Most entertainers of her generation supported our troops, God I was born 50 years to late! Just think she was actually on the front lines working as a nurse, taking care of our boys.❤️
A great story, but she wasn't "officially" awarded a Green Beret. Like a Kentucky Colonel, it was an honorary title. She couldn't have done the work of an authentic GB. However, she was certainly good for morale, which was her primary duty.
How could you not love Martha?
GOD BLESS COLONEL MAGGIE!
“Didn’t know it hit me that hard” - yeah, I felt that
- reminds me of my grandad, when I poked questions about his WW2 experiences. RIP
amazing lady, my father spoke highly her, he was MAC V SOG
She was a dame in the true sense of the word.
She was one fantastic woman.
One of the real, good people.

She actually WASN'T a nurse. She was a CNA and she was NEVER in the Army
A CNA is still nursing people and I am an RN and those CNAs
