I just bought this for my gf off Amazon. Seems to do the job. Picture quality seems like it's enough to get the job done for a starter dash cam. I've read some comments where people say even if you can see the license plate, to say it out loud so the audio catches it. I will tell this to her. Thanks for the video.
Customer service for this item is Horrible. The customer service note states they will get back to you in 12 hours, it has now been 3 weeks and nothing. Attempted to search for a firmware update but had no luck. It is almost a year so the warranty is about to expire. Next step is to contact Amazon to see if they can help. Save your money on the dashcam.
I got the same dash cam but its rebranded. It has potential but.. It failed to capture car License plates. (4k model btw) Frame rate is good but Video Quality is ass in my opinion T_T
A good question... The quality of the front facing camera I think is fine for most purposes, and the driver facing is probably okay too. So at first glance, for the price, probably yes. One thing I didn't mention in the video is it seemed to get very warm, so my opinion will change if it breaks in say less than a year... I am not sure yet that I will go to the trouble of figuring out how to mount the rear camera. I might actually try to tap into some console power rather than running the 12 volt cord around.
VLC - do a Google search for "VideoLAN VLC" to find it. This is a free video player that works with most formats. For editing videos, Adobe Premiere Elements. Thanks for watching!
It uses a microSD card, which can be ejected from the camera. I just put that into a microSD-to-USB adapter I already owned and plugged into the PC. No does not have WiFi.
I bought one and still trying to figure out how to record both front and inside view at the same time. I tried to google and all but still couldn’t find it. I can only record single front view or inside view at a time. Anyone here know how to do it?
I don't think that you can, I don't see playback in any of the menus. I think it designed to work like a "flight recorder" you have to recover the files later with an external device it just stores them.

even when powered off if you have parking guard on will will power on after a bump and record for 30 seconds. Kind of a nice feature.

I have to wonder if that rumble is related to the car it's in and the tires. A Honda fit, for example, has a lot more rumble than a Crown Vic.

worked out fine. the point is that they were just testing the power initially. that's not how it was set up in the car.
