Aimie is actually from the original cast so I’m always bias towards her since I listen to the soundtrack more but Sam is just so iconic in this role now I love her version too
Annabel was the first ever K Howard( she’s the sister of Toby, one of the creators of SIX), Aimee was on the concept album and subsequently in the first professional production on the West End. Sam is the O.G. United States/Broadway K Howard (she was stunning on Broadway when I saw them 💖). And Jodi was the first U.K. Touring Howard! They’re all the firsts in their respective roles and I was so tickled to see them all perform together!!
Somebody under the comments of the original video pointed out that the order in which they sing kind of mimics the progression or aging of the character over time. Annabel starts off very light and innocent, but by the end you get Jodi who has a very deep, mature sound.
I'd for sure recommend listening to Aimie's full version of the song!! She is of course on the album but there's a few clips of live performances where she makes other choices - one of them has some growl to it and that's so fun. Jodie is of course amazing too, I love how the different Howards bring something so new to the role.
So Annabel was the first K Howard (She is Toby's sister), she played K Howard when Cambridge university took it to the Edinburgh Fringe, It then returned to the fringe with Aimee who also was on the concept album and the first UK tour cast, this cast became the first west end cast (she was nominated for an olivier award for this), Sam was K Howard on the first US and Canada Tour which then became the Broadway cast and Jodie was K Howard in the second UK tour. This was filmed during the first US tour when Sam briefly took a break from tour to be in Evita in the West End(I think), Aimee had finished playing K Howard by this point and Jodie was just about to start the tour (she had just started the rehearsals for it). Also it should maybe be noted that the UK Cambridge, West End and Tour casts use a different harmony arrangement than the Broadway cast which may be why Sam sounds so different to the others
aimie will always be my favorite for how "scrappy" her howard is and rlly clings onto life until the ending but hearing jodie was really really cool like damn
Late to comment, but I just wanted to point out that this was done while Sam Pauly was in London doing Evita. She was actually taking a hiatus from the Massachusetts leg of the tour the cast did August 2019 before they went to Broadway. In fact, Sam got the call telling her that she would be playing K Howard on Broadway either right before or during the intermission of one of the shows.
I don't think there's a legal video of her, but I really liked Sophie Isaacs' version -- she's tiny and adorable and looks about 14, and she went way in on the "innocent" sort of interpretation (kind of reminding me a bit of Little Red in Into the Woods), and shifting over to just absolutely completely terrified by the end of the song. Like, watching her, you half expect her to be curled up in the fetal position by the time the song is done, then for the last line, she takes a deep breath and stands up straight, like, "If he's going to kill me, I'm walking into it with my head up (for as long as it's attached.)" Watching her and Sam Pauly one after the other, you'd practically not think they were even singing the same song, they do it so differently, and I love both of them. (Also, the choreography of that number looks so much creepier when Howard is like shoulder-height to the others, and she plays off of that really well.)
I love that you analyzed all of them, with Aimie as the Og though, I do hope you'll do a reaction to her All You Wanna Do. I love how each of the ladies have their styles and flairs but Aimie will always be my fave because I've known her as Kat Howard first.
I went to this show at the Hippodrome theatre in the west end of London which l thought was a family and friends event, such a beautiful evening, full of fun and laughter. A night l will always cherish and remember .❤
Jodi Steele was Heather Chandler in the 2017-18 West end Heathers production. I’m pretty sure you did a review of Candy Shop a few years back. That’s Jodi.

Actually, this was on a legitimate stage. It was one of the concerts of a series called "Sunday Favourites at The Other Palace" in London, on September the 15th, 2019. The Other Palace was the London home of "Heathers", too. Jodie Steele ("the one at the end") played Heather Chandler there at that time.
I just saw this in Melbourne (Australia) last weekend, and Chelsea Dawson was brilliant as Katherine Howard. Not my fave queen though, I really thought Kiana Danielle stood out as Anna of Cleves and we had two swings in our cast that night, Chiara Assetta as Catherine Parr and Karis Oka as Anne Boleyn who were incredible. We didn’t get to see the full costumes which was a shame, the swings wore slightly altered versions of other costumes. Now that I’ve gone that far, Phoenix Jackson Mendoza was brilliant as Catherine of Aragon and Loren Hunter was great too as Jane Seymour. I wish I could go back watch the ‘main’ cast perform together, but if the swings are anything to go by, the show must be incredible with Kala Gare and Vidya Makan.
I have seen the show twice now and adored it. The first time I saw the full cast and the second I saw 3 of 6 swings on as the queens (Karis Boleyn, Chiara Aragon and Christina the alternate swing as Parr) it was incredible! Definitely go back if you can!
I’m sure you’ve gotten a lot of comments about who these people are but I’ve seen some misconceptions so here’s the full rundown form a Six mega fan. Annabel is Toby, on of the writers, sisters and was the first Howard at the performance at their university. Aimie was in the cast that recorded the album, then joined the first UK tour which became the first official west end cast. As you know Sam is the first US/Broadway Howard, and Jodie was Howard on the second UK tour.
For the wording you didnt understand "Then there was this other guy, Francis. And at the time I was living at my step-grandma's house. He was working for her. Working so so hard. So he asked me to be his little piece of ass.....istant"
@@PS-DLMA - actually, the only one who was a teenager when she married Henry was K. Howard. All the other wives weren't teenagers when they married him: Catherine of Aragon was 6 years older than Henry, Anne Boleyn was 32 when she married him, Jane Seymour was 28 when she married him, and Anna von Kleve was 25. Parr was 17 when she got married for the first time, though, and she was 22 when she got married for the second time.
The backing music is not the same as in the show therefore they will hold back a bit because it is a less intense sound imo - they are all brilliant vocalists and love hearing them all together 😁
They’re all wonderful, but I think I prefer Aimie partly because her voice is so distinguishable - like you know there are singers who are great but sound p much like any other great singer, and then there are the ones who have voices that are so unique (Shakira for example)

Same Aimie as the og I will always hold as the standard for Kat Howard. I do hope we'll get a reaction to Aimie's performance sometime.
Same but I really loved the way Annabel sung dynamics tho ahahah
I actually love jodie and I would like to her rendition I don’t even know if there’s a full version somewhere

Jodie was actually the second UK tour. The first west end cast toured before staying in London.

Same. She wasn’t the first I heard, but she is my favourite!
