As long as you keep being honest and not just promoting stuff to make money (like others do), I see no problem in you using affiliate. For example, now I'm going to buy this bag and I'd like to retribute your effort into putting time for it by using your code, but you don't seem to have one. So get it, It will bring you some money and help you keep on with the channel and more people will benefit. I explain more below in case you feel like reading. ______________________________________________________________ LONG: I've been researching about this bag for the past week, I literally watched some 50 videos about bags, yours were the most honest (sometimes rough hahaha). I'm an expat, I move every few years and I hate accumulating shit. So whenever I need to buy something I do a lot of research until I find someone honest enough to talk about the problems. So I can weight in and consider. I'm going with this back because I like the big main pocket and I understand the compromises. As I said, I honestly suggest you use some affiliate/promos (in this case you can easily get on their website) for the bags you APPROVE and recommend (I saw some you don't even post the link to buy - that's awesome). You saved me from almost making a big mistake and getting the Nomatic for example. So I would easily use a code now so the company gives you a commission that for me as a customer is very valuable: I have this honest guy on youtube who's a cyclist and test bags for months a post reviews on youtube. If I ever need or know someone that needs to buy a bag from now onwards, the first thing I'd do would be coming here and seeing if you have a review about. So get some affiliate man ,get some extra $ coming in at least as "symbol" reward for the work. Cheers, all the best,
I appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad I was able to help you make a purchase. I'm afraid I'm a bit too honest for any major brand to assist me in any way. I honestly prefer it that way. I don't really do this as a source of income, this is more of a hobby. As I've been growing a bit, I'm getting more and more emails from junk-brands trying to send me bags to "review". Based on what they say in their emails I know for a fact that they haven't watched a minute of my content, and haven't a clue what kind of bags I use. I figured they just check my channel metrics, and spit out a template email if meet whatever criteria they're scrubbing for. I can see how some UA-camrs can get lured into becoming presenters vs actual reviewers. But I'm good where I am. Thanks for watching.
Hi Rafael, Thank you for your purchase. We hope that the bag met your expectations! :) Hat's off to HumorousMaximus for his honest take on our PRIMA SYSTEM PACK.
Great review. I was considering this bag now I’m sold. Where did you get that Tech Pouch? Can’t find it at Peaksesign and I want one of those too. It’s a killer pouch.
Thanks for the video. Do you find that having the laptop compartment on the back like that pushes the back father away from your back and carries the weight strangely? My wife has a camera bag set up like that and she wasn’t in love with it
I don’t recall that being an issue for me. Most packs have a tendency to feel stiff with a laptop pressed up against your back. It’ll bother some more than others.
Hey dude, I recently purchased this bag but I might return it because it seems over engineered for me. A big issue I'm having is that I don't like how the shoulder adjustment straps that I hold down the shoulder straps. I feel like there's no need for them at all. This ever bother you?
Hi, first of all thanks for the reviews. your reviews are the most honest and thorough I've seen so far. From what I saw (all of your videos and some internet\web search) I think the Prima's one fits me the best but it has a small downside, its not waterproof. I need a backpack that can hold exactly the things that you described (I bike to work and need to change clothes and have my laptop gear) in this video but I need it to withstand lots of rain since I live in a very rainy area. any suggestions, have you tested the Osprey bags?
Thanks! Okay so it’s important to distinguish waterproof (can submerge in water) and water resistant (can handle some rain). The only bag I’ve had that withstood some serious rain without taking on moisture was the Peleton Ashpalt from Life Behind Bars. But full disclosure, my water testing is not really consistent. If it rains when I ride I’ll count it, but it really varies. Most bags I’ve had take on moisture, where the outer shell absorbs some water, therefore the internals feel very humid. Have not tried Osprey, the look of their bags don’t really do it for me.
It’s just where I keep my gum, so it serves as a good test for water repellency. If it effects that pocket then it would effect the rest of the pack. Same materials and build.
Did you find the bag was too heavy on its own? Did you find the shoulder straps broke in at all? l ordered on but might return it due to the concerns above.
What are your thoughts on this as a travel bag? The site states it can do 30L. I am tempted, 30L is good travel capacity, the water resistant feature would be handy, and with the roll top nature once you unload everything at the hotel it becomes a day bag. Think this could hack it?
I'm very interested in the LBB Peloton Asphalt and really appreciate the review you did on it. Its closest competition for me is the Prima system backpack. Given build quality, expandability, ease of use and general value. Do you have a preference now since your past reviews?
I used it up until my review after that I moved onto another bag. I eventually sold it, not for anything bad but there was just an opportunity and I took it. I had no major issues with the pack.
