I lived with a beautiful young woman, she could cook like a chef, great sense of humour, loyal to a fault, sincere and totally honest. She lacked sophistication. She wanted to marry me. I had just started up a business that I was confident would succeed. She wanted to get married. I could see that in the future, socializing with snobbish people, they would chew her up and spit her out. So, fool that I was, I broke it off. Now I'm stuck in a loveless marriage, in a lovely home that somehow seems hollow, a wife that is just waiting for me to die. Breaking up with that young woman was the stupidest thing I ever did in my life. I may be a millionaire now but all the friends I thought I had, disappeared when I retired.

Read between the lines here, he's embarrassed in his social/work circle when he takes her out, and that is what's causing his concern. He obviously interacts with highly educated, successful co-workers, and she doesn't match up. He's worried about his "stature" within his group when it's obvious to them that he married listening only to the little head, not the big one. He has to decide how important it is for him to be respected within his social circle (do his friends look down on him for choosing a sexy gal instead of an accomplished one?). And does he therefore also look down on HER for her lack of functioning? If so, eventually his latent condescending attitude will show in that he'll treat her only as if she is dumb, rather than admiring her for the desirable qualities that she brings to the marriage. He seems egotistical, considering that he has two kids from a previous marriage, doesn't want the responsibility of more kids (no mention of if she ever wanted kids), and has enforced sterilization on this young girl as part of what will make "him" happy (will she regret that decision?). Seems like this was an arranged business marriage, with the daughter of a colleague, so that this socially restricted girl could be taken care of in adult life. And if he was truly helping her in high school (he would have been in his early 30s), well that's just sick. My advice, if he really wants to keep her, is to encourage her to become educated, attend a college, and help her to grow. She doesn't have kids, so why not? If all she does is to wait on him hand and foot, he'll tire of it and she will outgrow it, too.

I'd like to know where he got that IQ from. If he had to do her homework for her then he already knew intellect was not her forte. He should't complain too much. If he's patient he can probably teach her some simple things to help her as well, but he should count his blessings. He could get a woman who is an 8 yet essentially tell him to man up and take care of himself when he's sick, speak her mind and really embarrass him in front of his friends, in short...there is always a trade off. I worked with a girl at a restaurant who was like 28 years old and got “locked” in the cooler. She was trying to pull the door open and panicked thinking it’s locked when it wouldn’t budge. All she had to do the whole time was push it open.

The dumb kids thing is something of a myth. High IQ genes tend to dominate low IQ genes unless you start having kids when you are a woman over 30. In my family my father was brilliant, spoke several languages and rose to VP of a Fortune 500 company after topping out in the government. He married my mother, who is a dumb as a brick, when he was 18, during the end of WWII. She was a long legged virginal stunner who did whatever he wanted. He pumped out four kids with her in eight years while being a sadist fuck to everyone involved. Here's the family IQ. Father 135, mother 70, first kid 95, second kid 120, third kid 130, fourth kid 110. All the kids are secure and successful, two very successful, despite having to raise themselves after our dad split when we were kids "because my mother was stupid". Happy ending: my father married again to an young, ugly, domineering, lazy bitch that forced him to have another family and she cheats on him. I don't know her IQ but I'd be amazed if it's over 100.

I'm not 6'3" and ripped, but I did marry a woman who has a low IQ and it is making life very difficult. On top of it she is stubborn and defensive. Navigating life requires problems to be solved and to co-ordinate as a couple and I constantly feel like I'm doing everything alone with one arm tied behind my back and an ungrateful, unhelpful, low IQ wife. I am the sole income provider and whenever she makes a mistake she gets very defensive and can't learn from her mistakes. Some days I feel life is not worth living
My wife is not so bright either, always hard to explain or convince of anything that doesn't match her mind print from when she was 15. And I am happy to be in charge but I hate that I have to make so many corrections around the home as if I'm dealing with a child. But a less intelligent woman will generally be more submissive which is a huge plus. You can't get everything. It's still better than a pushy wife who is smart but is argumentative and rude.

