This brings back so many memories. My father bought one of these about a year or so old, years ago when I was a boy in Tulsa, Jokelahoma (Oklahoma), in / around 1960. It was a cream white with some kind of special ceramic paint (I think), and it had a red and white interior. He loved that car. I was the detail boy to wash it and keep it vacuumed and cleaned regularly. We went all over Oklahoma in that car and took a few trips. My father was middle class working for Douglas Aircraft, and he paid a lot of money for that car at the time. He was so proud of it, and thought he was hot shit when driving it around. He had it for about five years, and traded it in on another car - I think a Cadillac, as he loved those too It was such a large car with that push button convertible top. I remember the trunk was huge, and it floated down the highway.
Totally awesome car ! When you think of how opposite the Lincoln and Cadillac were that year it shows you how diverse the market was. Both very unique. I've always preferred the Lincoln's style a little more. Even the 1959 Imperial said Luxury. A beautiful time for automobile design.
Greetings from Germany! Trust me but the USA make the best and gorgious Cars ever! Forget Mercedes and BMW! Todays the Mercedes and BMWs broke every where and rust is your Friend. You never run with the Car without problem over 10 000 Miles.
Could have had one free needed starter about 1980 no one wanted them . Or the 30s v12limos thaanx for preservation of history always saw em filling up with that430
Thanks for wasting my time , waited the whole video to see this fine auto with the top down and what do you do??? You never back up and show the dam thing all you did was zoom in on the top and it’s mechanism, waste of time !!!!
WHY THE HELL would anyone paint a Lincoln Continental that hideous shade of Menstrual Cycle red ? That's a color for a Studebaker Lark, not a top end convertible that cost over $6,000 new
