Hi guys, During the virus (which is still here!) I tried to offer my channel as an escape from the anxiety it was causing. I tried not to mention it as much, and wanted to show life continuing. But with what is going on right now at home, it doesn’t feel right to show life continuing. That’s such a privilege in and of itself and while I do want to still provide a safe place where our minds can rest a little bit, I don’t know how. Should our minds even rest? I filmed and edited this a little over week ago and decided to wait to post, to use this past week to focus on supporting the Black community back home. Now, I would like the comment section to be a discussion space about content - is content like this taking up space? How can I continue to be an ally but also continue my work. I will continue to use especially Twitter and Instagram (since they seem to have better features as far as quickly sharing information) , but I want to make sure I’m doing the best I can on UA-cam too. Please let me know what you think about this! I’ll leave some resources here and please know that i will be donating 100% of the Adsense revenue for the month of May towards this fight for justice. I personally don't see a logical reason indicating that a person posting their own content in any way meaning them not caring about the rest (covid and/or black lives) of the things going on. You've obviously put your actions where your mouth is and donating your earning which is more than enough proof about what you care. Not that you have any obligation to prove what you care about to anyone.
i appreciate you skipping the wednesday post mainly because that's when videos taking advantage of youtube ads started popping up(so people would spend more time streaming that than UA-camrs) but now I'm personally really glad you posted this the past weekish has been extremely overwhelming and your video just provided 20 minutes to think about nothing other than how pretty nature is which i really needed also like you said i think its better to stick to sharing info on instagram/twitter mainly because youtubes set up doesn't really allow for sharing information quickly and easily
I think that all of your content transcends so much positivity and that it's like we get to experience things with you and I really think it's awesome that you shared anti-racism resources in this post.
I can’t speak for the black community, but I don’t feel like these kinds of videos are taking up space. We’re having a really tough time here in the US and I think videos like this are a good way to have a small escape from what we’re seeing on the news and on our socials. 15-20 minutes of escapism isn’t going to be detrimental to the work that we are all doing around the world. Please continue to show us the beauty of Korea ☺️
Cari, with all the heaviness going on in the world right now, I am HUGELY thankful for your beautiful, peaceful vlogs full of positivity. I don't feel they are taking up unnecessary space at all. My anxiety has been through the roof with the quarantine and recent upheaval, so I've even been going back through your older vids to help. Please continue doing what you do. It doesn't make you any less of an ally to the important causes being fought right now.
I was having a record Bad Day but caught myself smiling maybe ..11? times? throughout this video ? your vibes are off the charts thank you for your sweetness!
Cari, I just wanted to let you know how refreshing your channel is every video I watch! The way consumerism has taken over youtube and the internet as a whole gets old very quickly, I love that you really seem to appreciate the simple things in life. Watching you be happy about rain makes me happy lol
So much greenery! I miss the outdoors and trees so much rn! You don’t get too many big green spaces here in London. Love that I can experience it through your eyes/camera! ☺️🌸💕
Watching this is making me understand why I like cottagecore tiktok so much 😆😆 Nature, bread, books, Cari is literally cottagecore but in the middle of a big city lololol
I can’t speak for the black comunity but i feel like this isn’t taking up space, the internet is really big and theres room for everyone, i think that is important to give a little space to relax and recharge during the fight and your vlogs are perfect for that. They really are helping with my mental health, it’s a really positive escape especially considering that here in argentina we have an extremelly strict quarentine, i haven’t been outside of my house for almost 3 months and it’s been really hard. So thank you so much for being my connection with the outside world and given me and all your subscribers little moments of joy during this hard time
i've been staying away from instagram even before the protests but i saw the news anyway and it gave me so much anxiety so i decided to hold back & stay offline. have been trying my best to keep with the news and spread the words to make sure people know that i care about this matter, but idk why i'm afraid people would think that i don't, just because i haven't been using social media to talk about it. but your gesture is truly appreciated, Cari! i immediately knew why you postponed your upload, and you don't have to worry about your content, the entire world is having a tough time and in need of positivity & virtual escape (sorry for my rambling lmao gonna watch the vid and getting ready to take loads of screenshots as always!!). sending you love ❤️ and thanks for all of the links, will definitely check them out.
Your vlogs are my favorite escape! especially during these crazy times and especially this week has been so difficult for my mental health due to the current state of America. Thank you Cari, for making these vlogs sending you lots of love from Massachusetts!
너무 감사합니다 Cari! All I can say is I always look forward to your videos, they are always so calming & refreshing and I just love the way you capture things - especially nature like this. You keep doing you❣
