Plarium is double, triple, quadrupling down on the sheep debuff, because that's how they view the paying player base.
No matter what they do, players will still spend money and whale out on the game like a bunch of mindless sheep.
Because they think the players are sheep. And the profitability proves them right.

Fusions have gotten so expensive in terms of resources and time, I had already decided not to do this one before I knew it was a PVP champ (useless to me). The game is just more enjoyable when you get to pick and choose what tournaments and events you get involved in, and when you have time to run minotaur and iron twins and sand devil and whatever areas make sense and just try new builds and teams. Fusions and Titan Events have gotten to where they suck the joy right out of the game.
I never do minotaur. The energy wasted vs gems isn't worth it. I'm coming to your view as the last 2 fusions I've competed with haven't been worth it (Wight Queen and Blizzard). I have no use for them.

You are wasting a ton of gems and couple million silver by buying masteries instead of leveling champs in mino. 800 gems + all the actually wasted (100's of gems worth) energy/brews/silver leveling the champ in campaign or tavern vs ~650 gems for full masteries and enough xp to hit 6* lvl 45

As a newer player to the game, this is absolutely amazing, maybe you older folks are getting it rough but us newer players are loving it! You older players have all the champions I. The game while us newer players have nothing, so getting heros like this for us allows us to catch up faster, it’s just part of power creep, can’t make everyone happy but it is what it is, I’m gonna spend every penny I can to get this guy as a newer player

Look at Gliseah Soulguide's passive! "This Champion’s skills cannot be put on cooldown. Whenever an enemy tries to put either this Champion’s skills or an ally’s skills on cooldown, places a [Freeze] debuff on that enemy. Also has a 50% chance of denying the cooldown increase effect. The [Freeze] debuff cannot be blocked or resisted. Will not deny cooldown increasing effects from Bosses"

One way to counter this in arena is the way I deal with UDK. I have a fully booked Rhonda and Visix that I pair with UDK and Scyl. Rhonda is used to block active and passive, Visex controls, and the other 2 just protect. Also you can do this with Sun Wu.
When isn't the community outraged? People should be aware by now that Plarium doesn't care about the majority of the player base. I do enjoy Raid but shouldn't expect them to change their ways of making poor choices.

@@RSL_lordofallI'm not that concerned about the fusion being OP or not, any outrage I'll have towards it is most likely how much it will be pay-walled. Either that or the fact that the anniversary events really are usually bad for what most games would be such a great time to play.
the only enraged are free to play or low spenders that cant do fusions or whales that lose to low spenders that got lucky
What you mention around 11:30, regarding the champion in that other game, and what the company did, and if that would happen here, well saying: "that's toxic" it's a nuclear understatement. That's borderline illegal. As selling you a car with a 400hp engine, then coming up to your house and replacing the engine, tires, transmission, and leaving you with the equivalent of an old VW beetle, without any refund.
*However, Plarium hasn't done that in years.* They pulled a lot of ugly stunts, but so far, they do keep a strong stance in not nerfing champs, and I tip my hat to the risk taken. Ty 4 the vid!
Another possible reason for more polymorph champs... When you have enough floating around, and doing a fusion is a sure fire way to achieve that, you can delete the blessing and say it's not needed anymore. And pigs might fly that Paylarium would delete a cash cow in sheep clothing lol.
Hegemon would be a good counter to him, but it's only 50% chance to lock him out, so more RNG in the arena. He does have many weaknesses though. Block Debuffs for one, Stoneskin, high resist, poly, faster nuker, Wukon, but also a great duo, or another Armanz ofc. Best way to deal with him is a nuke Fenax with an a1 block revive, which is the best way to deal with the threat permanently. Because he's stat hungry, he will be hard to mange for non end gamers Whales/Krakens OG's etc. Probably more things too, but that's quite the list already. Imo I rate him as a solid A tier champ, with an S tier kit.

@@danielstark6170 Resist too as his skills will poly him. Then he will need high hp/def stats or I'll just bring along a nuke Fenax and a1 his sorry butt into the dirt permanently. So apart from crit rate/dmg he needs the lot, and he needs them high. That's why I said stat hungry. I already have multiple ways to put him down. When I look at a champ, I don't look at what they can do, I look at what they can't and what are their weaknesses (counters) and value the champ according to kit v counter. he has an S tier kit for sure, but the counters to him is A+ so he pans out as a solid A tier to me. If you only look at what they can do, you forget that there are over 800 champs that have qualities, many of them will be hard counters to them, which makes them less valuable. the easier the counters are to get hold of, Fenax, easy(ish) accessible counter. Hegemon, hard counter to get hold of as examples of this. He is very, very good, but he's not op, or broken. A simple block debuffs counters him too. This can now be protected with either champs (Ukko), or sets that have a chance to protect buffs. No doubt champs to follow.

