Promoting sustainable agriculture through pollinator health research with Dr. Sarah Wood

Since its inception in 2014, the Honey Bee Health Lab at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine has been investigating the role of sustainable apiculture practices in supporting ecosystem health. Specifically, we explore the spread of antimicrobial resistance among bacterial pathogens of honey bees, the effects of pesticide exposure on pollinator health, and the value of pollination services to agricultural crops, including canola, blueberries, and livestock forage.