Let’s go through some very important factors here: Does she share your values? Is she a good mother to your kids? Is she supportive of you and always there for you? Has she made sacrifices that prove her commitment to you that most women wouldn’t? If she fills in all the boxes, nothing else really matters. Because she’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, is that justification to not be supportive of her after all she’s sacrificed for you? So many men would kill for such traits listed above. She sounds like she could be an excellent housewife. Give her a chance and don’t let a sense of hubris cloud your judgement. Be humble and greatful that you didn’t snag a thankless harpy that will try to claw her way to your bank account.
I had coworker who married a semi good looking girl with a very low IQ. The problem he had was they were having trouble making ends meet. He was working two fulltime jobs and having a rough time supporting their family. But, because his wife was so dumb, she couldn't work, or wouldn't. So he couldn't depend on her for any income at all. And he was slowly going INSANE working 16 hour days. The guy who wrote the email sounds like he's financially set, so having a particularly bright wife who can earn some bucks isn't necessary. My coworkers problem was that he was broke. And marrying a dumb girl bit him in the ass.

I am 65 now and can still turn heads when I walk into a room. Some years ago I cautiously started to date a smoke'n hot, white haired, blue eyed woman my same age. She was not very bright and she had the body girls in their twenties wish they had. Nice soft smooth skin and tight. She wanted to do everything she could to please me. I don't mean this in a derogatory way when I say she was loyal to me like a dog. Every time, she greeted me at the door with a big smile on her face, glad to see me like a dog wagging its tail, dressed to kill, and had the body to do it. Wrapped her arms around me and gave me a big long hug. I just loved looking at her and watching her walk around the house in her short shiny silk evening jacket with legs that just wouldn’t quit. She would do what ever I wanted her to do without question (use your imagination guys), I had to be careful what I told her to do because she might hurt herself trying to please me, she looked at me with the trusting eyes of a dog, go where ever I wanted to go without complaining, wear whatever I told her to wear, cook what she thought I might like. She didn’t seem to notice if I was spending money on her or not. We could stay home and watch a movie or go out on a cheap or expensive date and it didn’t seem to matter to her either way. She started to become more and more emotionally dependent on me like child would be. It was crazy, but like I said, she wasn’t very bright and lacking in social skills. That showed up at restaurants and parties with my friends. She didn’t seem to have many friends if any and wasn’t able to hold a conversation. She was soft spoken and hardly ever talked at all. If someone asked her a question or would give her a compliment which she often got, she would respond with an answer or say thank you, but offered nothing more to the “conversation”. She would often look at me for her cues when we were out. She hardly said a word to me when we would be driving in the car, eating dinner, or sitting in her living room watching a movie. My guy friends knew what was up and seemed to envy me. Women looked at this and I am not sure what they were thinking about it all. I started to get a little embarrassed about this and I sometimes wish I hadn’t because it led to me breaking up with her. I remember taking her to the office Christmas party and she was looking hot as usual. She wore a long loose-fitting dress, but you could tell she had a kick ass shape underneath that dress. She portrayed all the social traits I’ve already told you and also followed me around like a little puppy dog that was afraid of all the new people in the room. I very gently and tenderly broke it off with her over a series of weeks/months. It would have just been too much for her if I had just left and was there in her life one day and then gone the next. I was able to friend zone her and remain friends with her to this day. She understands that we are no longer “dating” anymore and I am more like a big brother to her at this point and protecting her from those that might take advantage of her not just physically as I did to some degree, but also emotionally, financially, and otherwise. Over the years she has gotten even worse as far as her social skills, now has professional help, sold her home, and now lives in a very nice assisted living establishment. She has become more lethargic and basically stays in her room all day and only comes out to eat. I check on her on week days just to keep the staff on their toes. Even now at this age she is still looking good and it’s not just me looking at her through my eyes, others also remark how attractive she is. I’ll keep looking out for her as long as I can and as long as she is around. I don’t know what else to say, but that’s my story.

