I suspect the gaps in the roster are for potential Fallen Kingdom DLC dinosaurs, the 5 in the preorder bonus dinosaurs, and potential mosasaur/pterosaur later DLC. Also, Troodon could take a spot between Tsintaosaurus and Velociraptor as it actually is a part of JP canon and would be easier to develop with existing models and animations. Plus those eyes would be so creepy!
Maybe they could have Baryonyx in the base game using the website design, then have an alternative skin of the Fallen Kingdom one in the DLC (along with Carnotaurus, Sinoceratops, Stygimoloch and maybe Allosaurus, if it isn’t in the base game).

If we have 3 different kinds of Gallimimus I don't see why we can't have two different types of Apatosaurus. It's not like the Camarasaurus isn't a smaller version of a Brachiosaurus.

I am really hoping that post Fallen Kingdom we get some of the big ones from that film that are blatant omissions thus far. Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Stigymoloch, Allosaurus, and Sinoceratops. For ones never in the films, I'd love to see Iguanodon, Giganotosaurus, Plateosaurus, and Oviraptor come to mind. Then...of course...I'd love some updates that include an Aviary DLC (Pteranodon, Dimorphodon, Quetzalcoatlus come to mind), Aquatic DLC (Mosasaurus, Plesiosaurus, Ichthyosaurus, Elasmosaurus, Kronosaurus), and tiny dinosaur/reptile DLC where we could get like Microraptor, Protoceratops, Hypsilophodon, Microceratops, Compsognathus, Archeopteryx, Dimetrodon, etc. Maybe do special walk through building enclosures for them but you can do a POV to view them as the player? So much more potential here I hope they capitalize on. Really hoping you nailed the Therozinosaurus, that would be such a unique model in game. Nothing else like it.

Jurassic Park never once said "hey this is all real and science". None of them are even dinosaurs. They are genetically engineered theme park monsters. Plus with how often paleontology changes and how little we actually know about prehistory its better to go for a long lasting style than ever changing accuracy.
My only reservation about this list is Giganotosaurus, since I don't think it's been found in the same exact area as Herrerasaurus (same country, but further south). If not in the base game, I'd imagine Giga being released as DLC of some sort. That said, I think your list is pretty solid BestInSlot.
Pretty Cool list :) My guesses would be very much the same with two exceptions. I'm guessing Dryosaurus instead of Diplodocus and Troodon replacing the Tarbo. Other then that, I'd say you've nailed it. I'd love to see the Compies too, but I don't see them making it in.

I think you're quite right regarding Fallen Kingdom dinosaurs, and hope it's either free, or developed a bit more beyond a "dinosaur pack" to justify the cost. I'm a bit mystified as to the inclusion of Dreadnoughtus and Teratophoneus on the Reddit one: neither have ever appeared in a JP game, and they seem rather outside choices. You could easily replace them with Diplodocus and Tarbosaurus respectively: both have previous JP form, and are much more well known. (Not that I'd have any problem with Dreadnoughtus or Teratophoneus being in the game, it's just they seem like very unusual choices to me.) But hey, that's what speculation's all about, isn't it?
Great list, only ones I'd replace is Minmi with perhaps Muttaburrasaurus, but who knows, maybe we'll get both and one of the other dinos on the list is wrong?
I think he is right about the blank spots representing dinosaurs without species profiles because if you look at those blank spots you can almost guess who it belongs too like the one right before the stegasaurus might be the spinosaurus and the one after gallimimus might be indominus rex and indo raptor since there in alphabetical order.
I see what you’re saying with allo, but I think it can be swapped with austrovenator. Austro seems too obscure to fit in the jw universe, and the same goes (imo) with minmi and Utah. Also, unenlagia should definitely be swapped for troodon, and charcharadontosaurus should be ceolophysis, since the ghost ranch site has no other significant dinosaurs.
I just think that the austrolovenator have to be replaced by Baryonyx and Diplodocus shouldnt be in game, because it is another very similar sauropod, and we want different models and kind of dinos. But this list is awesome, the locked hexagons are the only thing that i want for now and you put the dinosaurs in them very accurate!
Just some comments regarding the choices: 1) I personally don't think either Austrolovenator or Minmi will be in the game, as the Australia dig site has essentially been confirmed to be the Mackunda Formation (it's apparently misspelled, at least in the JP Wiki article). The Australia dinosaur may actually be Muttaburrasaurus, since that's the only dinosaur listed in the formation on Wikipedia (though there could be more). 2) I'd replace Austrolovenator with Baryonyx, since the Isle of Wight is a dig site in the game, and Baryonyx fossils have apparently been found there, and it was on the list of exhibited dinosaurs at Jurassic World even prior to the fourth movie was released. 3) I do find it interesting that Dilophosaurus is apparently confirmed to be in the game, even though the formation it's normally found in, Kayenta, is apparently not in the game as a dig site. There is the Lower Lufeng Series in China, where Sinosaurus was found, and considering Sinosaurus was once classified as Dilophosaurus, and Jurassic Park seems to work on late 80s-early 90s science... 4) While Herrerasaurus was used in the Jurassic Park The Game, I personally don't think it will be in the initial release of JWE, as *none* of the confirmed dig sites originate in the Triassic, especially the *one* confirmed South American dig site (Candeleros, which is Cretaceous). 5) Considering Unenlagia comes from another dig site other than Candeleros, the confirmed dig site in South America, I would presume it's not in game, either. Buitreraptor might be a better fit, even if it is somewhat obscure. Again just speculation on my part.
I wonder whether, based on the new canon information recently revealed, that the Spinosaurus will actually be a hybrid project like the Indominus, and not a regular available species...
I'm not trying to be too optimistic, but it would make sense alphabetically if austrolo was replaced by Baryonyx and charca was replaced by Carnotaurus. Not getting my hopes up, though. I'm not too optimistic about them despite being in fallen kingdom.
In your opinion what do you think of paid DLC for different dinos? I happen to play Elite Dangerous from Frontier, and the only issue that I have is their paid DLC. I feel that having a couple of dinos for pre-orders is fine, but it all depends on how much a customer can buy them for. Love to hear your thoughts on the matter as I am really looking forward to the game as well.
Honestly, after that Deinonychus, I'm not sure if I trust Frontier to model dromaeosaurs. I'm a little shook as to what a potential Unenlagia or Utahraptor would look like. Yes the German PC Games said 40 dinosaurus. But they also said they have no knowledge of any special editions, so we might get 40+5 dinosaurs. I have made a thread on this on the Frontier forums.
DLC packs i would love to see: Marine Creatures pack: Mosasaurus Liopleurodon Pleisosaur Sharks:Helicoprion,Megladorn and the one with that weird big crest on its head Flying Creatures pack: E.g Quetzl Pteranodon Pterodactyl Microraptor Dimorphodon Prehistoric creatures pack: Sabretooth/smilidon Prehistoric Wolves Wooly Rhino Those massive elk (cant remember what they are called😂) Terror bird Gomphotherium/Mammoth/ other type of prehistoric elephants Megatherium I would possibly like to see an insect onr but that one would be most likely. I don't think Indominus should be a hexagon here. It would most likely be a species you can create through hybridization. That feature was shown in the footage, albeit locked. The more likely species are Iguanodon, Allosaurus, Baryonyx, and Carnotaurus.
It's a great analysis, but I would change some of them. Carcharodontosaurus/Carnotaurus, Minmi/Oviraptor and Giganotosaurus/Mamenchisaurus I think they are more interesting options. I dont know about Tarbosaurus its almost like a T rex. I know you're taking the map as guide but also it's very possible they've not reveal other excavation points.

