Thanks for this video. I have been using Kongs for while with my dog, and he loves them but gets through them in a matter of minutes. This gives me new ideas.

Jay, if your dog has some experience with Kongs and you've put plenty of good stuff in, you can freeze it solid, like for 3 hours or more. This means planning ahead. If you think your dog is not ready for that though, just partially freeze it the first few times so it's a little easier. I freeze mine solid and they stay in the freezer (for days) until I use them.

One of these days! I have all sorts of footage; just need to make the movie! But here's a hint: stuff a Kong, freeze it, then immerse it in a larger container of cold water and freeze that. Ice Kong! It's not that challenging, but it is time consuming. And definitely needs to be given outside.

Sorry that I can't give specific answers. Get one that your dog can't possibly swallow, but if possible isn't so big that they can't get it in their mouths. Also, they have special puppy and geriatric ones that are a little softer. Kong has a FaceBook page and they might advise you with more specifics.

Hi Shelly, if he is just beginning, I would freeze small pieces of the freezable items separately and put them in the Kong for him to roll out of there. Frozen so they won't stick. Or dried meat if that's OK with you. If he already has the basics down, there's no reason not to just stuff a Kong with the things he normally eats, is there? Meat and rice and veggies would make a great frozen Kong I think.

I noticed you use vanilla yogurt you may want to make a note on this video it to be careful for flavored yogurt as they can contain sugar is toxic to dogs like xylitol. Plain yogurt is best. :)

@areyousure Thank you for the caution! The yogurt I showed doesn't have xylitol, but you are right and I'll put a note in the video. I tend not to buy low fat stuff that much anymore because of the sugar. My dogs like plain yogurt blended with banana (with a little peanut butter sometimes) just fine.

Which kind of Kong would be good for a Australian Shepherd puppy?
Which Kong for a Yorkie Puppy?

Hi, my dog won't eat kibble. I give him gourmet meals with meat, eggs, rice, and veggies. So for all the kibble/soaked kibble portion of these kongs, what am I supposed to do?