hi cari! thank you for taking the time to vlog for us and making me feel like i'm traveling alongside you. since the start of quarantine i haven't been able to go out as much and i was missing the feeling of nature and small cafe's lol. with everything going on in the world i'd began to feel a bit hopeless but thank you for taking me on this beautiful adventure! xoxo, maya
" i didn't want to leave you on that kind of boring note" I didn't find it boring at all. Totally enjoyed your nature trail hiking. It's so calming and aesthetic 😌
Such a beautiful forest! Such calming vibes from you and your content! I love visiting parks when the weather is gloomy or raining since not alot of people are around. When I visited Manoa Falls in Hawaii and the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, the views were spectacular and the ambience was magical in the rain and the woods.
It’s so sad what it’s happening right now but to be honest it is enough with the news we see on tv , so if any UA-camr makes a video talking about something different I appreciate it. Because with the virus and everything I think it’s nice to see something positive
I really enjoy your videos! Especially at times like this because I can forget that I’m locked up at home. Watching your videos makes feel like I’m actually traveling and it’s so wholesome🤍 Take care!
I think you should keep creating your usual content here. 1. You already do a LOT to help by posting on Insta 2. It will allow you to a have a creative outlet, and will give you a bit of a break. As important as it is to keep the conversation going regarding these issues, I don’t think that you need to make all your content about it, or hesitate to show the life going on around you. Whether we like it or not, life as to go on while we are playing our part, playing our part should not become our whole life. On another note, another great video! I love when you allow us to discover yet another part of the city. Also, I’m so happy to hear about how successful your new project is!
thank you for these thoughts and i cant believe that i just found this place now after all the times i've climbed Ansan! Seoul is always surprising me :)
cari cakes Oh and, I know that the info won’t necessarily be useful for many subscribers, but thank you for the info about accessibility. I actually thought “ah crap!” when I saw the stairs lol
i literally went on a hike this morning and so many ajusshi were encouraging us along the way and even gave us snacks and makgeolli when we reached the top haha
I keep getting amazed by all the beautiful green locations considering it's Seoul :) cities tends to be so "grey" but this nature is absolutely stunning!
You really need to come to Tasmania, Australia when you can travel again as you would be absolutely blown away by the beautiful walks here. The bush (forest) is lush and stunning here.
What can i say...this is a very great content cari !...i absolutely love it and the way of editing fits well...trust me its not only calming what ive experience here..its also a therapy.... Btw the love and support viewers giving you is because you cari gives so much love in what you do...keep going by giving us great content 🤩
This was maaaaagical 😍 I'm putting this trail on my list for whenever I visit Korea. I, personally, do not believe you're negatively taking up space with content like this - although I cannot speak for everyone. Your videos are always so peaceful, and full of light and hope. And I think that's something that people need, especially in these times. I've been seeing a lot of posts on instagram about burnout for activists, and how that can eventually make you leave the movement, and that it's important to take a break, and come back stronger to continue the fight. As is true for a lot of things in life. This is a fight we need to see through to the finish line, to see some real, fundamental change in the system. So if everyone takes a little break now and then, but comes back and continues, hopefully *fingers crossed* that change will come and be the new, better normal. Ever since I found your videos in August, they have been a constant source of inspiration and calm - and I know that's true for all your subscribers too. So I hope you continue to make your wonderful content ❤️ Let me know if you want me to forward you those posts!
im always really active on instagram so if you're ever worried just check there ;) if im not on there, THEN i've probably been taken by the fairies hahahah
Wow! Amazing! Ansan was my Saturday morning to go with my parents when I was little. And I can imagine when you said it's magical and a little bit scary something like you are surrounded greens and overwhelmed by its sound on a rainy day in the forest alone.
Your videos have always been a pause of joy in what is becoming a harsher world so please don't feel bad about posting. We need a little peace and joy these days. I'm also happy to hear someone else takes their bed during monthly's lol I thought I was just weird.
Your content heals my soul and after watching so many videos about police brutality and the issues at hand I really really needed this green, magical, ghibli-esque respite. Thank you!
Your vlogs have helped me to feel so much better about not being able to leave my hours for almost 3 months now, thank you so much! i'm always looking forward to them. 🥺 you have such a pretty vibe and soul
glad to have your content back!!! also i’ve been following your instagram stories and i think your support of the movement is awesome! thank you for using your platform for good!
These videos are awesome. You got to hike through Narnia and enjoy a tea with an awesome view on the roof of a high rise. It's such a nice change from the current malaise. It reminds us that this too shall pass.
