- Hello everyone,
In this episode we meet Moi and his super clean CRV. What started as a daily to get back into his Honda roots quickly was changed with a bit of pieces added to the platform. A simple coilover has now turned into a dual caliper in the rear, wheels, BBk, and so on. I cannot wait until he reaches his future plans in the engine and body compartments. Wow, nice CRV, owner did a great job on this one. I have a 2000 manual crv as well, it's my daily driver with over 285K miles. It just keeps going and going.

this car is beautiful. I have a 2001 honda crv and under the hood looks nothing like this one. One can only dream.

I love my 97 crv!! I bought it off my mom who bought it brand new. It's got 267000 kilometers and still runs great.

FYI: Just use the prelude rear calipers. They have the parking brake built in. You'll need an adapter plate.
Keep the B20 block. Install ARP head studs, a cometic head gasket, and B18C head. So you keep the 2.0L torque, matched with VTEC and high-revs.
Man, I can see myself going on a nice road trip across Canada in this CRV. I want one!

I just bought mine's about a month ago and I have major plans for it along with my Mazda MP5 2003
I just bought one not knowing anything about Hondas. Not a major car guy, but I know some things, these cars are probably the best built Honda’s as far as their generation. I do want to make it look more nicer, just don’t know what direction to take it in, nor do I want to break the bank.

@@freericeandbeans7553 start with some coil overs to give it a stanced look. Tinted windows go a long way in terms of looks, after market headlights give it a more clean crispy look. All that can be done pretty cheap!
Just picked up my new car, 01 auto AWD CRV in dark green. Love it to pieces so far. Bought it on some cheap coilovers and steelies, but thing had a pretty much brand new B20B swapped in, imported from Japan. Got her for 1500 bucks and so far sunk about ~600 or so in it and no regrets. Plan on 5speed swapping it in the future, when the funds are available. For my 7th car ive had my fair share of fun driving and by far this thing is up there with the best, if not number one. Hope to make tons of good memories in it!

LOVE my white 2000 CRV Honda! Thanks for the great video. I thought I had a great mechanic, although seeing the work you've had done makes me want to go with your shop recommendations. I've had her for 15 years now, 235k miles. Do all the necessary maintenance and more; runs rough and lots of vibration after much work. Thank you for sharing your passion for this classic vehicle. You inspire me. (Will one day paint her pearl white.)
CRVs will continue running if you take care of them. Just make sure you keep them on the road lol

These are cool... I first started liking them when Honda Tuning mag used this model to make AWD Integra and I want that so bad but these are cool... I saw one slammed like this with "SI" badge and it really looked factory and made sense

Looks great but it has a hot air intake. The factory intake already had a better setup than that.
It was easy to mod to have larger piping for better and cooler flow. As simple as ditching the silly intake resonator and opening up the bottom of the filter box. Then recreate the little bend that took cool air from under the bumper with larger pvc elbow. That's how we did it with 3G integras and it works on CRVs too

Beautiful. I want to switch my drum breaks for disc but there are no stright switch kits, I belive you when you say it was a pain.

I just picked up my 1st gen for my build. I've had accords, preludes, civics, integras, s2000 and a odyssey.

Keep your coupe..i was in the first people to build first gen crv early 2000s..all i can say they look good but they are total junk not ment for power and speed...
He bought it from the original owner, 100% stock. Fuck.....if I owned a car for 17 years, I’d never let it go. Hats off to the original owner for keeping it alive and trusting Moi to keep it going.

Just got back from a long drive, my 99 crv couldn't barely tow my 5x6 trailer with 4 m3 rims and 1x lazyboy... I was doing 90kph @ 3k rpm... Is that normal?

The factory intake is much better than aftermarket. Especially keeping the plastic piping. You are sucking hot air instead of the air from outside.

This is an example of a daily drive car from a car guy. I just can't understand why some who relegate their daily drive as "beater cars" can't make simple upgrades and keep their car clean with good paint and body. Well done!