Hi, real nice review! Especially since it's long term, which is always more insightful IMO. I have a question tho. If you don't use the verge case, the side zipper is a great way to access the main compartment. However, is there some way to avoid pickpockets to use misuse this easy accessibility, at times when I feel I need to secure it? Thanks and keep it up!
Hello... I love your bag reviews I have watched nearly all of them, and I was wondering where you stand with messenger bags? Can't wait to,see the long term review of the alchemy equipment bag.
I’m not the biggest fan of the messenger form factor. I think they’re designed to hold big volumes without much organization. I haven’t excluded them completely though. I’ve been close to buying the Echelon Messenger from Life Behind Bars. I’m a huge fan of their stuff. Thanks for watching!
Whats your best recommendation for a tech back pack? I was sold on the nomatic backpack till I saw your video. I want a backpack that can carry 1, 13 inch computer and two 17 inch portable monitors. Of course the pack would also need organization for cords charger note pad etc? I can't seem to find a single back pack that is made to carry more than just 1 laptop.
To be honest, I’d just lean on the bags that have high organization scores. Like the Ogio Renegade or something. You have some very specific needs. Take a few mins and check out what I’ve used, maybe something will click for you.
I join all the compliments and the detailed review. I just sometimes find weird the stuffs you pack, like this bike locker in the water compartment ? Or working pants and shirt instead of gym clothes and the fully mechanical keyboard for a laptop. Was it only a way to show the capacity? Because otherwise it feels very weird. Also, why not using the sleeve and putting a charger ( rather than a portable small power bank )in the main access pocket ? It seems to me hard to believe that you would need it quickly. From the review it’s clear you know a lot, but when I see this packing layout I start wondering about the utility of carting such stuffs.
I ride my bike to work, so everything I carry revolves around that. I’m not going to pack gym clothes and sweat all over my work clothes during my bike commute. My keyboard comes with me on weekends, so it goes in the pack. I already talked about why I don’t use the sleeve, feel free to give it another listen. Thanks for watching.
Great vid, honest review which is cool. Have you ever considered designing your own backpack? Your load out is similar to mine and I'm sure a lot of people (besides the nail clippers lol)
Hi, Can you confirm if the laptop sleeve a tthe back will fit a 17.3" laptop? really interested to get this bag but the size of the laptop sleeze is key for me as i'll be using it as my day to day office/ work travel use. Thanks in advance.
Thank you for the long term review. All t cool bags are expensive, nag reviews are rare as it is, and long term reviews are even rarer. When you were describing what you were expecting out of “water repellant”, I’m feeling like you’re expecting it to be waterproof. Water repellant is exactly that, they are resistant to water up to a point. Getting caught in medium rain for 15 minutes would wet out the fabric I would think.
Water resistance vs waterproof is a distinction I’m VERY aware of. No confusion here. Boundary is actually using the term “storm proof” now, what does it mean, and how is that different than “water resistant/repellent, weatherproof? Who the heck knows, it’s even more marketing jargon. 15-20 mins in medium rain was endured by the Peloton. Fabric was not wet, no moisture inside either. That bag is also labeled as weatherproof. I have so many questions...
Great review! i was on the fence of adding this since I already have an order in for the errant pack. You mentioned in it your review, are you also a backer?
Thanks! I did back the Errant. I picked up the XPAC Grey, I think those are supposed to start shipping out next week. Probably won’t see it until after new year though.
Hi idk if you’re still gonna respond a little later but I recently have been watching you and I love your reviews as they are truly honest and come from a real consumers point of view. I don’t know whether to choose the Pelotan Asphalt or the Prima backpack. I’m a student so I will need to carry books as well as my laptop and other materials. Which do you recommend?
They’re both pretty similar actually, size wise. Peloton has a little more organization but it’s a louder bag, with all the Velcro. Both high quality materials and good build. Peloton can expand to 40L I believe, and has a bunch of external straps to attach even more stuff on the outside.
@@HumorousMaximus OK, their site lists dimension, but not internal as far as I can tell. My impression is the bag (takes more then the Errant) but it's deceptive in its capacity moreover the main compartment curves and as you pack it becomes increasingly difficult to close the top.
@@HumorousMaximus damn dude that axiom video really sold me on the xpac material but I'm thinking the prima's features and style are more of what I'm needing. Alright dude I put a pre-order for the prima xpac in multi cam 😍. Thanks again dude I'll keep checking in to support the channel!

How funny that you're using a peak design bag instead of the boundary portfolio. I bought the prima, but using it is just a pain. It's not very well organized and the straps sit at a bad angle on my shoulders. It's just sitting in a closet.
I just realized I edited out my organization score, my mistake. Scores are as follows:
Organization - 7, Materials 7, Build Quality 8