Us younger men need to remember that we are all people, and we need to assess situations individually, and not become as crazy and single minded as feminists.
It seems to me that the gentleman in question thinks highly of himself and that he really got what he wanted in a woman. Something tells me that such a person does not necessarily want a partner of equal intelligence, but he also doesn't want the embarrassment of dealing with such a woman either. Regardless, no marriage is ever perfect so I'd say just to focus on her good qualities and overlook her flaw
She ticks all the boxes of what he wants except iq. An intelligent woman would not want him anyway. Talking someone into getting their tubes tied. The low iq is probably the main reason why she is so compliant. She wants other people to make her LIFE decissions because she knows she is not smart. And she is heavily moulded by her parents who want someone to take care of her.
This sounds like how I have come to learn how my grand parents were. My grand father was a successful business man with several employees and properties and was a pretty handsome dude going from the pictures I saw of him in his younger days. My grand mother was as dumb as a door knob but at least they both acknowledged this. My grand mother loved her family though, loved cooking, church, gardening, etc..(she knew her place), My grandfather loved business, snooker, guys stuff and his family too. They were the only couple I ever met that celebrated a 81st wedding anniversary. My grandfather told me on his death bed in tears that his wife, my grand mother, was stupid. He went on further to explain to me that it takes a lot more character to love a stupid women than a smart women. I knew he loved his wife dearly. All the family knew that and we all knew that it took a lot for him to love and accept her the way she was. Actually, they way he stood by her side and protected her when her illogical arguments with her kids and grand kids were taking place was a lesson in love I think our entire family will remember. Anyway, I think these women today are too smart for their own damn good. Today's women can role a blunt but can barely cook a meal. Me personally, I have weakness for sweetness. I'd take her if she is poor & stupid but sweet, kind, caring and nurturing(and good looking like the guy describes) any day over these smart, degree'd up women that think their shit don't stink. I had smart and stupid and naturally where ones fails, the other succeeds. My guess is if its long term, life time that you're looking for. Greater chances of success are probably, somewhere along the lines of my grand fathers thinking.
I have a few observations that could help: 1) The husband is embarrassed of what other people think of his wife because she is a reflection of him (like it or not). From the intelligence of his wife, the public judge him through her and he feels frustrated and embarrassed by it. This is similar to smart parents not having bright children - the parents believe that they did something wrong and they are dumbfounded by the reality that such an important extension of them does not live up to their high standards of intellectual abilities. 2) The husband feels powerless, something that he is not used to because he can dominate at work and with his own personal health and body. But he cannot control the intellectual capabilities of his wife. He is searching for help, what can he himself do to make her smart. 3) The Alpha Male likes dominance and others to be submissive (respectful and do what they are told). The husband is proud to have a young stunning woman by his side as other male look upon him to be a leader not only in the workplace but also in his personal life. Therefore, the husband feels that his leadership will be challenged without the respect of other people towards his queen. 4) Given that he is embarrassed and that he is an Alpha Male who is in control of everything but not in this situation, I recommend that he starts giving his wife the space and support she needs to become an Alpha Female in her own right. That way, his wife will be able to take control of her own learning and desire to be intellectually respected. She will still stay submissive because her IQ of 71 will never beat his. But if he takes up all the space for her to develop into a confident and strong person, how could she ever develop the ability to ask questions, take charge, act as a leader, command her own voice and will - all necessary for a person to become intelligent. He can start to talk to her about intellectual subjects in simple terms and have the respect and belief in her to understand. Ask her questions and encourage her to ask questions and be curious about the world. If what he portrays to her is that he cares mostly about her beauty, then she will make that her top priority. And it seems that she has. He really just cares about her intelligence when they are out in public. Thus, make intellectual discussions and learning be a top priority in the private life as well, and I believe you will see a difference in how she will transform. She wants to make the husband happy, and if he is happy and smiles when discussing intellectual subjects with her, and he is happy when she contributes back to the conversation, then he will feel proud of her progress throughout life even if she is not the smartest person out in public. I can almost promise you that the public will notice that she makes learning and intellectual discussions a top priority in her private life as you make it a top priority for your family culture. Goal: support her confidence and help her develop Alpha Female characteristics (don't worry, she will stay submissive given her low IQ), and make it a top priority in your private life to have intellectual discussions (perhaps enroll her in a class that she really enjoys to help her develop her own voice and contribute to intellectual conversations).

