Rebuilds don't always have this figured out. You need to mess with it and SAVE your old automatic choke. Save the wiring too. Old one has a metal ring. I have had to keep reusing the original choke ring. These 2100s take a lot of patience. They don't last for ever. Be very careful when you remove the fuel filter. I found that I don't need to tighten the fuel filter all the way in. Good luck and may the force be with you!
I got in trouble from using an included bottom gasket. The original mechanic skipped the bottom gasket. I had to remove the gasket. Base is a rubber like material. This Carb. is a tough customer. One month later, I think I might have it.....
Is there an electric choke kit for my Motorcraft 2151kl on an AMC 304? I wanted to delete/block the choke heater tube that runs through the intake manifold. Or did I miss one somewhere in the link below for the 2150 series?
So I have the 2150 with the 1 wire electric choke. I have it hooked up to a 12v when key is on, is this correct? Will this not fry the coil plate eventually?
theres a passage you block with the lead ball so it dont have a vacuum leak without the manifold loop. I did on mine but it also has the pull down on the back
I cant thank you enough sir! You and your staff have made my overhauls possible, and possibly keep the carburetor generation going!
Ordered some day ago from your shop. 👍 Its now on the way to Germany. Thanks for all the good videos here

will this replace a holley 2209 carburetor off a 65 rambler classic with a 287 engine?

Is the hot air line going to the choke a compression fitting?

That is correct. This will not harm the plate. The thermostat is grounded to the carburetor.
Great video. Thanks. Use this same conversion kit on the motorcraft 2150 as well? Going on a 76 LTD.
I think I’m going to piggyback my 12V source from the throttle position solenoid 12V. Anyone see a problem with this?
what about the lead ball and why dont holley or carter use a rheostat?
Cant I just give it 12V or is this a lower voltage coil?
