I guarantee it the Harley will not last . at all especially if they run it with out oil like they did the one before.
Georgios 102472 no sh!t. A Harley isn’t a dirt bike. It would do the same if you took a Honda, Kawasaki, or Ktm street bike out there and did that. They aren’t made for it.
My friend has one of these Apollo bikes and it's really fun.
For the money of the Tao. I got one for a starter bike and it lasted a good year before I sold it. I'd say it's pretty reliable you just gotta keep up on maintenance

@@Alex-gn6xb I’m 6’6” and 220 pounds and it handles me perfect. It’s not small, it’s a perfect size. If you want more power and speed then yes go for a 250cc but this Apollo 125 is really good and reliable!

Less extreme example of this was a decade ago when I managed paintball stores. Taiwanese manufacturered paintball market were on the market for cheap, they were on the market for decades. $300 for something that could complete with markers costing $1200. The Taiwanese stuff ironically made by companies rooted in motorcycle manufacturing was really good, cheap to repair and while there were a few turds, many were really just as good or better than the higher end stuff. I used one regularly however the owner of the my stores and many other paintball stores shunned the brands and even refused to carry them. With online retailers offering cheaper than brick and mortar could get product for, many stores have died out. It makes me wonder how much better they could have done buying from the Taiwanese instead of buying through kee action sports and getting screwed on pricing that favored the online retailers.

I have one of these and I’m not going to lie it’s honestly been one hell of a bike definitely a blast to ride and is a great learners bike as well as just a fun smaller bike that you can do tons of mods to, was very surprised at the quality and the things I’ve taken it through! I actually just got done washing my baby and I plan on upgrading the sprocket soon to get higher top speed as well as possibly upgrading air filter and possibly fuel pump but I’ll probably start with the first two! If you have any questions just let me know

I own 3 taotaos now and all they need is a new carb and proper jetting when you first buy them.
They come with a non adjustable carb due to some emissions stuff I believe and make the bikes run lean as crap.
Great bikes for the money if you know a little about fixing them yourself.
With the Chinese stuff you gotta know how to fix them. I know, I have a chinese scooter. If you cannot fix anything, you should pay more for a Japanese bike.

Just got two Apollos for me and my girl to learn on and she went through a puddle...just so happens it was over 2ft deep completely sunk the motor killed it pulled it to the other side of this "puddle" kicked it three four good times cranked over no problems. Dropped them a few times still ticking. Great starter bike for someone looking for small but not SSR small.

I've got a 1200 Sportster that was crashed into the back of a pickup truck and the guy had just paid it off about a year before that so I bought it from him for 1500 bucks and I put a new set of forks on it and a long floater and put a set of knobby tires on it and it's one of the best dirt bikes I've ever had. You wouldn't believe how good that thing we'll climb a hill. Truly unbelievable. Who would ever thought a 1200 Sportster dirt bike lol

Buying cheap dirtbikes like these is like buying a shitbox commuter car. You don't really give a damn about what happened to these bikes cause you haven't paid much for them anyway but they look
truely fun to ride, also lets just talk about how super reliable these things are for the price. Heck if I was into dirt bikes I might have considered picking one up on Amazon.
I was tempted to buy one of these as a future engine swap candidate until I heard about a import company called venom was supposed to be importing a 500cc model soon. Don't know what the price point will be but it's it's around 2k to 2.5k It looks like it would be a good deal but not as a real "dirt bike" but defiantly as a dual sport. When I was researching I saw pictures of broken welds on the "magician's" frame which is the cheapest model and on the other models broken swing arms (besides Brozz which uses a stronger one).
The swing as doesn't bother me since I'm a fab man and would probably build one out of aluminum if given the chance. The frame welds on the magician's would just be a nuisance to fix.
EDIT: SIde note if you are thinking of become a dealer for these style of Chinese dual sports you should really look into the larger displacement models.
As 400-500cc inside this general size frame in my opinion is the best sized dual sport. I don't know why other companies haven't made a large displacement 250 frame dual sport.
Honda finally reintroduced this year the cr500 which is a 491cc 2 stroke squeezed into a 250 frame. So they are part way there.
EDIT 2: I'm saying dual sport versus dirt bike since the general consensus is these bikes ride better on the street compared to honda 250 and 450s. But not as good off road as them either suspension wise.They are more centered in the application.
There are other adventure dual sports in the big 4 that are in the 500cc area but are like elephants compared to these bikes defiantly more street than dirt.
Just buy a used crf250 for 2.5k
I traded an xbox that i got in a trade for a tao tao for my step son.. he rode it straight to the beach.. i pulled it out and let it sit in the sun for a few mins then it started right up for another round of abuse.. in the course of 4 hours and in the hands of a 10 years old! It probably fell a minimum of 20 times per hour.. only thing that i had to do to it is tighten the kickstand lmao

For anyone wanting to see genuine beat down on these Chinese bikes ive got videos on my YT!
I’ve had mine for about a year I bought it just to see how much I would ride one before spending thousands on one and after a year and numberous lay downs from me and friends it still runs, it’s not a bad bike for under a grand
that poor main bearing must be beat to hell if any water got into the crankcase
That thumbnail hurt me because it looked like an expensive Kawasaki that I once had
In all honesty I’m pretty impressed how well they held up there really not bad of a bike maybe a little pricey but not bad especially when you consider what most stuff is costing these days I would like to see how they held up over time though

My landlord's son just bought the 230e Honda dirt bike for like a thousand bucks and I port and Polished the cylinders and put bigger piston rings in it and change the carburetor on it and that bike absolutely screams now. It will almost keep up with my 250X
