Hey hey hey! You know what, I'm actually considering getting an LX570. I kind of like it more than the new GX550. Great information Davey!

Love that my friend! The AHC system is often underestimated in my opinion and with a little ingenuity, there is some serious modification potential 😀. If you want to make an AHC video one day, you know I’m game!

I would love to see some @tinkerersadventure videos on the LX. I think like the GX had the blow up off off road enthusiasm, the LX is at a good price point and age for that now. Plus theyll AHC is really great

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I just got an 09 I’m building.

Very interesting ideas. You can raise it up, but the main thing that you can’t forget is that you also have to space the hydraulic shocks out by that same amount so that they still work as designed.

I am running actual 1.25 spacer... had to notch spring tower for hydro fitting...also had to clock each shock due to the spacers studs make the shock have to rotate...also could only get 2 nuts on top of one shock because toyota decided not to make those 4 bolts a symmetrical pattern... so to be perfect the spacers need a custom hole pattern to clock the shock and get all the bolts in.
Im sitting a 5 in of lift... I shortened the ride hight sensor connecting rods to achive the lift. 12 in of front end travel. All that droop and I did brake a cv on a blue mt side trail... now I'm running the tundra rcvs

Top notch informative video. I have recently installed coil spring buffer in 2018 lc200 with ahc, and I must say I am happy with the result as it improved ride quality, firm, on both dirt road and asphald road. Currently, I am looking to lift my car by 1 inch with spacer and ahc sensor. Was there a difference in ride quality with spacer lift?

Thanks for the video. Would you recommend a strut spacer for those who have adjusted their front AHC sensors to the max height position to eliminate the factory rake of the LX570? Would it benefit ride quality to return the front struts and springs back to the neutral compression vs preloading the struts from the sensor lift?

Do you have part sources, brands, part numbers for the spacers?

Thanks for the video. What lift spacer or spring did you use for the rear?

What did you end up doing? Was way interesting seeing the travel with no spring in place. I decided a 275-65-20 is big enough, and all you have to do is pull the front mud flap and move the liner forward. Going to use 1.25” spidertrax spacers.
Currently just on 275-55-20, and that was still a huge improvement. I don’t think I’d want to go above a 34” tire unless I was prepared to regear the diffs to 4.30.

Any concern with borking a CV or tie rod with that extra droop?

      @DaveyJordan  Рік тому +1

Yes, Travis good point. We should have discussed that more. Here's a pic of both at full droop with the sway bar and lower shock bolt removed. The limiting factor at this point was actually the upper control arm hitting the coil bucket. imgur.com/a/B2Gd0ln. The CV angle was not pretty

    Currently I'm on 285-70-R17 tires.
What is the easiest solution to lift it 1.5 iches.
Normal driving there is no issues at all, but while Offroading sometimes the tire touches the body. So i thought that the best solution is to lift it both front and end by 1.5 inches. Front will place a spacer and rear will change the coil spring with a spacer.
    whats your reccomendation

A spacer alone will not lift an AHC truck. That size tire should have no issue clearing. Adjust height sensors, massage wheel well liner, and enjoy.

If budget is no object get Werewolf portal axles. 5" non-suspensoin lift. Keeps stock suspension geometry. 1.3 gear reduction. You can fit 37"s and not need to regear the differentials. $15k but would be a beast offroad.

@@marcochavanne What i have done is adjust suspension sensor and lift up front and end by 1.5" inches ... I use the car for both daily drive and sand dunes offroading, the issue with AHC is that its really bad for high speed offroading and jumps alot, on street its really amazing ... My Next plan is to remove AHC and replace it with Kingshocks, and its easy to dissable AHC errors meeages from dashboard, just removing 1 wire.

Tundra front increases your trackwidth approx 3" = Greater Travel, Greater Stability
