Funny how that deckhand
Shut his mouth real quick
Huh? 😂
No matter what you think about elliot, He wasn't wrong. The crew was acting childish, they were abusing equipment then directly disobeying the captain. Doesn't matter if you like them, he's still the captain
Sh!tty captain, sh!tty crew.
He was quiet when C come down on deck...
He might be goin to jail for a really long time he was apart of a drug trafficking ring local to me could go to jail 5 to 40 years
He's a crackhead son
@@akfish0515 who ? Eliot?
Always knew he was going to fail. He shows so much potential but he was always standing in his own way. With that said, he wasn’t a bad Captain. And in this situation he was 100% correct.
It's sad he could have been the next sig but he let drugs get in the way. Hopefully he will sober up and permanently leave the drugs behind and start a better life. Don't forget he's still a father
@@blackbeard6861 man he had everything at one point and still relapsed. Hes serving up to 40 years in prison, hes done.
@Ron oh wow I didn't know that
@Ron I just looked him up and it says he's back at sea but has no plans to return to reality TV
@@blackbeard6861 he was just busted for heroin distribution, he pled guilty and will be facing up to 40 years in prison
That one guy sure is quiet all of a sudden 🤔
🙂
Yeah. He went with the old. I cant see the toats excuse
It's a shame what direction his life went in. Elliot had a lot of talent and really held his own as a captain.
isnt this his comeback?

Cant say it was them not clearing since youre literally on camera saying youre going to smash all the totes if you want.
Always obey captain
Could have been good Captain ,if he didn't go sideways
Elliott minus drugs was one of my favorite captains.
I wish he'd come back... he's got crab blood
I liked him better on the drugs
It's not always clear when he's on drugs and when he's not.
I don't see anything wrong here. He was using the tote crusher properly..
LOL!!
Eliot, for all his drug problems, was actually a good captain and knew what he was doing. He was also there for his fellow fisherman that had a problem.
I hope he's doing well these days.

He's in jail for trafficking large amounts of heroin and fentanyl through the Aleutians.
Golden, argues with the captain then when it brakes immediately tries to push the blame onto the other workers.

He's been busted for heroin distribution
El is a great captain when hes thinking straight
I'm pretty sure all these guys do some type of speed (drugs) bc staying up and working 2-3 days straight is damn near impossible. The body starts to shut down eventually.
Opiates are also used in hard manual labor type jobs. For some people that use/abuse them, it can give you the energy to work the long shifts, and the serotonin can help keep you motivated & in a relatively good mood. It also dulls the aches & pains that come from working long hours.
@@cleech74 bingo. It's a huge issue why America has no "essential workers" right now.
Funnily enough, it's what happens when you push people to breaking point with very little reward because the wealthy have driven property costs up while keeping wages low.

They should have apologised and called him captain.
No respect there. Probs because he’s younger than them
I miss this Guy
A Captain gets the crew he deserves !
I thought it said snorting table lmaoo
Lmao, that would actually make sense on that boat with that captain.
I don't know enough to say whether Neese was right or wrong, and I'm disgusted by the crew's reaction. However, I will say that it's more a sign of Neese's leadership than anything. If Captain Phil had done this, not one person would have said a damn thing other than "yes, sir".
I always thought Sig intimidating in an old school kind of way. His crew has so much respect for him they don’t ever really talk back.

The "captain" I absolutely cannot/could not stand. That voice... the immaturity in dealing with his ex... he's is/was just disgusting on about every level.
How did you deal with your ex wife? Sense you're an expert on failed marriages.

