It’s a problem because it’s not farmed, make it an agricultural industry.

Easier said than done. There are many complications that come with farming fish. Among the top are unhealthy and dangerous health issues.

Take it as you may but Apartheid did create a big difference between the rich and the poor. The current Government with laws that gives preference to black people,, the Equality Employment Act gives 70% to blacks for employment over 1% for coloured people. Yet both black and white and coloured people are struggling to survive and all of us are equally busy pouching....
How can you try to stop the illegal trade but don't give the people another way to survive and provide for themselves. How can you stop someone from going hungry...
Since this epidemic started up until today no one has tried to give the people a alternative method.
Yet as human beings we poses the knowledge to plant and grow the species. Why don't we try to make the pouchers legal,?
Yet Abalone in the wild will never become extinct. This we have already proven
We all need to forgive the past and work together to find a way forward. If not the Authorities will just keeping chasing the pouchers forever. Then the next generation comes only to continue.
We didn't create the illegal Abalone trade. We woke up and grew up in it. Give us a chance to share in the promise of Democracy.
We are not gangsters nor thieves nor criminals. ..
We are fishers without a right . And we are proud to be as we can prove our ancestors dived thousands of years ago. This is our heritage. Please stop making us out to be criminals.

    Thank you

Why do I get the feeling that the apex of the problem being the chinese is not addressed? They are the creators of the problem.
