I feel like you're approaching planner peace, girl! Your analytical approach to all of this has really helped me. I'm so impulsive and your reflections helped me zero in on my actual needs.
I will be in the reckless planner massacre with you for 2025. B6 slim is my favorite size however I really need a half year and with inspo from a few of your videos I believe I've figured it out and may even record my trials and errors. Thank you for showing the "different" things they are so relatable and inspiring.
I also bought the B6 Slim compact CP in horizontal. I was hoping for a B6 compact horizontal CP but Catherine didn't offer one this year so i decided to try the B6 Slim and I do like it. It does feel good in hand.
@BlaqButterfly925 I know the B6 release date is on September 15 but I was specifically referring to a B6 horizontal in compact (with 120 blank pages in the back), which Catherine decided not to offer for 2025; only a full year version with 369 pages in the back is offered.
Ooh I love that faux pencil board, I was looking through the website and was slightly disappointed that they didn’t have any. My orders are all waiting to be shipped together (I’m buying something in every launch) and so excited for the b6 slim too! I bought the black one in full and just waiting along. Planner season is weird in that everyone is just checking their shipping status 😂 yours is the first sterling ink 2025 video that I found and it’s so exciting
I find it funny that Catherine makes elaborate hand drawn stickers/prints while her notebooks are really monochromatic in comparison but I guess it’s easier to match that way 😂
People are upset with hobos this year (2025). This already been shares of bleed-thru and feathering. BUT it’s important to note that Hobonichi doesn’t use 52gsm Sanzen TRP - which is what the rest of us use in our planners and notebooks we produce. They use 47gsm Sanzen TRP which as I know is made just for them and I think the huge inconsistencies are because of the GSM difference and probably the fact it’s not being produced as regularly as the 52gsm used by everyone else and also not tested as much because of that. There can be small inconsistencies in batches of 52gsm Sanzen but not to the point of it being bad or have dramatic issues. But can be slightly variations.
@@JustScribble that's what I figure too, but I had already seen people panicking about the Sterling Ink ones after hearing about the hobonichi so I figured I'd just go ahead and do one
Eee how exciting, this is the one I am getting too, but it needs to cross the ocean before it gets to me, so I am living vicariously through your video. Excited to see you use it next year 🥰
Wooooow, that is a very gorgeous planner! I don’t have much experience with the B6 slim, but it’s such an interesting size. I do love the gold edges as well. It looks like it lays pretty flat as well, which is something I struggled with while using their traveler’s notebook sized 520-page notebook. I can’t wait to see how the mulberry cover turns out! 🤩
It's pretty much TN but shorter! I love the aspect ratio, personally. I saw your complaints about the TN laying flat, and while I don't think it's an issue of it being a seconds, I can tell it's with the original black paper cover and there might have been improvements since then. I don't personally use any 520s so I can't speak to that directly
I'm so excited for this size! I received mine yesterday, but sadly mine was defective. I'm patiently waiting for a response. I'm a bit disappointed, but I guess this is the good thing about ordering so early 😅
@@KatiesCraftStudio lol I was so excited, like a little girl on Christmas morning. I was surprised that the planer passed the quality check. The pages were misaligned and the planner block was bent pretty badly. Some pages were sort of passable, but the headings and yearly tracker spread was annoyingly crooked. I plan to use mine for health too, and I know it will annoy me for the entire year :(
Thanks for sharing Katie, it’s a gorgeous planner. It seems like the DA document inks tend to be wet inks! And I love that leather! Can’t wait to see your creation♥️
Mine also arrived yesterday and I have already ran to Staples to trim it down to the Nanami Cafe height (my covers are designed for the shorter height). Will figure out how I am going to use it for sure but glad to have it here.
@@arieleaton3418 they are both older - I have a chic sparrow b6 slim folio (before she made them for the jibun) and I had a custom vds made several years ago that won’t fit the taller size. Handstitched LeatherT will make them in the nanami size if you go to their website so that may be my next one!
Wow! Beautiful planner. I got into Hobonichi last year and tried ordering from them this year, but after their website issues and price gouging after it I decided I’m not going to support them again. Next year I’ll be ordering a Sterling Ink planner. 😁
You: "I only got the one planner" Me: (looks around, whistling, not making eye contact) I hope she includes that "pencil board" in all of the orders because that is exactly what I would use it for. I'm looking forward to trying the B6 slim, even though I traditionally prefer regular B6 and Personal Wide over Weeks and Personal/TN sizes.

@cyn8442 the release date for the B6 is 9/15/24. There are 3 different product release dates for the various 2025 Common Planners and notebooks.
