Thanks for digging the peanuts........quite the process .......gotta have my peanut butter....been having it on my toast every day for the last 5 years...... good job
Awesome. I am new to the peanut harvesting thing, so looking forward to seeing the entire process. Oh, and that pissing of the internet move was crazy!!
@DskPeezyTv it seems like our red soil doesn’t wear as much as other types of soil. We have some land down south that has darker soil there we have to replace plow blades once a day
Digging we can do all night. But harvesting we have to pay attention to humidity. Too much and the peanuts don’t fall off the vine in the combine and fly out the back
I can remember one elderly man from my childhood that never switched to tractors. He used mules until he retired He would plant a couple of acres of peanuts each year and use a single bottom turning plow to plow them up. Then he would scoop them up with a pitchfork and place them on stack poles to dry. After they dried. He would get farmer to bring a 2 row picker over and would run them through the picker. That was the old, old school way for peanuts.
I’ve been involved in peanut farming since 1968 I was 5 years old I started driving a tractor 🚜 when I was 9 years old dad planted potatoes in 74 and 75 our family farm is in central Oklahoma.
As a longtime heavy equipment operator I must say getting out of a moving tractor is one of the dumbest things I have seen. Had you tripped getting in or out you are toast.
Id have to agree. That is not very smart. Especially if you are in the field alone. Being young makes you feel invincible but all it takes is one time and you are dead

Awesome I love it
Thats a new operation to me. Great work. Greetings from Dundalk, Ireland
Looks really cool harvesting peanuts 🥜
Digger tyres and pivot tyres have one thing in common, you never have to look hard to find one that’s flat at the bottom.
And it’s always the bottom they never get flat on top

Excellent video Conley, thanks again.
Conley, I used to live in Odessa and that land you're working sure resembles Seminole Seagraves area. Looks like you got a pretty good yield
We we’re definitely happy with our yield
I wish I could work with this guy.
Great content. Watching from Zambia
Great video loved it cheers
So impressive - Kind regards from Denmark
Excellent brother
Nice equipment.
Peanuts are looking good Conley! What causes the black dead peanuts, is it rot from too much water or is it a disease?
Too many cloudy cold days in a row after having 98° days
Nice ❤❤
Thanks
Do you use habisaid
Great video! Now how long do they sit before combining them?
Usually it’s 7 days but recently it’s been very hot and windy with no clouds so they’ve been drying in 3-4 days
What are the purpose of the drags hanging by chain underneath by your tires on the digger
Creates a small bed so the combine pick up the peanuts better
I am a peanut farmer in Japan. Does your combine record the yield and use that data to inform the fertilization plan for the following year?
No it doesn’t sadly
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌
👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌
I almost freaked out when you jumped out of a moving tractor , that don't work with my John Deere lawnmower .
Haha yea it doesn’t work on all machines
just mod it to do it 🤫
Mine was the same. You just need to link out the switch in the seat!
What gun mount is that? I could use one 😂
Gun grabber on Amazon it’s pretty great I love it
@@conleybanman thanks
Is that an 8R series Tractor that you're using
Yup
so nice
What % window tint you use since you do it all the way around
I forget but I think it’s 30-35%
How many acres yall dig before you have to change the blades on the digger
We can usually do about a season with one set of blades
@@conleybanman oh 4real I see other farmers talking about they have to change blades every 40 acres

Howdy Conley
Where are you from?
Texas
Can you dig all night? Or does the dew, humidity make the "tough" like the soybeans up here?
Digging we can do all night. But harvesting we have to pay attention to humidity. Too much and the peanuts don’t fall off the vine in the combine and fly out the back
Nice,
Keep pissing off the internet! 😆
Haha gladly
before auto steer that must have been mind numbing to do
Did it 2 row for years and years. You were tired at the end of the day.🙂
With digging you don’t necessarily need gps the tractor stays in between the rows perfectly due to us having listed beds

Definitely sounds like a lot more work but fun as a hobby for like an acre in your backyard
How many rows are you actually digging?😊
8 we don’t do twin rows like they do on the east coast
@@conleybanman Thanks!
You should never get off a tractor while it’s moving

How do you control weed
Residuals, herbicides, and hoe hands
Bro i really want to visit your farm and want to work with you?