Ok going to give this guy my recommendation on a similar experience. I was dating a women who was 20 years younger than me. We both lied about our ages when we first met and based on the lies we were only 10 years difference. Funny how this guy used the phrase "dumb as a box of rocks" because that is how I use to describe my ex girlfriend. Same situation, hot, terrific shape and really sweet person. The problem is after you date or marry someone like this, everything is a step back. Not as good looking, not as sweet (good heart). At least she realizes she is not that smart and allows you to make the decisions, because there is nothing more annoying than a dumb person who thinks they know everything. The good heart is the most difficult characteristic to find in women and that is what he needs to realize. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

My Dad works as an Architectural Director, he is a city man and a hard-working person. My Mom is a housewife, a village woman, has a fairly low IQ, barely finished high school, and sacrificed everything for her family. They are the best couple alive imo.

Damn, I just got PTSD flashbacks of my ex. It sounds great on paper, but you will feel completely alone and isolated in your relationship. As the years go on looks fade, and it will be hard to be attracted to a girl you have to constantly do all the thinking for. Trust me, you can't fix stupid, I tried everything to help her learn and improve, but she was not interested. She has no incentive to improve when all her financial/security needs are met by you. Read between the lines here, he's embarrassed in his social/work circle when he takes her out, and that is what's causing his concern. He obviously interacts with highly educated, successful co-workers, and she doesn't match up. He's worried about his "stature" within his group when it's obvious to them that he married listening only to the little head, not the big one. He has to decide how important it is for him to be respected within his social circle (do his friends look down on him for choosing a sexy gal instead of an accomplished one?). And does he therefore also look down on HER for her lack of functioning? If so, eventually his latent condescending attitude will show in that he'll treat her only as if she is dumb, rather than admiring her for the desirable qualities that she brings to the marriage.

And if he was truly helping her in high school (he would have been in his early 30s), well that's just sick. My advice, if he really wants to keep her, is to encourage her to become educated, attend a college, and help her to grow. She doesn't have kids, so why not? If all she does is to wait on him hand and foot, he'll tire of it and she will outgrow it, too.

The dumb kids thing is something of a myth. High IQ genes tend to dominate low IQ genes unless you start having kids when you are a woman over 30. In my family my father was brilliant, spoke several languages and rose to VP of a Fortune 500 company after topping out in the government. He married my mother, who is a dumb as a brick, when he was 18, during the end of WWII. She was a long legged virginal stunner who did whatever he wanted. I'm not 6'3" and ripped, but I did marry a woman who has a low IQ and it is making life very difficult. On top of it she is stubborn and defensive. Navigating life requires problems to be solved and to co-ordinate as a couple and I constantly feel like I'm doing everything alone with one arm tied behind my back and an ungrateful, unhelpful, low IQ wife. I am the sole income provider and whenever she makes a mistake she gets very defensive and can't learn from her mistakes. Some days I feel life is not worth living

I had coworker who married a semi good looking girl with a very low IQ. The problem he had was they were having trouble making ends meet. He was working two fulltime jobs and having a rough time supporting their family. But, because his wife was so dumb, she couldn't work, or wouldn't. So he couldn't depend on her for any income at all. And he was slowly going INSANE working 16 hour days.