Rex, Tyrannotitan, Utahceratops, Velociraptor, Wuerhosaurus, Xenoceratops or Xenoposeidon, Yutyrannus And Indominus Rex and Stegoceratops in the last 2 spots And that’s my list!
I think your forgetting Stygimolych and Allosaurus, as they're in the Fallen Kingdom movie. As such, it would kinda make sense that they'd get a slot in the game.

Personally I like your method of the hexagons myself. I think it's probably pretty close overall. I do wonder though if they intend to fill in those gaps at all or if they're purposefully leaving them open for dlc that is already planned potentially. Not sure though, and definitely hoping they release more game-play/ information soon so I can stop obsessively watching all these speculation videos

Hey best in slot, Just thought of something. If we have indominus rex confirmed, then shouldn't we have an abelisaur in order to make the hybrid? I know that doesn't exactly fit snug but I am thinking that Carnotaurus is the obvious choice. The indo has those elements as is and if I recall there aren't really any other abelisaurs in jurassic park cannon. I know the base geonome is supposedly a T-rex but not involving an abelisaur is almost cheating lol. Thoughts mah dude?

Honestly, after that Deinonychus, I'm not sure if I trust Frontier to model dromaeosaurs. I'm a little shook as to what a potential Unenlagia or Utahraptor would look like. Also, Herrerasaurus can't be included, since it's a Triassic dinosaur and the only South American dig site present in the game is the Candeleros formation, which is Cretaceous,
2:00 the gaps are there probably just as a design choice, to resemble a genome pattern...
I just hope that they include more species that not many people know about. It would get them more known.

If you're looking for something other than Unenlagia, perhaps Tanycolagreus ? As it's in Jurassic World: Alive and a step above Raptors.

Yes the German PC Games said 40 dinosaurus. But they also said they have no knowledge of any special editions, so we might get 40+5 dinosaurs. I have made a thread on this on the Frontier forums.

I don't think Indominus should be a hexagon here. It would most likely be a species you can create through hybridization. That feature was shown in the footage, albeit locked. The more likely species are Iguanodon, Allosaurus, Baryonyx, and Carnotaurus.
It's a great analysis, but I would change some of them.
Carcharodontosaurus/Carnotaurus, Minmi/Oviraptor and Giganotosaurus/Mamenchisaurus I think they are more interesting options. I dont know about Tarbosaurus its almost like a T rex.
I know you're taking the map as guide but also it's very possible they've not reveal other excavation points.

I think your forgetting Stygimolych and Allosaurus, as they're in the Fallen Kingdom movie. As such, it would kinda make sense that they'd get a slot in the game.

Personally I like your method of the hexagons myself. I think it's probably pretty close overall. I do wonder though if they intend to fill in those gaps at all or if they're purposefully leaving them open for dlc that is already planned potentially. Not sure though, and definitely hoping they release more game-play/ information soon so I can stop obsessively watching all these speculation videos

Hey best in slot, Just thought of something. If we have indominus rex confirmed, then shouldn't we have an abelisaur in order to make the hybrid? I know that doesn't exactly fit snug but I am thinking that Carnotaurus is the obvious choice. The indo has those elements as is and if I recall there aren't really any other abelisaurs in jurassic park cannon. I know the base geonome is supposedly a T-rex but not involving an abelisaur is almost cheating lol. Thoughts mah dude?
