lots of supermodels started book clubs over lockdown, so i decided to join them and read their top recommendations. let's see if kaia gerber, emily ratajkowski, and camille rowe have TASTE.

thanks very much for watching, don't forget to subscribe, and give the video a thumbs up if you enjoyed!!
"I've moved to Paris" is going to replace "I'm an English Lit student" and honestly, that's fine 🤷♂️
Omg I was gonna comment this!
@@rhianx Shoot I just did.
Well... jack found his another iconic line for each video
@@rashichoudhary2006 ok now i have to look for your comment 😭

Quote of the Day: “My Fashion is less Tom Ford, and more whatever I can afford.”
(Edit: Thank you for the likes)
🤣🤣🤣
Is Tom Ford expensive? My European friends told me that line is quite affordable.
Me too, sadly it's true. What styles I like and what my wallet approves are not seeing eye to eye🙍
his humor is immaculate
@@LittleMew133 8 months later, but wow your European friends are quite rich.
Spat out my tea at the Tom ford line
hi Ali!
Ford? 🤔
same Ali same
not joking, I was also drinking my water when Jack said that line and almost choked myself lmao
lol so cool to see you here btw

Obviously I'm interested in books, but the reason I keep watching these videos is Jack's dedication to terrible puns.
his puns aren't that terrible but i guess it's really just the way he executes them that makes the puns funny😆
@@cescascamera3365 For me terrible puns are the best puns ^^
I love Jack’s puns. They are honestly brilliant. And the way he delivers them makes it that much more hilarious 😂
saaaame i love it
So glad I'm not the only one! I don't even skip his ads because of them 😂💕
Jack is so polite that he wants the book thief to read the stolen book and then return it.
THIS IS SO TRUE 🔥
Haha in the defence of people living in Paris, sometimes people do leave books in the park or in front of their building for others to pick up :)
I wouldn’t call that person a thief, actually!
Describes Jack in the books precisely!
HAIN??? dildaar begum?? aap yahan? small world
One of the main reasons I love Jack's videos so much is because of how he talks about feminism and books surrounding female characters and their problems. Honestly, every man should have that point of view. The world would be such a brilliant place with it.
same!! the first video i watched from jack was him talking openly ab a book based on feminism and i was shocked w how eager he was on the topic. shows that he is comfortable w his masculinity. now i'm obsessed w his channel.
And I know I can rely on his taste.

Jack is already a supermodel in secret 😤😩✋🏻
Can't believe Jack's got me indirectly joining supermodel bookclubs. His power
This video is a direct (or is it coincidental) shade to the article in the previous video which indirectly stated that models don't read (or beautiful people can't be smart) and I'm loving it.
OMG I NOTICED THAT TOO
WHAT A KING
I love when models or people from the fashion industry recommend books, shows and stuff. It shows that's they're more than just a pretty face, I'm honestly very sick of people just treating these people like they're dumb dolls who don't have a mind of their own.
Drinking game with Jack
Take a drink whever you hear
" I moved to France"
A bad pun
A dad joke
"Immaculate"
"I'm an english grad student"
"Brilliant"
also "compliments to the chef "
I like the idea that someone was walking through the park like "God, give me a sign if I need help!" And then they find a book called 'self-help'.
The comparison between Songs of innocence/experience and folklore/evermore was what did it for me 😂😂 a literal legend
Honestly this was everything 😂
What we've learned from this is that Jack needs to become a supermodel, so they can trade reading tips with other supermodels.
Never thought I’d be joining Kaia Gerber’s bookclub so I could keep up with her livestream discussions but here we are
This is really fascinating especially with such a big stereotype of models being dumb or not interested in anything that requires thought. I love that they're subverting that but also just sharing what they love to read.
Here's a fun video idea- you should react to women written by men. Also when did you move to Paris? I've been gone from your channel for a while and I come back to see you in Paris? Wow. Honestly good for you👏
Yes! Really good idea! @JackEdwards
Maybe even compare women written by men & men written by women?
@@user-qu8zs7vs1x stephen king too

‘Jack in Paris’. It’s ‘Emily in Paris’ but makes more sense.
Hello bro.
@@blasangna3797 Hello!
Jack, you should name your Paris series “The Paris Pages” instead of “The Paris Diaries!”
Jack, can you read please do a review of Timothee Chalamet’s taste in books. I’m curious what you think. They are mostly Russian classics.
And I’d ask you to do Emma watsons favs but I feel I wouldn’t see you for over a month. 😅
You the bees knees Jack!
@@user-qu8zs7vs1x thank you for this I just saw updates on his on his Goodreads 😅

I live in Ukraine and bought Why I am no Longer talk to white people about race at the vintage store in Zaporizhia for 1 hryvna (0,038 dollars). I wanted to improve my English and the title intrigued me. I started to read this book when BLM began, and I was shocked and amazed at the same time. This book opened my eyes to a lot of things, and I'm so happy that not many people in Zaporizhia were interested in this topic, so I could bought this book for nothing😂. It's hard to read cause my English is bad, but it is totally worth it.
your English sounds prety good imo!

