedes Benz driver (6:45). Reversing out of a drive, onto road (with no hazards lights), failure to acknowledge that you'd waited for him, then lack of indicator for R.H. turn. Sorry, I forgot, Merc driver own the road.
According to the manual, the brake fluid should be changed every 15000 km, or yearly(!). I'm sure people don't do that and that is one reason why the abs won't work. The valves in the abs "cube" starts to stick because of the rust caused by the water in the brake fluid. An other reason could be the electronic fail which cannot be avoided. I just bought a bike like that with 35000 km, my first todo-thing is to make all the fluids changed including brake fluid. Mine has a functional abs yet.

I have the RT, the best bike I think I have owned. Just enough work needs doing to keep it going but perfectly fine for everyday life.
I just picked up an 86 RT. Love it so far.

Great video. Enjoyed. I would like to know what are the RPMs in the 5th at 100 km/h. Thanks mate.