I am 65 now and can still turn heads when I walk into a room. Some years ago I cautiously started to date a smoke'n hot, white haired, blue eyed woman my same age.
She was not very bright and she had the body girls in their twenties wish they had. Nice soft smooth skin and tight. She wanted to do everything she could to please me. I don't mean this in a derogatory way when I say she was loyal to me like a dog.
Every time, she greeted me at the door with a big smile on her face, glad to see me like a dog wagging its tail, dressed to kill, and had the body to do it. Wrapped her arms around me and gave me a big long hug. I just loved looking at her and watching her walk around the house in her short shiny silk evening jacket with legs that just wouldn’t quit.
She would do what ever I wanted her to do without question (use your imagination guys), I had to be careful what I told her to do because she might hurt herself trying to please me, she looked at me with the trusting eyes of a dog, go where ever I wanted to go without complaining, wear whatever I told her to wear, cook what she thought I might like. She didn’t seem to notice if I was spending money on her or not. We could stay home and watch a movie or go out on a cheap or expensive date and it didn’t seem to matter to her either way.
She started to become more and more emotionally dependent on me like child would be.
It was crazy, but like I said, she wasn’t very bright and lacking in social skills. That showed up at restaurants and parties with my friends. She didn’t seem to have many friends if any and wasn’t able to hold a conversation. She was soft spoken and hardly ever talked at all. If someone asked her a question or would give her a compliment which she often got, she would respond with an answer or say thank you, but offered nothing more to the “conversation”. She would often look at me for her cues when we were out. She hardly said a word to me when we would be driving in the car, eating dinner, or sitting in her living room watching a movie.
My guy friends knew what was up and seemed to envy me. Women looked at this and I am not sure what they were thinking about it all.
I started to get a little embarrassed about this and I sometimes wish I hadn’t because it led to me breaking up with her.
I remember taking her to the office Christmas party and she was looking hot as usual. She wore a long loose-fitting dress, but you could tell she had a kick ass shape underneath that dress. She portrayed all the social traits I’ve already told you and also followed me around like a little puppy dog that was afraid of all the new people in the room.
I very gently and tenderly broke it off with her over a series of weeks/months. It would have just been too much for her if I had just left and was there in her life one day and then gone the next. I was able to friend zone her and remain friends with her to this day. She understands that we are no longer “dating” anymore and I am more like a big brother to her at this point and protecting her from those that might take advantage of her not just physically as I did to some degree, but also emotionally, financially, and otherwise.
Over the years she has gotten even worse as far as her social skills, now has professional help, sold her home, and now lives in a very nice assisted living establishment. She has become more lethargic and basically stays in her room all day and only comes out to eat. I check on her on week days just to keep the staff on their toes. Even now at this age she is still looking good and it’s not just me looking at her through my eyes, others also remark how attractive she is. I’ll keep looking out for her as long as I can and as long as she is around.
I don’t know what else to say, but that’s my story.

It seems to me that the gentleman in question thinks highly of himself and that he really got what he wanted in a woman. Something tells me that such a person does not necessarily want a partner of equal intelligence, but he also doesn't want the embarrassment of dealing with such a woman either. Regardless, no marriage is ever perfect so I'd say just to focus on her good qualities and overlook her flaw
She ticks all the boxes of what he wants except iq. An intelligent woman would not want him anyway. Talking someone into getting their tubes tied. The low iq is probably the main reason why she is so compliant. She wants other people to make her LIFE decissions because she knows she is not smart. And she is heavily moulded by her parents who want someone to take care of her.
This sounds like how I have come to learn how my grand parents were. My grand father was a successful business man with several employees and properties and was a pretty handsome dude going from the pictures I saw of him in his younger days. My grand mother was as dumb as a door knob but at least they both acknowledged this. My grand mother loved her family though, loved cooking, church, gardening, etc..(she knew her place), My grandfather loved business, snooker, guys stuff and his family too. They were the only couple I ever met that celebrated a 81st wedding anniversary. My grandfather told me on his death bed in tears that his wife, my grand mother, was stupid. He went on further to explain to me that it takes a lot more character to love a stupid women than a smart women. I knew he loved his wife dearly. All the family knew that and we all knew that it took a lot for him to love and accept her the way she was. Actually, they way he stood by her side and protected her when her illogical arguments with her kids and grand kids were taking place was a lesson in love I think our entire family will remember. Anyway, I think these women today are too smart for their own damn good. Today's women can role a blunt but can barely cook a meal. Me personally, I have weakness for sweetness. I'd take her if she is poor & stupid but sweet, kind, caring and nurturing(and good looking like the guy describes) any day over these smart, degree'd up women that think their shit don't stink. I had smart and stupid and naturally where ones fails, the other succeeds. My guess is if its long term, life time that you're looking for. Greater chances of success are probably, somewhere along the lines of my grand fathers thinking.