I like to imagine the trees are looking out for me when in a forest and that way I don’t feel afraid! I did go into my local forest in the evening the other day though and found it a little spooky. Especially when it’s quiet with no birdsong and you are acutely aware of every sound! The rainstorm was probably just a freak shower but let’s just say it was the faeries 🌿✨
Sweet 17-minute escape from reality (from all the chaos that has been happening in the past few days). 💚 Well, we are still not allowed to go out here in my country which is really sad and depressing. 😢 So yeah, this video really does saved me from being consumed by all the negativities in this world. Thank you for the lovely content, Cari! 💚
Awwwww, thanks for this! I'm still completely indoors (recreationally, I still work and do other important things outside but only what needs to be done, not for enjoyment) and these virtual nature walks are making my day. The way you shoot/ edit so much detail makes me feel like I'm there and that's much needed/ really appreciated right now. 👍❤️
Thank you for these videos cari :) they bring a smile and peace to me during these weird times. Super excited about your necklace collaboration, ordered one. Can't wait to get it :)
Ugh i so needed this vlog this morning! I'm on day 79 of quarantine in London i only leave once a week for food and honestly forgetting what life is like at this point! thank you for bringing me some Energy to pull myself together
I was totally convinced you were going to eat those fairy strawberries and the fairies would then be able to reclaim you as their fairy queen! So glad you weren't tempted.
wow the trees protecting you from the rain is so special and magical!!! provincial parks recently re-opened here in ontario, and it's been so amazing having green space and nature to walk in. so glad there's such a beautiful and accessible nature walk near where you live!
Cari your vidéos have been the only thing getting me through family issues, anxiety, and everything else happening right now. Thank you for being you. You mean so much to me.
I had no idea how much i actually needed this. Past few days have been very hard for me, not just because of the blm thing but im going to do exams to high school tomorrow and im scared i'll screw up. Your video calmed me down and brightened up my day. Thank you Cari i love u ! ❤
Hi Cari! I’ve been binge watching a bunch of your videos lately and you make me truly miss Korea. Funny story.. last time I visited in fall 2018, my friend brought me to Yeonnam. We walked through the neighborhood and came across this cute brunch restaurant which we ended up eating at. I wasn’t able to remember the name but as I’ve watched your vlogs if you visiting that area, I’ve been hoping to see that brunch spot. Turns out it’s Grain😂 anyways, going to continue watching your videos. Much love from Hawaii❤️🌺
I love being in nature but because of the lockdown I can only look out from my window to see the outside world. This is such a healing vlog. Thank you, cari for taking us with you❤️
The trail in the forest gave me Kafka on the shore vibes. 🌺 For the last week, it's been raining like crazy so I'm happy that your video was full of sunshine!!
I can't speak for everyone but I personally don't feel that content like this is taking up space, the internet is a big place! But it would be great if you could use your platform to keep spreading awareness, maybe by adding in small updates in your videos of a few of the measures you've taken in the time that has passed? Or discussing a book you're reading, have read (and any other resources) on any of the current issues. Loved the video, content like this is always welcome ☺️
All the natural scenery is so nice! Also that mystical forest moment with the rain! It seems so nice with the warmth since it has been so cold over here and I’m not enjoying it ahaha
All that greenery just makes me wish to sit down there and read a book and paint a peaceful scene. I guess nature just makes the artist beneath us flourish. Amazing and inspiring video as always!!
love the video! a beautiful, refreshing vid to take a break from the anxiety- inducing media (though i believe in being informed, it’s okay to take mental health breaks)! much love as always 💛💛
I've been traveling alone to Seoul at least once a year since 2015. And usually now is the time of the year where I'll binge watch your vlogs and jot down all the places I can go. With this year's list getting postponed to next year, Imma need to spend a lot longer than my usual 2 weeks.
I love your content! Your videos are full of positivity during these stressful times. Thank you so much for donating towards the cause. I hope that you keep posting content because it makes us happy 💖
I loved joining you on your hike. I could almost smell the greenery and rain! Also want to thank you Cari for using your platform to educate and fight alongside the Black community ✊🏾.
This vlog was needed! I have been feeling a little down lately with everything going on, so it was nice to take a little break and get lost in the video. 🥰
hey cari! i just wanted to say thank you for this video & for mentioning accessibility when you went on your walk ✨🧚 I use a wheelchair & i always see places that look so beautiful but are ultimately inaccessible & it’s a lil disheartening sometimes. so thank you for mentioning that!! if i ever get to visit korea, i definitely want to check those trails out!!
this hiking trail looks great for me~ also I love how its covered in so many trees! perfect for summer if you want to be active but also escape the sun lol 🌞
You may know about Seoul better than me who have lived for 30 years since I was born there. I can't believe this quiet trail is in Seoul, and I'd love to be on Ansan Jarakgil sooner or later. Thank you for sharing a secret place.
I got really emotional when watching you walk around Seonjeongneung, I was there in April last year and it was the most beautiful space. I also left my phone on a bench whilst reading and had to run all the way back haha. I can't wait for the day I can go back to Korea

