The biggest thing this game needs to work on is the sound. The balance is way off, and some of the instrumentation could really use additional layering to add to that exciting SA style but still keep the upbeat and lighthearted sound of places like Green Hill zone. Controls seem great, design of the environments, characters, and level flow is solid. Maybe tweak how things look as you're traveling through water or leaves?
It is still an unfinished free demo so they'll most likely update and so. But I agree! I want Adventure Guitars too and that kick ass fast pace music like in Sonic Adventure

The speedrunning strats for the full game are going to be insane. I think I already see a few points where you could shave a second or two by dive kicking.

This looks really good. Maybe make the air spindash a little less op and make it more dependent on momentum. cause I feel like always having that option takes away the players focus on enjoying the simple movement of the character.
At 2:09 is a good example. Instead of waiting for the right time to use the spindash. The whole jump shoud been just barely enough time to charge that dash. I feel like that ancipation of air spindash would make it more exiting.

same here. i hesitate to call it a pure knockoff, since there _is_ obviously love and care being put into it, but i can't shake the feeling that it has kind of a cynical "we're gonna do sonic _right_ because sega can't" undertone to it. on the other hand, though, i can understand the motivation behind it considering sonic hasnt really had a 3d title without its fair share of jank since... ever. it's fair to wanna make that change yourself, but i do wish rollin rascal did more to set itself apart other than trying to be "sonic but good". just kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
i don't agree. If the spirit of this game was to offer a sonic experience that the players will never get from sega, then it is justified the way as it is. Making the game too different would leave the same feel of void of a proper 3d sonic experience that already exists before this game.
The dev time is gonna take extremely long or have a puny amount of levels. If should have 80 like any normal platform we, but it looks like 10-15, 20 at best. Also the graphics could be better. TThe graphics look in between the Wii and Wii u.
