  • This video by NARM Creator Dr. Larry Heller and NARM Trainer Brad Kammer introduces an overview of the Connection Survival Style.
What used to be referred to as the "Schizoid Structure" has been re-framed from a less pathological and more resource-oriented perspective in the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). The NARM understanding of the Connection Survival Style also makes this earliest state of development, and thus early and pre-verbal trauma, more accessible to clinical treatment.
NARM is an integrative model that addresses disruption of self, identity and personality while also identifying the physiological dysregulation that leads to the various symptoms associated with Complex Trauma. NARM is a cutting-edge clinical approach for those that are interested in the ACEs study and who work with populations of clients who have been affected by complex trauma.
