As a Mexican that speaks english all day because of work I can really relate to not knowing how to say something in Spanish but know it in english xd so yeah, they do live in Mexico, they live in my same city actually, never have got to see them live tho :c
The quarantine concert was great because we all got to see the girls as they are. They're sweet, goofy, teenage girls who rock! I really enjoyed the bits between the songs.

If you want perfect pitch listen to their studio stuff. For my money it's the imperfections that make it interesting... after all going computer with drums etc killed the funkiness and groove and the heart of rock and roll. I'm not surprised it died. And I'm so thrilled to hear it again I can't stop listening to The Warning!
I go with their Foro Didi concert. Though, I guess, I know nothing with regards to pitch, but I find that concert is pretty much their finest performance. Spanish is my first language and I had trouble translating “shelf” the other day. It happens often with bilinguals or multilingual. You just draw a blank on such simple and common words sometimes. @@markbell4982 No kidding. I'm pretty sure everyone draws a blank with whatever language they speak. The consciousness cannot possibly retain everything which we're trying to process at every given moment.
This was recorded on a phone because it was in the early days of quarentine so they couldn't bring in sound people or anything. The girls are very charismatic. Ale (the youngest) doesn't have a problem due to her age, it's having two extremely outgoing sisters to contend with. Someone has to wind up in the background. So cute how little Ale has become the tallest of them... 😅 In fact at some point during that show Dany pointed that out and compared their hights using their respective mics. Ale's bumped into her forehead. She then urged Pau to join. Pau furiousely refused though. She's the smallest and obviusely not happy with that! 😅 Also they still live in Monterrey as far as I know and english is their second language. They just use it so much, they sometimes forget spanish, especially if there's maybe not a good direct translation for a certain word. I'm german and it happens to me too sometimes... 😅
Just watched your video. The girls are Spanish first language and they still live in Monterrey, Mexico. English came later from listening and singing with American rock. Ale (bass) is now 15. Can you imagine how great she will be once covid is over and they perform live. This trio is amazing powerhouse. Their 4th album can't come soon enough. I can't wait until they are in Arizona. Hi Maunalee! Spanish is their 1st language, but they went to an English speaking only private school. I do believe they have a larger vocabulary in English as all of their learning/homework/etc. was in English. Please react to their latest UA-cam release here 👇 ua-cam.com/video/-VUCzqDyOdI/v-deo.html It's from a few days ago and already has 113,000+ views. Thank you! 🔥🔥🤘😎💯💕👏👏
morthnadic1 they speak French also , Pau admits there Spanish is weird , she had to have her mother go over narcissita lyrics because she speaks Spanish with English structure and her mother and grandmother make fun of them for it
Your best Warning reaction yet! They have the same problem that most bilingual people have. You sometimes can't remember the word for something you know in the other language. They are from Monterrey, Mexico and attended a bilingual school. Spanish is their home language, but they speak English better than many native speakers and are equally comfortable in both. There are numerous live Q&A's that they have done where they answer English questions in English and Spanish questions in Spanish without missing a beat.
I live in the Philippines and there are words in English that they don't have a translation for just say that word in English while the rest of the conversation is in their native dialect. Also sometimes they speak Taglish which is a combination of Tagalog and English.
Yup, they’re still in their homestead in Monterrey, Mexico. Great reaction and commentary as usual. They keep practicing and practicing. When they get a chance to record album #3 later this year, I can’t wait to hear it.
As other people have noted, they learned English in school at a young age. As a result, they have no Spanish accent and , if you didn't know them, you think that they grew up in the U.S. somewhere. Then they get stuck on some fairly common words (like calling a fence a wall) and you wonder what is going on. As a result of having so many classes in English, they are also lacking some skills in Spanish. Paulina told a story in one interview that after the wrote Narcisista, their first song in Spanish, they had to take it to their mother to straighten out the grammar. So yes, they are a little bit stuck between the two languages.
Yes, they have talked about how their songs tended to “come out” in English - although they are also smart enough to know that’s the way to go for the biggest audience in rock. And as mentioned above, bilingual people have a different way of verbal thinking. I do think Pau sounds especially good in Spanish and hope to hear more of that (there is another song that Dany sings in Spanish but I’ve only heard it with fairly bad cellphone audio). On some English lyrics the phrasing is just different than for pure English singers which is one thing that gives them a special sound. A few years ago I tried to learn Spanish with poor results, so I try sometimes to follow Dany’s Spanish - Pau talks so fast I can’t catch any of it! (She talks fast in English too, she just seems to run at 200 percent whatever she’s doing). All three of them are very smart in music and everything else - the bass line in ‘Shattered Heart’ was composed when Pau was about 15 and Ale 12, which continues to astound me. I bet the drums and bass on the next album are going to be mind blowing, and I bet Dany will have some new guitar tricks too.
