I used to hate him in past before 2016 and now he is my favourite player. He is very good person inside as well as outside the field. He loves his fan.A real cricket fan never hates virat kohli. He is only one diamond in group of golds(other cricketer).I love you virat kohli.King kohli,Noone is better than you.
The Virat I knew and grew up watching would make runs like it was nothing. Would get frustrated and clearly see him mad if he gets out early or just lose. It surely in the next match or so he would bat like there is no other day. Now he play weird shots and gets out in the most dumbest way possible right early in his innings and then go have a laugh with his teammates and do the same thing next match. Need my Old Kohli back.
My observation ..and its just my observation..father hood changed him..he has started to think what I believe that there is more to life than to be unnecessarily aggressive ..his aggression drived him and now that it has somewhat gone..the old Virat we may never see...just my thought
it's simple, his prime is over. that's all. Most of the athletes have their prime around 30 to 35 but Virat was an exception like few others and had his prime from 25 to 30. Now that his prime is over, he is batting normally. that's all. And also to inform you, 95% of the athletes have their primes only once. So the chances of you seeing the old Kohli is slim
All that he is saying is real. I felt that myself. At the age of 33 I was able to sustain 3 hours of football training and recover quickly and now its a struggle because although the workouts are equally intense but my diet is meat-based. I am 38 btw.
Interestingly this part of the interview wasn’t public when it was first published in 2019. Guess Virat wanted to keep this real reason for turning vegetarian confidential for sometime.
He talks about how him consuming fat gave him more more energy, so after the diet change, he certainly has has become more fast , but i feel it certainly has affected his power game or pinch hitting ability, he is not able to go through with a shot , there has been an evident change in batting stance , and i think these all are directly connected to him changing his diet. It has taken a lot of shots out of the game . Hope to see him score big runs again :)
Our stomach's environment is not alkaline, it needs to be acidic to function properly, the ideal pH being 1.5-3.5 which is very acidic. I get that elevated uric acid might be causing a problem but alkaline stomach is definitely not ideal. Maybe he wanted to say less acidic but said alkaline as it is the generally used as an opposite word of acidic, which it isn't.
Okay so the reason he told for quitting the "meat based meal"........or we could say that what the "acupuncture wala guy" told ......is absolutely ridiculous.............how come the alkalinity of calcium in bone gets to the stomach to neutralize the HCL in stomach..............absolutely ridiculous!!!!
Although I am not an expert in biology, what he could mean is that the calcium intake through his diet which was meant for his bones was being diverted by his body to his stomach to counter the increased levels of acidity. Is that possible?
@Ishandeep Singh, you are wrong. Calcium carbonate has always been used as an antacid, aka neutralizing the acid. I think a bit of basic biology will help. Coming from a sports nutritionist. For those wondering, eating plant-based does not make much difference in terms of strength or building muscle compared to meat if eaten in the right amounts but recovery through a plant-based diet is almost 2.5x faster than meat based diet. If anything, his performance drop is more psychological than physical.
Messi is having an extraordinary talent, everybody does hardwork but someone with some extra abilities gets the crown. Obviously Ronaldo has also worked hard but even he was having some extraordinary talent which makes him different from others, although he says that he doesn't had any talent but believe me even he doesn't knows his inborn skills which made him the best. In short, hardwork is necessary but talent will take you to next level.