I am really thankful that you make content for us like this
I personally don't see a logical reason indicating that a person posting their own content in any way meaning them not caring about the rest (covid and/or black lives) of the things going on. You've obviously put your actions where your mouth is and donating your earning which is more than enough proof about what you care. Not that you have any obligation to prove what you care about to anyone.
i appreciate you skipping the wednesday post mainly because that's when videos taking advantage of youtube ads started popping up(so people would spend more time streaming that than UA-camrs) but now I'm personally really glad you posted this the past weekish has been extremely overwhelming and your video just provided 20 minutes to think about nothing other than how pretty nature is which i really needed

This whole week , Ive been waiting for a new video of you Cari , pls continue your content like this. thank you.✨💗
I can’t speak for the black community, but I don’t feel like these kinds of videos are taking up space. I was having a record Bad Day but caught myself smiling maybe ..11? times? throughout this video ? your vibes are off the charts thank you for your sweetness!
hope your day keeps getting better!!
I LOVE The Tea Collective. Can’t wait to go back to Seoul and go there 😊 thanks for all of your hard work and showing us cool places in Korea ❤️
awww thank you! it was actually your japan vlogs that inspired me to start this channel so really, this vid is thanks to you ;)
Cari, I just wanted to let you know how refreshing your channel is every video I watch! The way consumerism has taken over youtube and the internet as a whole gets old very quickly, I love that you really seem to appreciate the simple things in life. Watching you be happy about rain makes me happy lol
thank you so much!! corny, but the best things in life really are free haha
the nature i need in my life and i never knew i would be one to say that LOL
hahaha we all need a little green :)
So much greenery! I miss the outdoors and trees so much rn! You don’t get too many big green spaces here in London. Love that I can experience it through your eyes/camera! ☺️🌸💕
i still cant believe this is in seoul, like 15 min from hongdae. Seoul is incredible!
Watching this is making me understand why I like cottagecore tiktok so much 😆😆 Nature, bread, books, Cari is literally cottagecore but in the middle of a big city lololol
hahahhaha i just need an actual cottage tho! i want my own garden so badly
I can’t speak for the black comunity but i feel like this isn’t taking up space, the internet is really big and theres room for everyone, i think that is important to give a little space to relax and recharge during the fight and your vlogs are perfect for that. hope we're all able to safely visit nature again soon! thank you for coming along :)
all the shots are literally breathtaking
hahah so fast!
" i didn't want to leave you on that kind of boring note" I didn't find it boring at all. Totally enjoyed your nature trail hiking. It's so calming and aesthetic 😌
that forest was so other-worldly, it felt as if you stumbled upon a portal to a parallel universe where you experienced your own Ghibli movie 🌿🍃
right?! i was concerned that i wouldnt be able to find my way home hahhaa
Such a beautiful forest! Such calming vibes from you and your content! I love visiting parks when the weather is gloomy or raining since not alot of people are around. I really enjoy your videos! Especially at times like this because I can forget that I’m locked up at home. Watching your videos makes feel like I’m actually traveling and it’s so wholesome🤍 Take care!
thanks for coming along with me 💕
I think you should keep creating your usual content here.
1. You already do a LOT to help by posting on Insta
2. It will allow you to a have a creative outlet, and will give you a bit of a break. As important as it is to keep the conversation going regarding these issues, I don’t think that you need to make all your content about it, or hesitate to show the life going on around you. This was maaaaagical 😍 I'm putting this trail on my list for whenever I visit Korea.