I wasn't high enough in Arena when poly was introduced, so for a long time I didn't mind it. I hated stoneskin instead. But eventually poly started working its way down into my Arena level, and yes, I changed my mind. I do think stoneskin needs to be retuned for Arena though.
And ideally Plarium would separately balance the game for PvE and PvP. So mechanics that work one way in PvE, would work differently in PvP. Using stoneskin as an example, instead of a 50% chance to resist purge effects in all modes, it would be a 66% in PvE, and 33% in PvP. But that would require a huge overhaul, so this is all wishful thinking on my part.
UDK is the best thing that ever happen in Raid for me, I am so thankful for him.
Plarium is leaning so heavily towards sheep because it's an very effective way to narrow down the desirabilty in the champion pool amongst the spenders.
sheep wouldnt be a problem as a champion ability very few champs have, if they reworked the blessing to not do it
Waiting for the look back and seeing them take this into consideration down the line. In agreement with thoughts of the sugar coat, then disappointed face bloat
my take on polymorph: it is used to provide newer players (usually whales or the wanna-be's) increased likelihood of having an occasional upset over the well established, long-term player. And its reception is W.A.D. (working as designed) EDITED TO ADD: Also, Plarium has the opportunity to perform deep data analysis to see how effective certain BUYS (promos) are in hitting desired $ amount. The player base may scream all they like, but at this point if the game can't continue bringing in new blood, it's going to fail much sooner than later (probably in the form of a sell-off to a business entity even less likely to notice its player base). I've learned to take the good with the bad.
Armanz is clearly intended for the Arena, which his presence, along with UDK, will destroy. Which is weird: it's already an annoying part of the game that I play only to complete the dailies. Now I may just say, "Fuck it, maybe I don't really need the dailies."
Meh, i just do 5 easy runs against solo teams daily. This way there is no sheeping going on.
Instead of add more sheep, Plarium could add something like remove sheep + add full turn meter, a way to give champ capable of contrameasure polimorph, it could be make it more interesting
Be on the lookout for a champion with a hard counter to polymorph.
Am I just miss reading the Passive. It's first line is a benefit to his enemies correct? It would help any target HE Sheeps so it's a negative on the kit, or am I missing something?
It means anytime a sheep defbuff is removed or expires one of that champs skills goes on max cooldown so it isn't a benefit of the enemy.
Increase cool down, not decrease
By now, everyone understands that the blessing rebalance did nothing to decrease usage of polymorph and, in fact, actually increased polymorph selection. However, here is a suggestion to Counter Polymorph. There are still some gear sets that are mostly useless, so let's take one of the garbage gear sets like Fury or Frenzy and make it an anti-sheep set, possibly with benefits up to 6 piece. Like This:
2 piece: 25% chance to block polymorph
4 piece: 50% chance to block polymorph
6 piece: 50% chance to reflect polymorph back to the toon that cast it.
This would definitely shake up the usage of polymorph and potentially bring some toons back out of the vault. Pass it on to Plarium if you like the idea.
I dont think his kit now is an issue if we didn't have things tied to pvp missions (I know they changed some of them) and if platinum arena was a percentage of the player base and not a flat value.

Sheep is necessary to counter speed teams. Right now I'm in gold 5 with no sheep, if I go first I pretty much win. They just need to balance sheep better to bring it in line with other cc effects also I don't think they will nerf him in the future and piss everyone off, they will just balance sheep make everyone happy which will nerf him at the same time. Win, win, win for them....
I run speed teams in gold 2, stone skin counters speed. My Lydia might get sheeped but my Razelvarg will still smash

The sleep debuff was 100% created as a marketing ploy to get new players in the game. Plarium is trying to capitalize on this but doesn't realize that they are killing their own game
Start saving now. Soon they will release a direct counter for this guy, not that there aren't champs to counter this guy already, but this one will be tailor made to counter this guy. Expect a lot of events to grind, cards to flip and cards to swipe.
So leaning into a pvp where one player finds it hard to even take a turn, if this is it I'm now f2p

Honestly there is nothing wrong with his A3, there are only 2 champs that can place a sheep debuff and its only for 1 turn. The issue is with the blessing polymorph. People want it removed but I see it as a healthy addition to the game, it just needs to be 1 turn only! That would completely fix the blessing. That or have the champ retain their original speed or simply make it cleansable. Over all this champs A3 is a great counter for the problem champ UDK and you don't have to worry about building him for damage like you would with SUN wukong being that sun has such high damage output. His A2 is definitely over tuned but I honestly love it. He himself can become a target of polymorph when he uses it. The new couple are pretty much unphased but will still lose turn meter and champs with stone skin are safe, for those in plat arena that are worried. The way I see it is he's no worse than any lockout champ. In fact he is a free version for the player base, and being the low spender that I am, I don't have: Warlord, Yumeko and the like so I am super excited to have a budget lockout champ. (he's also god tier for all wave based content for those that struggle with it)
They won’t change this fusion after release. Dont forget they said they won’t nerf anymore and only will make more counter champs

