This beefy Down Jacket is purpose built for Expeditions and Adventures, but does it really cut the mustard? Let’s find out in today’s video. - Навчання та стиль
I live in Sweden and having this jacket for few years, been using it-20 with 2 shirts underneath. I think its still cold around the crook of the arms. If you feel like don’t need that much warm so it will be very fine with Light version
Yep I agree. This one is the light version and it’s quite warm. The regular was definitely designed for subzero temperatures.
been deciding betweem the down and lite version. Lite it is !!
Yeah lite is definitely a misnomer for most people. It’s a very warm jacket
The Jacket looks amazing! Good review, I'll check it out!
Thanks! It was fun to make, plus I got to put Hudson and Maddux in the video 😄
Amazing jacket and nice color
Thank you! Yes I think this green is quite nice
If you should choose would you buy the lite version or the normal expedition? I am a fan of these puffer coats and have the 66north Tindur, Peak performance 2L Down Parka and several others from The North Face, Holzweiler and ROA. What do you think about this Fjällräven Expedition Down compared to other down parkas?
I’ll compare it to Tindur since that’s the only other one I have experience with. The Normal Expedition is comparable with the Tindur Parka warmth wise. I feel like movement is better in the Tindur.
I feel like the Fjallraven ones easily compare on warmth and their overall quality. But I think they could definitely improve with how you can move in the jacket. I hope that helps some
@@BrentMorris Thank you very much for your answer. I like my puffer jackets so oversized as possible. The ones from The North Face, Holzweiler, ROA and Peak Performance Frost down are all oversized and then I like to wear them cropped using the elastic cords at the bottom of the jackets.
I’d definitely rock oversized too, but at my height/weight everything is just “sized” lol
Really informative video thank you. Could you let us know how it fits please? Would you say this fits small or true to size?
Thank you so much 😊
It’s spot on for the measurements in their size guide. Fjallraven is really good about this opposed to a lot of companies.
I’m 6’3” (1.9m) and 225lbs (102kg) and I wear the XXL, and it fits well.
Great Video!
Thanks!
Those inside pockets are glove and hat pockets. Incase you need to use your hands etc.
Yeah I mean they’re great for whatever you need a larger pocket for, but they really are an excellent place to keep water bottles if you’re worried about your water freezing, also great for action cameras and camera batteries if you’re a field photographer because cold weather destroys battery life.
How does it fit, compared to size?

@@BrentMorris 👍🏽
But are you usually a size XXL?
I have 3 Fjällräven jackets, and 2 of them are size XXL (my usual size), but the 3rd (a parka) is size XL.
I’m always an XXL
Wish it handled -30c/-40c better for the cost of this coat.
Yeah I’ve found out you can do -20c with good layers in this. But I’m not sure about colder since that’s as cold as I’ve gotten it. But those colder temperatures are what the non light version or the Polar versions are for.
L, XL?
Me? I’m 190cm and I’m an XXL.
@@BrentMorris l, m from Russia, Moscow... I' m Fjallraven expedition pack down jacket... Color forest green... 👍
@user-us4cm8zq6k that pack down one is a good option for backing and things where you need it to take up less space