Paulina admits that sometimes she doesn't know a word in Spanish. There are a few other times where she's searching for an English word. I guess that's why there's Spanglish! lol They attended a school where the English language is emphasized, plus they live in Monterrey, Mexico, and English is spoken or understood quite widely there. Thank you for reacting to The Warning!
Yes as other people mentioned they signed a record deal and it is for 5 albums which is crazy! Jason Flom signed them, he also discovered and signed Katie Perry and LORDE. Other performers on this record label are Greta Van Gleet, Taylor Swift, Drake, Florence and the Machine, Ariana Grande, ZZTop, John Mellencamp, just to name a few! Also The Warning is the first rock band from Mexico to EVER be signed by a major record label, pretty cool stuff!
They used two iPhones for live streaming (UA-cam and Facebook) during this quarantine concert. So nothing is going to sound great. Also English is their second language.
Maunalee they're from Monterrey, New Leon State (bordering Texas). And people from there, due to the proximity of the US, there's a lot of "Spanglish" in their way of talk. And Monterrey being the third largest city in all Mexico after: Mexico City and Guadalajara is very modern and westernized.
Most hard rock and metal vocalists' live vocals fall short of their recorded ones, plus they often intentionally improvise. But in the context of live it doesn’t really matter. I view live as its own separate thing.
They are living in Monterrey Mexico When Paulina tried to translate health care she had problems because when we say health care we think in social security ( SEGURO SOCIAL) and somebody shouted SALUD PUBLICA nothing to do with health care, but they have Spanish like first languish, I like your show because you criticize well, thank you, have a great day! ( sorry for my English)
Hi Maunalee, enjoyed your reaction as usual. I grew up speaking Spanish at home and English at school. I relate to blanking out to words sometimes in both English and Spanish. I think they have improved the audio quality of the studio and installed more cameras. They recently played Dull Knives for DeTour event and the video/audio quality was significantly better. Hope you get to react to that song, it’s a rocker of a song.
They went to School in Mexico where all there classes were in English and they grew up watch only TV Shows in English like shows on Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel and Listening to Music in English
If you watch this whole show they are having fun with the whole thing. It's a relaxed setting and playing to their fans. C'mon Dany's in her socks. I can honestly say I don't think any of the songs they did here were even close to their best.
Yes we were all radio djs at one time your point? Ok this video was like it would sound like if you ever been to any band rehearsal. Only thing is does Paus drums not have those power rims to give them a deeper sound and I've always wondered does she have a pice or carpet or pillow in her bass drum? Any drummer regardless how fast they play worth their salt knows a pillow is what you load in the basd drum. I have no idea what your talking about almost there. Their rawness and away from the main stay leaches music industry is what made their music awesome. Now that they have handelers and a record deal they will prep them for the age demographic. Im guessing that's what happened The Warning peaked with the older music fans so they decided it was time to get with a label so to cover the costs of world wide tour the trade off is they will be pilished for the Taylor Swift crowd and not the older ones like me. My daughter and I enjoyed their journey wish them well.
If you believe that you really have no idea what these girls are all about. Negotiations with the record company took 7 months mainly because they were adament that they would do things THEIR way, which has always been why they turned down previous offers that wanted to change who and what they were.
Dany does tend to get off when she loses her technique. Not being naturally gifted singers means even more hard work. Thanks for another great reaction. 🤘🏻
Professor G agreed. She gets so into the entertainer portion of her role, that her technique suffers at times. I love her to death, and the band. Their enthusiasm for what they are doing is very evident. Live rock and roll often gives you moments like these. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
So a live stream with the cellphone, in which the girls have more fun and don't take everything so seriously, is less suitable for evaluating Dany's singing. The three have done their homework and will give full throttle after Corona thanks to a record deal. Worldwide.
Sorry about that Maunalee - I feel for you. I'm in Bonny Doon area of Santa Cruz, and evacuated. Very weird experience. Please tell people to also stop 'Gender Reveal' parties in potential fire zones. I can't believe how stupid we people can be. Meanwhile, I keep watching you. I just had to respond on the fires because this is something I never had to go through before in my life. Take care. Once I find a new home I'll follow you even more. By the way, great women group to follow. It's not my favorite music, but I think you are right, they will continue to progress.
