I am a semi-frequent flyer haha, this has been invaluable for me to understand my best options. Yes I am off to sign up and I have subbed.
Glad it was helpful and thanks for subbing 🙌
You didn't mention the AMEX Velocity Platinum Card...? 🤔
This video was helpful
Glad you found it useful!
If you are existing WBC customer velocity platinum annual fee for the first year is $49 not $99. If you are not with WBC it's $99 for the first year. It's actually great value if you are not looking to keep this beyond 6/7 months
I guess you could open a basic account with them?
@@stevefoxg totally. Just open like a bank account and close it later if not needed
Can you a video on just ordinary travel cards in Australia which one is the best eg in terms of exchange rates fees etc benefits

Curious as to why the Amex velocity platinum wasn't in the top 5? Is it because of the higher annual fee or?
I'm assuming it might be due to the credit card offer ending in a few days?
I was hoping to learn about the Amex Velocity card here too.
Hey Raymond, is the Virgin Australia velocity high flyer card spend requirement $3,500 over two months or $7,000?
I find it confusing.
Hey Mannie, you need to spend more than $3500 for two consecutive months, so a total of $7000 over two months. For each month you do this you'll receive 40k velocity points. Hope that clears it up
I signed up for the Virgin Money silver card 6:28 after this video. If you signed up before 17 December 2023 there was a bonus of 30,000 points. So thanks to the timing of your video Im going to get 90,000 points! 🎉
That's awesome news! Now time to use those points for some travel!
If you pay one thousand for insurance with your credit card, is that eligible spend? thank you.
Hey mate it should be eligible
Is there any earning points credit card in Australia that has no APR?
Not that I've come across. If the card does have no APR it is only for a set period of time as a sign up bonus.
I think the Frequent Flyer High Card is capped with gaining points. After $1500 you get 0.5 points instead of 0.65
You’re correct on that front! Apologies I should’ve specified it more clearly in the video
@raymondla all good mate! I just got approved for this card and excited to use this as my first creditcard with my partner together. After points are collected will most likely look for a different card. Any recommendations?
