One of my dog's had undescended testicles but he still managed to get one of my girls pregnant. My vet had to find his testicles, one was at the top of the shaft while the other had wrapped around the penis. My vet said that probably happened when he mated. But it made surgery difficult and expensive... 😅 He had 6 beautiful puppies which we kept 5 of and my dad has the other. My profile picture is one of his sons.
If the testicle doesn't descend then also the male can able to produce...
Just found out today my husky that we adopted from shelter 3 years ago was never neutered because both testicles were undescended. He tied with my female Newfoundland (intact). Now I’m worried she may be pregnant. Everything I read keeps telling me he’s sterile. But so far I’ve heard two anecdotal stories including yours saying that’s not always the case. I have a feeling this is all going to get very expensive.

My last litter of five, had two males both my vet could only feel one testicle at four months old they are still this way. Mom is being spayed in January and the father this was his first litter and was sold as a stud to someone else. Could it have been both parents genetics that brought this on to both male pups or is it primarily genetic on the fathers side?
Hi Thanks again for all you do my dog is 32 days pregnant ( I think ) and has Completely rejected all dog food she will not eat the royal canine - she will not eat the raw beef patties that she’s been eating for a year - the only thing she will eat is turkey cold cuts , which I have to hand feed her , and I don’t think that’s very healthy for her ( sodium) is there anything you can recommend ? thanks a lot!!

hey james! i have a 5 month old rojo stud 1 testicle has descended. the other is in his stomach about an inch away from his sack. he’s a beautiful stud. is it genetic? should i not use him?
I had a rough collie that had an undescended testicle and they finally found it in his knee, the size of a pea. They aren't always in the abdomen like they should be. I agree that they don't cut off at 6 months though, my vet says 9 months.

❓ question ❓ what are your thoughts on naturally tying and having a male able to do it would you risk your female with an actual tie or would you just do artificial insemination getting mixed responses on this to where some are saying AI is less effective than a natural tie how???? Is this possible, I would have thought ai would be better
Have you ever seen/experienced a dog that had both testicles descended and at about 5 month they disappeared 1 at a time and are easily palpated in the inner thigh on both sides.
No never seen that sorry I’m not much help