Your English is good! If you’re able to read a non-fiction in a language that’s not your native language, then trust me, you’re good in the language!!
"My taste in fashion and my budget for fashion are two very different things." Same.
... Well, I once forgot my phone in a shop in London... fortunately, someone noticed and actually handed it over to the shopkeeper who then handed it back to me once I got there...I can't claim to be any more responsible than you are. (Still, it was pretty funny.)
Supermodels like these ones are proof that brains and beauty do go together.
Yay for blue! I need to get my hands on that book... love blue.
Not him flexing on us with his little 'reading outside on a terrace in Paris' edits. Impecable, honestly.
The comparison between Blake's "Songs of Innocence and Experience" and Taylor Swift's "folklore" and "evermore" albums is the final key I needed to finally understand why I am the way I am. Thank you.
I was eating dinner when jack said you know how much I love normal people and I just said out loud, "oh we know"
I need "No plot just vibes" Printed on my clothes and tote bags right now because that's what my life is. No plot, just vibes ✌
I love the fact that on this channel, jack never assumes the audience know books and things but also never talks down either. It makes it interesting and funny and educational? But not pretentious or annoying
I absolutely adore videos like this because it really is such a longstanding stereotype that supermodels are meant to be ditzy and nothing but looks, and it's a misconception that I sometimes even find myself buying into. So to see a video highlighting not just supermodels and their love of reading, but also how thoughtful and powerful their recommendations are, and how Kaia Gerber can have such deep conversations about societal expectations of women and beauty at only 20 years old, it really helps to dispel those negative assumptions people might have about supermodels. I love this video, and I thank Jack for making it and being so thoughtful and eloquent in every video he makes.
I hope one of your book recommendations gets adapted into an Oscar-winning film.
Jack's crossover of fashion and books is ✨ immaculate ✨
Happy birthday in advance 🥳
I read Bluets years ago and it still occupies a truly ridiculous amount of space in my brain - I'm o glad you loved it too! Also, love the balcony reading shots! Inspired me to go sit on my balcony and vibe with my own book 🥰
Jack taking a laugh break makes me giggle every time 😂
when you started talking about songs of innocence & experience, i literally thought to myself "ah yes the Romantic's folklore & evermore" AND THEN YOU SAID IT. proof that swifties are telepathically connected
Glad to see I am not the only one who thought of folklore and evermore along with songs of innocence and experience
I'm suprised you haven't covered Emma Watson's reading list yet! Would love to see it
10:10 “I recommend picking this up, you might find it on a park bench” damn, so salty, I love it.
Felt a dagger in my heart. You left a book in a park.
0:21 I'm gonna use this quote till I die.
So happy that we get to see that supermodels have other sides. So many people, myself included, sometimes forget that people who are famous for 1 thing can still be very good in other areas as well.
I see polish posters at the background, are you living with someone from Poland?? It was so weird but cool to see poster in polish above your shoulder. Fellow Pole here 🇵🇱
he moved to Paris but i'm also intrigued by this posters!
I'm also intrigued. What's going on. I love it but it did make me stop and wonder what's the story here is?
On the another print (the one with Eiffel tower) is also Polish tekst. Ostatnie tango w Paryżu. I'm also curious what's the story behind them.
Was wondering exactly the same thing!
I was scrrolling trough all the comments just to find this one. I'm also super intrigued by this poster!
As someone who loves reading but is at the start of the “journey” I have two requests for videos if you ever see this. Poetry that is real and visceral, kind of like Bukowski. Also sad books, there’s something bout both music and literature that manages to wake the sad feeling that I find fascinating since it’s in my opinion the truest feeling next to love. Thanks for some of my favorite videos in YT
I really enjoy the tiny and ultimately unimportant detail that this Brit has in his new Parisian flat posters which are in Polish :)
I can’t get my eyes off of that poster in the background. Enticing
4:13 the transition in lighting is so good 🤩
if you love bluets, i suggest reading the white book by han kang! it explores white not only as a color but also white as a loneliness, death, birth, and so much more. not to mention the concept is pretty similar--short lyrical prose
I love how on the cover of Play It as It Lays is the picture that Eve Babitz (with the French painter Marcel Duchamp) sent to Joseph Heller to help publish her book- along with a an ICONIC letter
Jack's Vocabulary in this video: 🤌
do you think you could make a video on recommendations for people who are struggling with poor mental health (or going through it lmao)? so many incredible books I want to read are so dark and heavy, so some light recs would be appreciated!!
Imagine being a super model AND have excellent book taste we could never
Living in Paris has become Jack's entire personality at this point and honestly GOOD FOR HIM
Jack, honey, I know it might be annoying at this point but I beg you please do Hozier book recommendations next.