Let me know if you want me to forward you those posts!
All this greenery brought me peace of mind just by looking, thank you!
I’m so glad you posted, I was beginning to worry! Yesterday I was literally like “I hope Cari is okay🥺” and now here you are 😂❤️
im always really active on instagram so if you're ever worried just check there ;) if im not on there, THEN i've probably been taken by the fairies hahahah

Your vlogs always make me feel so happy and peaceful! 💛🌱☀️ Looks like a really lovely few days!
thank you always^^~
glad to have your content back!!! also i’ve been following your instagram stories and i think your support of the movement is awesome! thank you for using your platform for good!

You're back! I missed you🥺💜

I was totally convinced you were going to eat those fairy strawberries and the fairies would then be able to reclaim you as their fairy queen! So glad you weren't tempted.
This was exactly what my soul needed. THANK YOU!
The sound of the birds was so wonderful! Literally such a magical place
that plus the rain sound made it the perfect sountrack!
wow the trees protecting you from the rain is so special and magical!!! provincial parks recently re-opened here in ontario, and it's been so amazing having green space and nature to walk in. so glad there's such a beautiful and accessible nature walk near where you live!
it was so surreal to walk in the downpour without getting wet! glad you're able to access nature again too!!
Magical, I'm jealous, love your flogs,so calming and refreshing and definitely not taking unnecessary space, much appreciated. Thank you
I love thisss! 😍 So many trees and greens. 💚💚💚

Cari your vidéos have been the only thing getting me through family issues, anxiety, and everything else happening right now. Thank you for being you. You mean so much to me.
I really love all the trees coming up through the path! 🥰
same!! it really made me feel like i was walking through the trees even though the path was so separate :)
Ohh, I didn't realize it was supposed to be wheelchair accessible... I hope it is! That would be so cool!
Those flowers at the end looked like jasmine to me! Love your vlogs, always a bright spot in my day :)
Yout videos are so peaceful and calming and happy... you always have me smiling in the mist genuine way. Thank you so much for doing what you do 😊💜
When I'm stressed, I love coming watch your videos. It makes me relax. This video, I love nature very much. As he said natural therapy.😍✨😳
These videos pacify my wanderlust just enough for me to hold out until my next adventure, Thank you
thank you for uploading this in chaotic times like these. This was one of your most beautiful vlog! the forest and the rain was truly magical!
I love being in nature but because of the lockdown I can only look out from my window to see the outside world. This is such a healing vlog. Thank you, cari for taking us with you❤️
After watching your channel, I told my sister about 안산 and asked her to visit this place. Thank you
Thank you for posting your videos. They are a respite from all crazy things going on. Congratulations on the success of your jewelry!!!!

Nature is so magical 😭💖 cant wait to visit that trail someday!!
This video give me so much peace!
I'm from Mexico and we are still in quarentine, I'm willing to go out and have this kind of walk! ✨💞
The meta-sequoias are sooo beautiful 😍
right?! literally breath taking!
Loved the video, content like this is always welcome ☺️
thank you!!
All the natural scenery is so nice! Also that mystical forest moment with the rain! It seems so nice with the warmth since it has been so cold over here and I’m not enjoying it ahaha
i really couldnt believe it! it was like a rain cloud came out of nowhere hahah
All that greenery just makes me wish to sit down there and read a book and paint a peaceful scene. I guess nature just makes the artist beneath us flourish. Amazing and inspiring video as always!!
truly!!!
Your videos are always so calming and cozy. I love the vibes you give
💕💕
love the video! a beautiful, refreshing vid to take a break from the anxiety- inducing media (though i believe in being informed, it’s okay to take mental health breaks)! much love as always 💛💛
sending love right back at you!!
I hope that you keep posting content because it makes us happy 💖
thank you always!
I loved joining you on your hike. I could almost smell the greenery and rain! Also want to thank you Cari for using your platform to educate and fight alongside the Black community ✊🏾.

hey cari! i just wanted to say thank you for this video & for mentioning accessibility when you went on your walk ✨🧚 I use a wheelchair & i always see places that look so beautiful but are ultimately inaccessible & it’s a lil disheartening sometimes. so thank you for mentioning that!! if i ever get to visit korea, i definitely want to check those trails out!!
this hiking trail looks great for me~ also I love how its covered in so many trees! perfect for summer if you want to be active but also escape the sun lol 🌞
Beautiful vlog. You videos bring so much peace and tranquility in a very crazy time. Thanks for sharing!💜💜
This was such a peaceful video, thank you Cari 🌲🌿 I really needed this this week as I think most people have x
Your hair against the green of the trees is GORGEOUS, I wish my ginger hair was as red, unfortunately I fall more into the strawberry blonde category

you are adorable! and the greenery healed me 🥺
I loved the greenry. I always thought that Seoul had a lot of green spaces. Thank you for introducing me to these spaces.
this city never fails to amaze me!
I can't wait for the day I can go back to Korea
hahahha hope you're back soon!!
you ARE a forest fairy!!🌱🌿🍃🍀 green is your colour!! 👌😄 it's such a beautiful place~
hehehe its those irish genes!!!
