These Lincolns are a "lost masterpiece." The sculptured styling was over the top a bit with the 1958, but they refined the look with the 59 and the result was a stunning masterpiece of design. They were huge cars but these Continentals were the ultimate of Detroit iron back in those days. The Cadillac could not not even come close to lines of this luxury liner! Thank you for sharing this treasure.
A beautiful classy car!! I'm in love with your black Lincoln

BREATH-TAKINGLY STUNNING!!! My Grandmother had one when I was a kid (I''m 50 now)...and it was in a triple-metallic, 24 karat gold, 4 door sedan.....and I remember being NUTS about it when I was 4 or 5! One of my BIGGEST dreams to own one before I die.....and if the one I buy isn't restored, I would have it restored, to PERFECTION. This car is a literal MASTERPIECE when compared to the HIDEOUSLY GARISH '59 Cadillacs, PERIODf! Congrats!
I love those Lincolns! Thanks for sharing your beautiful Lincoln! I've been in love with Lincolns since I was about 5, my Dad had a '49 Cosmopolitan, and he would set me on his lap and let me think I was driving! it had the optional power windows (hydraulic) and a 4 way power seat!
I love the power vent windows on both the lincolns and caddys of the late 50s, completely unnecessary but so deliciously over the top, as America was truly at the top of its game...
Excessive in an age of excess! Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! One of these (2dr, 4dr, convertible, I don't care) is on my bucket list. I'm going to need an extra long garage!!! Thanks for sharing your BEAUTIFUL Continental!
I've seen guys custom these with 57 mercury Turnpike Cruiser skirts, they were about 5 ft long, which is considerably bigger than what's on this Lincoln and top it off with the Continental kit it,really gives length to this car trim out in chrome around the edge of the skirts.
Wher are the two fiberglass covers that cover the front portion of the roof mechanism - you never show them. They are painted body color and a Continental is not complete without them !
There were still a few of them around when I was a little kid in the early 60s. I thought they were beautiful...☺

I still have my long low 1964 Lincoln convertible That I purchased my senior year in highschool in 1973. It was spendy. Cost me 475 bucks!

Paid $250.00 for a '59 convertible in running condition in '73.....my senior year ride !
What may not have been appreciated then is fully appreciated now!

I miss my 1961 lincoln convertible cruiser from san diego to san clamenty
OK, I need one of those. Then I'll need a fedora, a coat and tie, and a cigar!
The Mark IV lettering is missing from the sides of the front fenders :(
Dream machine, even with the top down there's still room to put stuff in the trunk
Biggest unibody car ever made, far as i know, Couple of good books on this series describes fords efforts out big Caddy.
I can't believe you sprayed Armor-All on those beautiful leather seats! :*(
Love this car! Would also like it as ‘60 Continental. 💁🏼♂️ Able to hide the rag top and still have a trunk. 👌👌👌👌

I'll bet this generation would have done better if the economy hadn't tanked at that time.
A Power glass rear window on a convertible. The way convertibles should be.
UNA CHULADA!!!
I wish they made iron like this today. Everything today looks like jelly beans on wheels.
beautiful car but I'm not a fan of the ghetto 4" whitewalls. i would prefer OEM 2.25 inch
The only thing missing on this car is the Continental kit.
A Connie kit would ruin the look! No, it's just right, as it is. Only thing I'd add is air conditioning. I noticed there was no factory air.
That is beautiful land yacht cruiser. They cant make them like that no more