Speak your piece’ Why can’t we use the Hopper?’
Jeff just needs a bit of meff
Elliot not my favourite captain he’s got issues too but he’s totally right with this. The crews carelessness lead to the sorting table getting screwed up and now instead of fishing they are spending time fixing the table.
why show old clips like its new, this is like a decade old
Thanks for clarifying. I was wondering if this was new or not
Nothing worse than having to work with a miserable person, that negativity spreads like cancer
It seems if the chain of command breaks down in a dangerous place as the Sea that's when the fit hits the Shan.
The crew was wrong for that, but when the boss tells you to do something the hard way for no good reason after working for 30 hours straight. That isn't gonna go over well
It wasn't for no good reason, though. He explained they were going to have to start stacking pots near the tank, and the hopper would be in the way. Those guys were just in a mood, especially Jeff. Gripe all you want, but do it while you do what the captain says, because he's the boss for a reason.
And now that attitude has cost them $25k from their wages
Damn use whatever makes it more efficient.❤
Not when as STATED the hopper would obstruct the pots being stacked behind, he wasn't telling them not to use it for the sake of his health
Is that a Colorado hat he's got on that's badass hew yea
Somebody let Elliot captain a boat 😂🤣😂
Pretty sure he owns it

As much as folks should obey their captain, the fact that his orders and the way they were taken led to such a dump in crew morale, shows how bad management can make people hate you while good management can make people loyal to you.
Sometimes crew morale may suffer because they don't like the order but the person I'm charge normally has the big picture. If you listened the hopper would be in the way so this wasn't bad management and was bad attitudes and people who think they are bigger than they are.
maybe he should not push the crew beyond their limits
Ah the good old days of Captain Elliot, talk about a absolute train wreck . It Was great TV
Ooh...I read...."snorting" table.
Wonder how ole Elliott is doing this days and what alley he lives in
After a long night of work you know the Captain and the whole crew are snorting a whole 8 ball of coke
I would make them use totes for the rest of the season
I thought Discovery deleted all of this drug addict captain's footage.
That would be almost all of it
Fix the table, replace the people that don’t listen. Simple
25. Grand will buy a lot of totes.
I think there’s WAY more drug use and alcohol dependence than we realize? These dudes get strangely grumpy sometimes…..

As long as I can smoke while working I can do anything!
I just HAVE to share a name with this guy
"Deck boss" lol. Yeah right. This guy is a little child. Good job man.
In any business or sport you could be GOD but you will only ever be as good as the team around you

even though hes an addict, hes the captain and orders need to be followed to keep people alive. HOWEVER addicts are not in their right minds most of the times so its a tough spot to be in. on a boat with your life in a junkies hands. this guy screwed his career up all by himself. he gave his career to his addiction without a fight. when in addiction, accountability is non existent.
dude is way too young to be using the term "I've forgotten more than they know"
how is 40 young?
All of these people here talking about Elliot as if he's some good dude... guys, hes an awful father, atrocious husband, and irresponsible captain who put his crew at risk every trip from being too strung out to make good decisions. good riddance.
hold on you mean the crew disobeyed their cracked out captain?
Sometime's as a leader you have to pick your battle's, and not letting them use the hopper was probably wrong, as it incited a temper tantrum by the crew!!
But what was right, was to not fix the table, and let them suffer the consequence's of there action's!!!!!!
I wonder if they keep the broken off legs and claws for dinner 🤔
No welder on the boat? Thats an easy fix
I’m confused, if the table is light enough to get derailed by the totes that are 90LBS, how can they not lift the table back on the tracks?
That's fishermen for you. They're some of the dumbest people you'll meet. I service the powertrains on these fishing vessels.

I thought Elliot was long gone .
He is this is an old episode, the show is in its 18th season and Elliot left in season 11 for rehab.
The totes getting crushed was a direct result of elliott (THE CAPTAIN) ordering the crew to load the aft hold using totes instead of using the hopper. For whatever tweaker reason.
You do know that it is possible to load the totes without crushing them right? Loading them is a HELLUVA lot easier when you have the totes next to the sorting table instead of under it.
@@casualguy3938 OK captain obvious, let's hear what mamma has to say on the subject.
That's like saying if you're loading a truck with a pallet jack instead of a forklift the truck driver should run over the pallet jack multiple times.
@@darklordojeda Ok with the tweaker reasoning that makes total sense.
