Odd to not have a cover of some kind over the greasy end of the lift, no? I've never owned a chair that didn't come with one.
And for the price, I'd expect not only heat, but massage, too.

Yeahh-ish, I’ve had some without but usually they have a little plasticy cover you’re right. Im just not big on the lift assembly in general for what this chair is. I think the value of the purchase would be majorly improved with a higher quality assembly out of the box.

@@EightSixMatt -- I replaced mine straight out of the box with one for "heavier and taller" people because I'm not tall, lol. Jokes aside, I had to raise one of my desks to install a sliding drawer for a MIDI controller to go beneath it, so I needed on with a longer throw. The heavy thing was just a bonus. It's actually intended for an architect's chair.

Can you include the Amazon link for the tilt mechanism that you bought for replacement?

How stable is something like this fully reclined?

That whole lift assembly isn't the greatest, but I did write them a letter stating how I felt about it in more detail. It does have a sense of "less than" being more on the barebones side of a generic lift assembly. It's not bad but it felt like the only part of the chair that was less than what I would anticipate someone expecting.