I have a few observations that could help:
1) The husband is embarrassed of what other people think of his wife because she is a reflection of him (like it or not). From the intelligence of his wife, the public judge him through her and he feels frustrated and embarrassed by it. This is similar to smart parents not having bright children - the parents believe that they did something wrong and they are dumbfounded by the reality that such an important extension of them does not live up to their high standards of intellectual abilities.
2) The husband feels powerless, something that he is not used to because he can dominate at work and with his own personal health and body. But he cannot control the intellectual capabilities of his wife. He is searching for help, what can he himself do to make her smart.
3) The Alpha Male likes dominance and others to be submissive (respectful and do what they are told). The husband is proud to have a young stunning woman by his side as other male look upon him to be a leader not only in the workplace but also in his personal life. Therefore, the husband feels that his leadership will be challenged without the respect of other people towards his queen.
4) Given that he is embarrassed and that he is an Alpha Male who is in control of everything but not in this situation, I recommend that he starts giving his wife the space and support she needs to become an Alpha Female in her own right. That way, his wife will be able to take control of her own learning and desire to be intellectually respected. She will still stay submissive because her IQ of 71 will never beat his. But if he takes up all the space for her to develop into a confident and strong person, how could she ever develop the ability to ask questions, take charge, act as a leader, command her own voice and will - all necessary for a person to become intelligent. He can start to talk to her about intellectual subjects in simple terms and have the respect and belief in her to understand. Ask her questions and encourage her to ask questions and be curious about the world. If what he portrays to her is that he cares mostly about her beauty, then she will make that her top priority. And it seems that she has. He really just cares about her intelligence when they are out in public. Thus, make intellectual discussions and learning be a top priority in the private life as well, and I believe you will see a difference in how she will transform. She wants to make the husband happy, and if he is happy and smiles when discussing intellectual subjects with her, and he is happy when she contributes back to the conversation, then he will feel proud of her progress throughout life even if she is not the smartest person out in public. I can almost promise you that the public will notice that she makes learning and intellectual discussions a top priority in her private life as you make it a top priority for your family culture.
Goal: support her confidence and help her develop Alpha Female characteristics (don't worry, she will stay submissive given her low IQ), and make it a top priority in your private life to have intellectual discussions (perhaps enroll her in a class that she really enjoys to help her develop her own voice and contribute to intellectual conversations).

Ok going to give this guy my recommendation on a similar experience. I was dating a women who was 20 years younger than me. We both lied about our ages when we first met and based on the lies we were only 10 years difference. Funny how this guy used the phrase "dumb as a box of rocks" because that is how I use to describe my ex girlfriend. Same situation, hot, terrific shape and really sweet person. The problem is after you date or marry someone like this, everything is a step back. Not as good looking, not as sweet (good heart). Damn, I just got PTSD flashbacks of my ex. It sounds great on paper, but you will feel completely alone and isolated in your relationship. As the years go on looks fade, and it will be hard to be attracted to a girl you have to constantly do all the thinking for. Trust me, you can't fix stupid, I tried everything to help her learn and improve, but she was not interested. She has no incentive to improve when all her financial/security needs are met by you. That said, I was super BP back then and didn't stray. With the freedom you get, I suppose you could spin plates, but im not sure it'll make you feel any better. I'd say just move on and divorce. Things will only get worse with time. If you are as you say you are in the email, you'll have no issues with getting different 20 year olds every day of the week. He had a workout buddy, a successful businessman, who was single and lamenting that he could not find women worth dating no less marrying. He gave this guy permission to ask his wife out after he died. He wrote his wife a letter, to be opened after his death, telling her that he had asked their family friend to date her and possibly marry her after his death. He asked her not to turn him down. He knew his wife and his friend well enough to realize they would be a good match. They married a year later.
Dude: be grateful for what you have. She may be dumb but at the moment she's loyal and grateful to have you as her husband. When her looks hit the wall you'll be in your fifties and your kids will be out on their own. If she loses interest in sex, then you can consider an "upgrade". If you dump her for a smarter wife you may wind up wishing you were single again. I know that after losing my wife I have come to the conclusion that being single is my best choice.

im in similar situation..not exact in every way but similar..biggest problem is communication..sometimes u just can't make her understand certain situations..u find urself longing for more intelligent communication with larger vocabulary ..she has scary ideas..& since usually lower intelligence can translate into easy to take advantage of u may worry about this point

It is possible that her real IQ is 80 - 90. Don't rely on that single result. Often the tests and questions are old and outdated. Some people mature late. I did. Maybe she does too.