At this point, Plarium officers must refer to the Sheep debuff as the "Customer debuff". Or the "Player debuff". I'm working the fusion to see first-hand how broken this guy is.
I mean … it’s likely on purpose the whole releasing a busted fusion then nerf it later after everyone has grinded events etc lol. Also it is kinda funny the whole sheep debuff , I just have to imagine someone showed up to the meeting high as a kite and literally presented “ sheep “ lol. I’d love to see the presentation of the idea behind sheep 😅😅😅

Polymorph the blessing is terrible, they should remove the blessing and leave the debuf on the champs like wukong and the bard.
Just make it a 1 turn debuf that certain champs have. The blessing is the problem.

Think the changes you want there in armanz's kit is a bit too much, its good to have a few OP fusions in the game tbh.

Chosen we both know that the sop's for plarium are when the community hates something they do instead of taking that feed back into consideration they chose to double and triple down on that to force it down our throats....polymorph is just the next on the list
Best I can figure is they're making these OP champs to give mid tier players a reason to compete in live arena. They've been hard pushing LA since it's debut and instead of fixing what players don't like they're just selling OP champs to try to drum up interest
And then mid tier players run into high tier players with the same champs and it's game over anyways.

Probably i am the only one who dont hate polymorph. I think its fun. All plarium needs to do, remove lvl6 awaken irresistibility, then you can build resist against it, and then resist stat would have a reason to live in this game...

If Plarium does indeed have game designers, they are not designing the game for good game play. They always design to maximize profit. In that regard, Armanz is GREAT design for the game because no one gives a hoot about the long term. If Raid had thoughtful, competent design it would be so much better of a game by now.

The community fed plarium millions of dollars for every wrong decision they made when it came to champion design and now are crying when power creep has been a thing for more than a year.

Plarium loves sheep. Sheep who play the game. Sheep who cover the game. So why not load up on in-game sheep too. Maybe it's their idea of "balance". Maybe we should all just move on.

Armanz sounds awesome. Glad he is a leggo fusion and not a mythical champ. Will definitely be going for this fusion.
Polymorph is easy to fix but they refuse to do so.
5* and under 1 turn not protected.
6* 1 turn protected unblockable.

Ironically, stoneskin and polymorph makes this champion irrelevant for competitive PVP. The people with the resources to get him easily have full mythical teams already.
The reason why Plarium does anything is simple. MONEY. It's their one and only focus and will remain so until no one plays the game and the server shuts down.
Sheep isnt as bad as we're acting but even setting that aside, this dudes kit is TOO good. Not in a good way, in bad way. Why are they like this?

@@gerutzu575i have 2 champions with 6 star blessing one with polymorph im still happy having it, also they basically "nerfed" polymorph/buffed whales because players complained about it and made only 6 star not require accuracy.
If Plarium/Raid nerfs Armanz when the Fusion is over, or mid-fusion, I'll likely stop playing the game. It would basically be the last nail in the coffin. I'll start enjoying my free time and start playing other games I've been neglecting because Raid takes up a lot of my free time. I don't want to be a Plarium slave.

Polymorph is not the same as placing a sheep debuff via a skill like sun wukong or this champ. This provides counterplay and in my opinion is healthy for the arena meta. Polymorph is an rng lock your champ from the game for 2 turns with a 40% speed reduction, so effectively over 3 turns. Keeping your turn meter and being a sheep until you take your turn is nowhere near the same as polymorph. So I think the A3 is fine but the A2 seems overpowered. It is a magic affinity champ though so it will weak hit which decreases the power by a lot. Given that it's a support champ I think the passive is fine and this instantly gives counterplay to everyone getting king narses

With millions of players, the chances of having anything make everyone happy will never happen. Half will love it, half will hate it. I personally dont care at all about polymorph, i deal with it, something that most crybaby raid players arent able to do. Honestly CCs get a few thousnad complaints and they blow it up. Theres millions of people playing and the few thousand complainers aren't the whole community. Id be more pissed if I spent $500 dollars or more (which will happen for many) to get this champ and he gets nerfed to a vault champion (kind of what you discribed how youd build him)

It's because the game director is the one that made up polymorph.. obviously he thinks it's great and doesn't want to look bad getting it taken out of the game because it sucks so they keep trying to meld it into things to try and get people to catch on to it but it'll always be a stupid addition no matter what they do.