It's a pity these cave performance are done. It's really raw and I've heard so many better 1's. Unfortunately when you only have a 3 piece, it does make it hard to produce a quality product. The sisters have progressed so much since these days with their latest EP which is a major step in the evolvement. They do have their core group of fans. To get to the step, they are going to need more experimenting to make it their own. As the saying goes, it's the long way to the top if you want to rock n roll. They are a few steps there with a fair way to go though as I see it.
Hi! Jumping back in again. I just tried your Birthday PayPal link. Doesn’t look like it’s working anymore. Got an error message about it being deleted?

It's from a few days ago and already has 113,000+ views.
Thank you!
🔥🔥🤘😎💯💕👏👏
morthnadic1 they speak French also , Pau admits there Spanish is weird , she had to have her mother go over narcissita lyrics because she speaks Spanish with English structure and her mother and grandmother make fun of them for it
@@cirith100 🤣😂🤘🙂💯
The littlest one is now the biggest one!
JUST SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH LAVA/REPUBLIC RECORDS A FEW WEEKS AGO. GONNA ROCK THE NATIONS!!!
Maunalee they're from and live in Monterey, Mexico Spanish is their first language and English second
They just signed a record deal a few weeks ago
You should see this song in dakota bar....the sound on that gig is awesome.
Thank you for reacting to The Warning!
yes I live in the Philippines and it is the same way, and they speak Taglish. a Tagalog and English.
Yes, Recorded on a cel phone... Thanks Bradley!
A great concert, and a great time!
Dull Knives from The Warning Cave for De(Tour) - ua-cam.com/video/-VUCzqDyOdI/v-deo.html
The Warning has a UA-cam video of their second original song in Spanish.
Thanks again.
@@ellaevansbolt to each their own. My little one has moved on to Bandmade. Cherrs
Not SOAD!! Mexican darn it! Think of Mariachi. Anyway Widfire is a perfect example of their genius. No other band could write a song like this.
🤘🏻❤️⚠️
Thanks for the reaction! And this is recorded on a cell phone.
Hey Maunalee, your PayPal link for music reactions does not work, your regular PayPal for donations does work. Can you fix please, much appreciated?
México Is America too, at least, México Is north america too... So Canada!!!
This is from their first album, is a little bit old but i love it. This was written based on the hunger games.
Ha, good Joke about Ale.
She is the tallest of them for some time by now.
would love to see you reacting to their new song/video ‘CHOKE’
they live in mexico and travel to city's in usa when they can to preform.
Dany does tend to get off when she loses her technique. Not being naturally gifted singers means even more hard work. Thanks for another great reaction. 🤘🏻
It's like her enthusiasm gets the better of her and she pushes too hard. Still, that's rock baby!
Professor G agreed. She gets so into the entertainer portion of her role, that her technique suffers at times. I love her to death, and the band. Their enthusiasm for what they are doing is very evident. Live rock and roll often gives you moments like these. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

You should react to copper bullets at Dakota bar!
Hopefully the snow today, Tuesday, will help settle the smoke. No such luck for us in the Phoenix area.
Got an error message about it being deleted?
you're missing out on his new album Mayday. I suggest you starting with Choke
It's hilarious how some of the worst possible songs are recommended for a reviewer who focuses mostly on perfect pitch and the technical aspects of singing. Okay then let's have her review a song recorded on a cell phone. Lol
Maun had asked for something that was very recent, and this also provided an unusual context.
Havent scene you do a reaction to Dea Montra
Your PayPal shows that it has been removed by you. What’s up?
Someone needs to recommend one where Ale does lead. Either Hunter or Red Hands Never Fade
No me convence su reacción pero bueno mientras the warning este sirculando está bien 🤘🤘🤘
A mi sí, ha hecho muchas otras reacciones chingonas de the warning donde hasta se le erizan los poros de la piel por el efecto de las canciones de las warning!
If its possible react to mimi and josefin the best me pls!
: )
ugh
Didn’t like it?
@@musicwithmaunalee Well, maybe...or maybe if we take the 'glass half full' perspective, that is an abbreviated version of a request for you to react to their song "Ugh".
I suppose it could go either way...... This was a fun basement 'concert' to watch with their personalities on display, nice to see them just having fun without trying to be perfect.
I enjoy your reactions and find your reviews interesting. Thanks.
